To be fair the "investments" we made last time in paying hundreds of thousands in fees & wages for the likes of Ged Brannan,John Spencer,Andy Goram,Karl Ready,Stevie Nicholls etc etc weren't exactly wise and none of them would have a sell on value higher than a begging note. That being said,we will never invest in the squad to any extent,nevermind the extent we'd need to keep the current lot together

I'm the same,have missed 4 games due to rescheduling so season ticket hasn't exactly been value. Picking and choosing games next season as I simply can't justify the outlay and also not paying premium for what could be a season of pimped up first division football

Lasley was shit for me, Randy,ZFA,Hateley,Humph,Law,Hutch all played well,Faddy drifted in & out but what a goal! Ojamaa put in some shift and I was gutted for him he didn't score. Overall went for Higdon due to his goal,defensive work and how well he led the line in difficult circumstances

The big man is effective and reliable,superb defending today as well with that block in the first half. Had a tough job today playing with 2 defenders in his shorts but worked his role well and provided yet another goal

Our midfield went to fuck after we scored and we gifted them an equalizer. Happy with the draw given the timing of their second! ZFA looked solid today,Hutch was a collosus and Hateley was excellent. Lasley was utter shite though and 1 we must replace in the summer either by Carswell or a new recruit,just too many miles on the clock now for 30-40 games a season. He drifted in and out but when he goes, there's nothing better than seeing Faddy rip the pish out of defenders,time and again he ghosted past 2 or 3 defenders like they weren't there, and the goal gave me a rager even 5 viagra couldn't top! 1 major problem today was that so called Referee! Honestly a baffling performance, looked like he was just guessing decisions for both teams,pulled us up for taking a throw 3 yards further up the pitch but letting St Midden steal 8-15 yards every throw! And the most bizarre decision I think I have seen in all my life when he penalized Lasley for passing the ball as the St Midden player fell over trying to half him lol

I don't even think he's overrated,he's a very good player on his day and generally consistent........... BUT his set piece taking is fucking awful,yes we've scored 7 from his corners now but lets be honest,Leanne Dempster or Flow could take 200 odd corners for us and we'd score from 6 or 7.

Broon to tell the media hs had the option to sign Faddy but didn't bother, then try take sum credit for us beating celtic. Before we ride his team 3-0 (or even. only 1-0,as long as we win!)

Higginbotham was fuckin woeful tonight. Seems to have pace but more of a sand dancer who does nothing but attempt 14 stepovers then cut back onto his right foot and wait for the defence to settle before playing a pass. Here's a fucking novel idea Mr Manager, play a left footer in left mid occasionally? Hutch was Jekyll + Hyde,generally woeful but threw in some superb blocks. Higdon was anonymous and Ojamaa a bit clueless. Humph did well but not much came off for him. Hateley needs benched,fucking diabolical! And set pieces? Don't see the point in them,we'd be as well giving the ball back to the other team n starting again. Sat is gonna be the exact same. Ross County will fill the centre and hit on the counter and we will huff + puff but do fuck all really before shit defending gives away a goal. Been the same all season,wish we cd play reckless teams like Caley every week instead of teams who can actually defend

Its entirely possible (very very likely in my view) you could have 4 or 5 seasons with no actual promotion / relegation. Disgusting!

Schools football was killed by pro clubs who signed the best kids and denied permission for them to play for their school team. And the fact there were no coaches,it was teachers who took the teams and the time,politics and paperwork involved meant their involvement was far more hassle than it was worth

we might have money to bring someone in - but with a small squad, it has to be someone who can improve what we have. Hateley, Carswell and Ramsden can all play as a holding midfielder - so unless we bring someone in who can do better than them - is it a wage well spent? Maybe someone in that position is highly sought after the way most teams play these days - and we cant compete with wages True but the money can be spent elsewhere then. If Hateley is the answer,we bring in a right back,if its sicknote Ramsden then we bring in a centre half! I love going to fir park and watching goals but weve sold Murphy,if Higdons goals dry up we have no-one capable of scoring regularly then we must depend heavily on an abortion of a defence

First was a great goal,second was yet another free shot from the edge of the box! The centre mids should've bn around putting pressure on that but were missing as usual. 1 thing that needs to happn is Ojamaa up top and Higginbotham/ZFA on the left if were going 4-4-2. Ojamaa was too far back when he picked the ball up to create properly and offered no defensive support,we need that with our centre mid as soft as it is

Its not the shape its the players in it. Lasley is past it and simply cannot hold a candle to Jennings in the defensive role,therefore Him + Law will be overrun no matter the formation. Amd as for the "no money" patter,we offered Stevenson a 2yr deal in August,whered that cash go?

Aye I know but it depends how you pitch it. Same wi Ryan Donnelly & Mark McNulty who have had trials with Wigan & Derby in the summer . Fact is if they went south they wouldn't get near first team for a year or so and though those clubs could offer more,we could double what they currently earn easy enougg,sign them on a 3 or 4 yr contract and help develop them to earn their move in 1 or 2 years. All under 25 ,cheap as chips n most would definately enhance our squad

Cant help but feel Murph is bein pushed out the door here and its pretty gutting. So refreshing to see a player with genuine affections for his club and not the mercenaries that fill the game nowadays. All the best Jamie! Best of luck down the road

While I agree mostly with you I do think that's a little harsh considering the majority of that time he was behind Craggs/Hutch. Haven't seen enough to make my mind up properly but he has impressed in most of the games he played & spent a good time on loan at Stirling Albion where he looked fantastic & scored regularly. Was he just not up to it? Was he meerly unlucky? We will prob never know

Aye I forgot its fuckin daft to sign a good quality player on a pca for buttons when you can wait till the summer and either spend more on a lesser quality player or blow a tonne on sum1 just cause you can

That quote gives me the fear! With McCall in charge there's prob a good chance this summer we will lose Randy, Saunders,Hutch,Law,Humph,Ojamaa,Zfa,Higdon while Ramsden & Omar will get extensions. They should be first out the door!
