Dont rate Hollis and he had a couple of flaps but all in all he was pretty decent. The big thing for me is how much more comfortable the defence looked & acted today. Great result and delighted to see McCall,no matter how grudgingly it was done, play some of the young guys

Lawson & Vigurs were fantastic last season playing in a certain formation,McCall has no idea how to utilize them and thats why they have been relatively poor. Anybody but Nielsen Ramsden,Hutch,McManus,Hammell Ainsworth,Carswell/Las,Lawson,Vigurs,ZFA/Faddy Anier Is how we should line up with the squad we have,but McCall always goes to the 4-4-2 which leaves no room for passengers ,injury or poor form Anyway, to saturday. I can see us dropping points again, dont think we will lose but wouldnt surprise me. A win is a must,a fit team is a must and unfortunately I have zero faith in McCall delivering either

Thats a dangerous game to play. We now have an aging team with Ramsden,Hammell,McManus, Lasley,Lawson,Ainsworth,Faddy,Sutton all 30 or more. We need a balance and we need saleable assets and for that we NEED to develop our kids.

Very true, but with McCall`s point blank refusal to play our young players (who actually are fit!) and try patch up the Lasleys,Carswells,McManuses etc game by game how exactly are we going to get lads fit? or is it once Ramsden is fit,Lasley can take time to rehab etc? McCalls choices here are in danger of fucking up our season even worse than our cup embarrassments

I dont care if he tries to get rapport with fans,Id rather he tried harder at being a goalkeeper. The guy is the worst keeper in the SPL and possibly the worst in the top 2 divisions in Scotland. Confidence or not the mistakes he makes in almost every game are mistakes that 12 year old kids make and should have been trained out of him at an early age. Ok he may not be a billy big baws but he is picking up a wage (and a pretty good one compared to your average joe) to be a professional goalkeeper while consistently performing like a half cut sunday morning amateur so I believe the outburst is merited. Id like to see Murray/Reid at rb and Leitch start in centre mid. Maybe even a wee shape change to 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-3-2 to limit the work/running Las needs to do. But everyone knows McCall will not promote a youngster unless the only other option is starting with 10 (and even then I reckon he'd seriously consider playing for a draw wi 10!) No matter form or fitness,same starting 11 as friday. Reid will come on 2nd half once weve shipped a couple of stupidly defended goals and we will finish steadily with a 2-1 loss,maybe scrape a draw

I said the same watching it,Nielsen couldnt have given the boy a bigger gap to score if he'd run to the corner flag! But shocker of a passback from Hutch meant Dow was always favourite to score. And as unfit as we looked,you dont need to be fit to make a passback or mark a player,all goals came from defending that would make under 12's cringe The boy Reid looked solid enough but If I was Euan Murray id be at McCalls door tomorrow morning asking for an immediate loan anywhere and a release in the summer. Murray has been part of our squad for a couple years now, highly rated in the u-20 team and while we have right backs falling like flies he is overlooked and as a last resort we sign a guy who has sat scratching his arse for 8 months and he immediately plays before him. That in itself shows McCalls attitude to youth development.

Exactly. Lasley is pretty much the heart and soul of our team,Id rather lose him for 1 or 2 games than risk losing him for 6 or 7 due to playing him at half fitness

Were fuckin woeful. Its times like this McCall's mentality really bites us,instead of playing fit younger players when were struggling with injuries he persists in patching up the walking wounded and shuffling round his preferred players to alien positions. Still,no excuse for the amateur defending at both goals. Blatant pen denied but that would be papering over the cracks,its only a matter of how many for Utd now.
