Would Love to see us keep Faddy,Kerr,Humphrey & Higdon. Obv wouldn't want to lose hateley either but of those he will be easier/cheaper to replace. Lawson will be a good signing. We still need a Law type playmaker to add into the middle as well but with Las (who will be 35 this year and looks past it a good amount of the time) Carswell + Lawson were not looking too bad.

I certainly am! All of those clubs have made hundreds of thousands on kids who haven't even made it at first team level yet. If we had the same we wouldnt be cutting our budget yet again!

And McHugh is decidedly average at that,dissappointed we gave him another 2 years tbh. Our youth development is shite really,Carswell is the only player we've had come thro in years. Cummins,ZFA,Hutch were all signed for the 19s and every1 else has been ditched. We seem to regularly have several players in scotland u16/17/19 teams then from 19's they stagnate. Question has to be asked,Why?? I also feel sorry for this years u20 team. No coach till after season started,no pre season,and a squad of mainly 16/17 yo kids playing essentially reserve team football and getting regularly hammered. That's gonna do fuck all to develop a player

I thought Adam Asghar was pretty highly rated? I hope we bring in 3 or 4 guys for the 20s team cause having a squad of 17 year old kids getting pumped every week wont exactly bring positive development

Unfortunately I reckon this is exactly what's goin on! Law said as much in that report with the "I'm lucky to have Stuart McCall for advice on my next move" fuckin pish. Randolph deserves a better team in my opinion but its a good move and hope to see him excell down there. Can't help but think we shot ourselves in the foot there tho. Celtic sign guys like Ki,Wanyama,Hooper etc for buttons,hype the fuck out them and sell for millions. Dumpdee Utd develop kids like Goodwillie,hype the fuck out them and sell for millions. We have the best keeper in Scotland and the most praise McCall ever gave him was "hes certainly capable of league 1 or maybe a championship team" we get fuck all in offers and he leaves for nowt. I guarantee he will be a top premiership keeper in 2-3 years!

If were looking at League 2 down south,there's a couple of interesting potential replacements for Law. Alan Judge of Notts County & Marlon Pack of Cheltenham are both on frees,Pack would require a fee as he is under 23, UNLESS he moved cross border. Both looking to progress higher, both in pfa team of the year + both would be a surprise if we pulled it off. Now where we heard that before?

I spent 300 quid on my season ticket and only made 12 games mainly due to fixture list fucking about and bought a top only to find it half price a day later so technically I've given the club 80 quid more than I would've normally. Id give them another 80 in a heartbeat if it meant helping keep this team together!

It is a buyers market your right and I reckon we will find more than a few decent players but were gonna have to cause I just can't see any way we can afford to keep any of the OOC guys. Losing Rangers has hurt but surely with the Abdn cup game & replay and Rangers cup gate plus 2 bumper euro gates AND an unexpected 3rd Celtic game added to the extra cash for finishing 2nd has offset that and more! I'm just concerned how bad shape we will be in next year if we don't finish 2 nd or 3rd again,that seriously could be curtains for us as without financial backup were ripe for admin! The biggest pisser is this tho,Every fucking year we have success we immediately rip out the feel good factor by announcing the budget will be cut,this guy is leaving,that guy is leaving etc. We had it before the cup final,lat year when we got 3rd and now after all but guarnteeing 2nd. Has anyone at the club ever heard of positive fucking spin?

I just don't understand this. WTF are we budgeting for? Cause if we budget for top 6 or higher & cup runs every year then Dempster & Weir need fucking shot. At this rate 1 season finishing bottom 6 would mean certain administration. McCall is saying the right things but the fact is its bollocks,if our budget is cut we will not keep 1 single player who is OOC. Our squad is already the smallest in the league so we need to replace every body that leaves. To keep them we'd need to offer a higher wage,doing that would probably mean 1 less player. At this rate we are gonna end up with a squad of U20's, the same players who have been getting roasted by 4 or 5 nearly every week in the reserve league! We need balance or we risk damaging these kids before they start!

Aye thats about right. £3.5m is near enough our turnover at last accounts. Sure I heard £1.6m pa for wages (£32k pw) compared to Celtics £14m pa wage bill!

POTY 1. Higdon - not just goals but overall play has been fantastic 2. Law - brilliant schemer,had a fantastic season and the potential to make a very good living out the game 3. Randolph - best keeper in scotland by a mile quite simply, worth 15+ points a season to us YPOTY - 1. Ojamaa - workrate and attitude are fantastic,been a superb foil for Higdon 2. Hutch - Been a Colossus at times for us 3. ZFA - Will get more game time next season but looks a very exciting prospect Goal of the season - 1. Higginbotham scissor kick v Hibs 2. The only way to introduce play offs in that way is to open a second SPL relegation spot tho,sure the teams would rather a play off for 11th than automatically down! For what its worth,id advocate a 10 year plan. Start with Premiership of 12 with a split & Championship of 20 (non league pyramid below), playoffs between Prem 11 & Champ 2,3,4. Then in 5 years expand to 14 Premier with a split & 18 Championship,same play offs. 5 years later expand to the final system which would be 18 team Premiership & 14 team championship with split,2 Premiership relegation & Championship playoffs. This together with a 75% Majority voting structure, uniform youth development between all top 32 teams,FFP Rules,New and clear insolvency rules, Squad Cap,Non Eu player cap,Salary Cap & min 8 homegrown players per squad. Season starts last sat in July with mid season break in Jan & if any team wants to arrange 'glamour' friendlies during the season they are welcome to,all they will need to do is forfeit the domestic game they are binning and accept a fine and point deduction for bringing the game into disrepute.

Personally Id love to see either at Fir Park,McGowan for Law would be a superb swap! The only way we'd get close to Law is by paying a hefty transfer fee,McGowan is at the Apex of what we could hope for when replacing Law
