Its amazing to think about how different the 2 teams (this & last season) are as well,last season was stunning football at times and 2nd was fully deserved as we were immense. This season weve been brutal for the most part but ground out point after point. I know it wont happen but i would love to see McManus,Hutch,Faddy& Ainsworth stay and us go into a euro campaign with a settled and slightly improved team to see how we do

Wasnt bothered by Reid staying or going up till today, he has been solid enough if unspectacular. However, I thought he was superb today,the only times I really heard Pawlett mentioned was when the commentators were talking about Reid marking him. The big lad deserves his contract

I just hope we get Hollis to fuck and bring in an actual Goalkeeper next season. Big Hutch was incredible n defensively apart from the shitty midget in goal it was prob the best ive seen us defend this season.

Not sure about the Lasley love in,he has been decent at times,occasionaly superb but ive seen him 3 times this season be utter shite,most recently a waste of a jersey against Utd. POTY has to be Sutton,then prob Ainsworth,10 goals n as many assists from wing is a superb contribution

My gripe isnt with Ainsworth,its with the Manager. Its his job to mould a team but he insists on 4-4-2 with full backs pushing forward. In this formation Ainsworth leaves the defence exposed and does fuck all work for the team,this means on games when he doesnt score or set anything up he becomes a total liability. I reckon on the top right of a 4-2-3-1 or up front he would be dynamite for us,even wide in 4-4-2 against poorer teams

And who will replace Ramsden for the 30 games a season he is injured?

Cant believe anyone would vote for anyone other than Gunner,no chance with at least 4 of the goals and 3 or 4 very good saves,esp the 1 in the first from Ciftci and in the second tipping Ciftci's drive onto the post. Could have been 7 if not more.

Its a difficult 1. For me,a successful season is a cup qf and 4th in the league based on Rangers,Hibs & Hearts being basket cases. BUT as I want to see my club survive and prosper is that enough? Weve finished 2nd & 3rd last 2 years and lost £750k, so thats where Id say success this year would be 2nd and anything else will be ok to poor. We need money to stop the playing budget shrinking even more and if that happens we would be in real danger of dropping like a stone if our budget keeps going this way.

I can understand Kerr playing wide right as it was to neutralize Robertson as an attacking force which he did,its just unfortunate he wasnt comfortable enough to do anything going forward for US! Utd play 4-2-3-1, Rankine & Paton hold and pass through and GMS/Armstrong/Dow/Gauld are all mobile,fast,skilful and link well with Ciftci's movement. Why ,when that exact gameplan has already pumped us twice this season did we not set up to neutraĺize THAT? On the Ball,I was impressed with Leitch but positionally he wasnt great,not helped by McCall inexplicably playing him wide. Everytime Utd broke from the middle we had Kerr shadowing Robertson,Vigurs not interested in defending,Leitch all over the place and Lasley was running through quicksand so essentially they were 4v4 or better and their pace & movement ripped us up. Why couldnt we have gone 4-1-4-1 with Kerr Right back,Reid holding and ZFA wide right to offer some defensive help from there? As I said earlier I can understand the line up and formation but why,when itz simple to see where the problems are,can McCall not change or adapt?

I clapped most of Uniteds goals cause they were a joy to watch, clinical,technical and just lethal , tho its easier to look like Real Madrid when the opposition are set up and play like we did today.

