Don't agree that its being a panicky mile oot saying we will be bottom 6. At this exact moment this "squad" if you can call it that,will be relegated! (Due to us only having a very poor 9 or 10 man "squad" with severely limited goalscoring ability at the mo) when we bring men in obviously the squad will increase in quality and our chances of finishing higher will increase in turn but having to replace 11 of last seasons matchday 18 man squad on a reduced budget is an enormous task

Why? Our season starts Mid July! We have european games,league starting early august and as you,me and everyone else with a pulse knows,every point is a prisoner for us. We finished second this year and still made a fucking loss,we as a club simply cannot afford to finish any lower than 3rd or 4th so droppung points while we fanny about loiking for players is fucking suicide. Also,unless you have been living under a rock,you will know we have lost Randolph,Hateley,Law,Humphrey,Ojamaa,Higdon,McFadden,Saunders,Higginbottom,Kerr,Daley,Hetherington,Watt,Devlin, 7 First Team Players,4 from the bench & 3 back ups and have brought in 2! Who the fuck are we gonna play if we wait till August/Sept to find players? Are McCall & Black going to dust off their boots? Maybe Flow can replace Randolph? You never know,Dempster could make a decent right back? I'm not 1 of the panty wetters as u put it,but I do kbow the longer we go without rebuilding the more harm that is being done! THATS why we need to know what Faddy/Higdon/Hateley are doing,THATS why we need to sign players now rather than wait around

If hibs wana go from a 25 goal a season striker to a 5 goal a season striker I'm not gonna complain!

I can't see us playing Vigurs out left so I reckon its gonna be more 4-3-3/4-5-1 next year with Vigurs,Lawson + Lasley/Carswell in the engine room

I think Carswell,ZFA & maybe even Moore could be saleable but first they need regular first team football which is unlikely tbh . We don't get more than buttons for established first team guys nevermind bit part players

The biggest worry for me is that we can't afford even 1 poor season never mind a few. We've made a loss 3 years on the trot now,even with finishing 2nd,getting rangers in the cup on tv with 45,000 fans,Aberdeen x2 (1 on tv) in the scottish cup,and 2 bumper euro gates and £200k for Murphy! Add to that we have only 1 saleable asset in the squad and he will walk away next year for free and a smaller budget to replace 11 players meaning the likelyhood of bringing in another Ojamaa is not good. If we lose the euro tie and only get say 8,000 at Fir Park, get put out both cups early against the likes of Caley,finish 4th or below and someone signs Hutch on a pre contract in Jan,with our crazy budgeting we will lose £500k-£700k minimum,how can we take that hit without admin or worse?

Heard from a very good source that Utd are loiking to replace Russell with Tony Watt on a season loan. The bank will see the majority of the russell cash,McNamara will be lucky to see £100k of it! Iain Vigurs,Lee Miller + Gregg Wylde for Law,Higdon & Humphrey wouldn't be the worst scenario! Keep Faddy, replace Hateley & Randolph and we'd be jammin!

Really dissappointed in Law (& Humph + Hateley if they move on) but as has been said its their careers to fuck up. I'll have a chuckle when things go tits up for them but as for getting all riled up? I in all honesty am not surprised by them chasing the easy buck and couldn't give less of a fuck. You enjoy playing at east fife + arbroath next year + I'll enjoy watching my club carry on regardless

If McCall does leave,how would people feel about Paul Sturrock? Relatively successful career down south & massive experience & contacts from down there,plus used to working with shoestring budgets

McCall gets around £150k pa as Well manager. There was an article in the paper when Brown left us showing what we paid, what Aberdeen paid a manager (£200k - £250k) and Hearts were paying for Sergio (£250k +)

We couldn't afford him now but would've loved to have seen big Mitchell VanDerGaag back! One thing is,if we have to cut say another £100k from the budget this season,and receive say £250k for McCall & Black would the cash be put back into this seasons budget? Or kept so/incase we don't sell someone

There ain't much around in england at the mo that wouldn't cost us a decent compo fee. Of course we would need to see who applied but the potentials aren't too intriguing

Never liked Hartley as a player but really impressed by him as a manager so far. Very successful 2 years,plays open attacking football,new fitness and training ideas. Wouldn't mind him at all if McCall goes
