Ritchie Jones is a crackin footballer,sure he is right wing but by no means pacy. More of a tidy technically sound player with a decent engine

I didn't put him in my team as I feel we should be seeing a phasing out and replacement with him. In a midfield 3, Lawson is far better defensively and Vigurs is far better offensively so the final place should alternate between Lasley & Carswell with Carswell developing more into a permanent fixture. Though I can't see it ever happening as with all the cringeworthy manlove for Keef,if he is ever dropped regularly from this team then our crowds will probably drop further As for Kerr,he has a lot of pace & a big physical presence,Id love to see him play as a centre half (where he has played all his days!)

That's just crazy,the reason were off form is due to formations! We have no pace,Faddy ain't a winger,Sutton ain't a target man (possibly not even a footballer by the looks of it so far) trying to shoehorn in Lawson + Lasley,Kerr on wing etc etc. McCall needs to pull his finger out pronto,this team look like poorly organized,unfit strangers! For all the talk of re-organizing and top class youth system etc we do look very primative, last season under JJ the youth team were unfit and played like strangers and we were told it was due to no pre season,what's the excuse this year? For a selling club who pride ourselves on our youth system were doing a grand job of putting any parents off wanting their kids to come here

But its not 2 games is it? We've had 4 competetive games,6 or 7 friendlies and 6 weeks of training together,not to mention weeks/months of prep time. Will take that as a start. Sign of a title winning team,playing badly and winning! Hollis still gives me fits anytime the opposition get into our final third but credit where its due,1 crackin save and a tidy overall game. Hutch was a bit slack at times but I love the pairing with McManus,who was a colossus! Lawson started tidily but got scrappy and Vigurs was shit,but to be expected when he clearly ain't a winger. Faddy was trying to do too much. Forgot McHugh was playing till he got subbed and Sutton was absolutely fucking pish,held nothing up,gave ball away all day and apart from a weak shot & falling over contributed nothing. We desperately need some width & pace,but even with that I can see this being a frustrating season. We have the tools to potentially take anyone in scotland but will throw a lot of points away against the wee teams like Ross Co,St Midden & St Johnstone who will look to sit in & frustrate us

Didn't realise Hibs completed the signing of the boy Collins up front,very good player! We MUST support Sutton,simple fact is,if we go with him up top on his own,barring the odd long range wondergoal,we will be known as Motherwell Nil for a lot of the season. Teams knew last year we play nice football but if they sit in and flood midfield we struggle to break them down and end up playing side to side till we lose the ball,the gamechanger we had was pace to break coupled with the movement of ojamaa and they're both long gone now. We need to get teams thinking and need to be able to offer some pace + energy to the side. With that said,I reckon McCall will go with his usual and todays team will be the same as Thursday and the same as next Thursday,however Id love us to set up like below (3-5-2) Neilsen Ramsden/Hutchinson/McManus Kerr / ZFA Lawson/Carswell/Vigurs Sutton/Faddy Carswell & ZFA offer more pace and energy than Hammell & Lasley + Lawson is better than Lasley in the holding role. Kerr offers more presence & pace wide right. Faddy would give Sutton support and Vigurs would have time supported by Carswell & Lawson to pull the strings