Well that was a dreadful performance from the manager right through the team. The lineup was ok I thought, Kerr isnt a right midfielder in my opinion but was there to do a job and starting with Ainsworth wouldnt have made any difference as Robertson would have had free reign to join the Utd attack and rip us apart as well. The "formation" though shows us how much of a fucking idiot McCall really is. Vigurs + Lasley in the middle and Leitch left mid? The young lad kept drifting inside meaning Hammell continually had acres of space on the left with no-one on front of him which stifled any attacking play we built as we ALWAYS had to check back and end up lumping a long ball up to Sutton,or at the times when Sutton or Anier went left to support Hammell we were then left thin up top! And Uniteds strength ,4-2-3-1 with fast mobile midfielders, so we match them up against Vigurs + Lasley? Suicide! And it was shown with every united break, Vigurs was left in the utd half,Lasley was running through treacle and Hutch + McManus were forced to try defend against 4 mobile,technical + fast attackers. He made the subs at half time but why he didnt change the midfield + swap Vigurs for Leitch even after their 1st goal Il never know. The subs he did make also didnt help stopping United as the stronger we got in the middle with Leitch being there, we were left with Robertson running up as Ainsworth had absolutely no fucking interest in running backwards to help. Player wise, Hammell was pretty poor, Reid was ok but limited. Vigurs was poor in the first half and deserved the hook, Lasley was a total waste of a jersey, Sutton was too (all down to the so called referee) Anier + Kerr werent great and Hutch + McManus were pissing into the wind with the lack of support they were afforded. Moore looked bright but had nothing to work with, ZFA as well and Ainsworth scored but was hopeless defensively. Leitch played well considering how pish we were and big Gunnar (cant believe im saying this) was our best player by a mile and it could have been 8 without him. His 2 saves,1 in each half, from Ciftci were superb. The "Referee was a total fucking disgrace, how this clusterfuck is allowed to go home with £900 after that performance is a mystery. Sutton was wrestled and molested everytime the ball came to him and was penalised everytime, I honestly do not know how McLean can say Sutton has fouled the defender when the defender has 1 arm across Suttons face + the other dragging him down? And it happened to a couple of United strikers in the second half as well. Utd denied a stonewall pen,inconsistent with cards and generally looked fucking miles out his depth. If we`d taken one of the 2 or 3 chances we made at the start of the second half it might have changed the game but it would have been papering over the cracks. Utd were devastating on the break but we did our utmost to help make it easy for them. Overall a bad day at the office and no doubt McCall will come out in the post match interview with his usual "we will learn from this/United were brilliant today/were hurting and we will make sure this doesnt happen again" etc etc pish but we really fucking need to pull the finger out now. Aberdeen now have Celtic + Utd at Tannadice so 2 home wins could see us go into the final game at least level and possibly 2 points ahead in second, quite how that the case is a fucking mystery even Columbo couldnt figure out as we have been generally murder this season,but we still have a massive opportunity to add some much needed pennies to the coffers. Mr McCall + the squad, its time to earn your corn and stand up + be counted! No more talking or excuses, Now is the time!

Credit where its due,ive called big Gunnar pish and still believe he is one of the poorest in the league. But that pen save was 1 of the best ive seen in a long long time and he was solid throughout! Hopefully he can keep it up for the next 5 games and make up a bit for being shite the rest of the season

Brines is a dodgy cunt. Always has been. I remember back in the early 90`s when he was in the RAF in Kinloss he was a regular ref for the Forres Welfare. He was booked to ref 2 cup semi`s on the same sunday as we were short of Refs and he was a hound for the pound, 1 in Forres at 2 + 1 in Kinloss at 4, when he was asked what we would do if the first game went to extra time or pens he allegedly just laughed + said, the first game wont go to extra time, allegedy

I dont think it is actually, I think were in an amazing position for playing 33 of a 38 game season with no real keeper and an unfit team. However, the fact remains, people have been saying the same thing since pre season. Firstly we werent fit cause it was early season and we were still building our fitness and bedding in new players,then it was down to a system change , then its cause we had a small squad who played regularly, then its cause McCall insisted on playing several injured players and now its cause were carrying injuries. Same shite different day. For the majority of our team, being so called professional athletes but spending the majority of the season blowing out their arse after 60 mins of running around is embarrassing

but weve been unfit and struggling toward the end of matches since pre season, No wonder the players love McCall, by the looks of it they paid a grand or two a week to turn up and kick a ball around for a couple hours a few days a week then play a game of football and spend the rest of the time at the golf or in Nandos.
