Yesterday he made 2 or 3 good blocks and his covering at times shows he can read the game pretty well for a raw 19yo kid, going forward his use of the ball + powerful running is a massive plus so he is a very useful weapon for us and has the potential to develop into a real player

it looked more 3-4-3 than 3-5-2 as Murphy + Ojamaa were right up top and roving the whole game. the first 5 mins I was shitting myself but after we scored we looked phenomenal. Yes there were 1 or 2 scares but we would have those no matter the formation. 1 thing is for sure, Aberdeen were simply torn apart by the pace + drive of Murphy,Angol + Ojamaa and bit Higdon led the line superbly. Id love to see us line up the same against Killie. Another major plus was having Humphrey on the bench,imagine having those 3 running you ragged all game, then Humph gets introduced with 20 to go,frightening when it clicks

He has the ability to find 1 or 2 gems but not an entire team and by the looks our scouting network is either shite or non existant. I said to my old man at the game that we were equal to a man down wi Humph for most of the 2 nd half cause no matter what , we refused to feed him. Then when we do he creates a goal! The space he had,if wed bothered to use him more we could have had 1 or 2 more. ZFA was great in his cameo n Higdon took.gis goal superbly. I agree Carswell should be given a chance but for me its the formation that's the biggest problem! CD - major weakness,some good defenders but zero experience CM - major weakness,Lasley past it,Law clueless defensively,zero experience in the rest. LM - weakness,Murphy is a striker,Law can't play wide as he ALWAYS drifts in,leaving a huge gap Attack- weakness,Higdon can be isolated,Ojamaa is a creator,McHugh doesn't really impress Crossing - major weakness,Murph,Humph,Hammell & Hateley are among the worst in the SPL for crossing What we need is to balance the midfield,protect the defence & still keep an attacking threat. Personally Id try 3-5-2, Randolph Cummins,Ramsden,Hutchinson Hateley,Carswell,Lasley,Law,Hammell Ojamaa,Higdon Protection in numbers for Cd,plus 5 in Mid makes it tougher to play through us. Law is released to rove,link with Hammy + create. 5 in mid plus Ojamaa's movement would give more options for moving the ball quicker in attack. Plan B would be Kerr & ZFA giving useful cover for Hateley & Hammell plus Murph & Humphrey as 2 game changers in attack. Those 2 would provide an option to freshen up attack,inject pace out wide & if a plan C was needed, easily change formation to 3-4-3 or 4-4-2.

I've been really impressed woth ZFA so far. Good pace,decent on the ball and reads the game better than any other defender we have at the moment. Still needs some development but very very promising. Our prob now is this fucking U20 league. Carswell,Cummins,McHugh,Devlin & ZFA would make significant strides in their development if they were loaned for a full season to a Dumbarton or the like but Our squad is just not deep enough to cope with that. Couple that with the fact we have 5+ 17 year olds playing U-20/Reserve football and were playing with the real possibility of stunting their development too

Our club is lacking a real leader at the helm. Youth Development is appaling now,the 1st team is so thin no-one seems to give a fuck cause there guaranteed a start every week no matter what and the admin side,while getting better,seems to lurch from 1 clusterfuck to the next. The ship is rudderless. We need a revolution of sorts,and just when we may see that with the Well Society were told we need hundreds of thousands more investment before the fans would control the majority.
