  1. i am against signing fees for loans in general, but surely with getting £400k this month we would NEVER have budgeted for it would have made sense to release a small amount to ensure we get someone to score goals? I do not in any way want MFC to sign shite for the sake of it but the fact is we have 4 strikers at the moment in Murphy,Sutton,Casagolda and Smith (McHugh as well but he`s out for 6 weeks) Casagolda has been fit almost all season and started 1 game, that should tell you enough there about his ability, Smith went to Dumbarton and was shite by all accounts so it sounds like he aint anywhere near ready for 1st team football so what exactly do we do if Sutton or Murphy get injured/suspended? were struggling enough as it is with Sutts + Murph up top, we desperately needed a striker this month and didnt get one, thats why people are unhappy. McCall was brought to the club because of his contacts in english football, he had a decent amount to spend on wages and a month to sign a striker and he failed! Either the board has failed to support him even a small amount or McCall has failed in his job to replace what weve lost. Either way it doesnt fill you with confidence and the team is far weaker than it was at the beginning of the month
  2. that could be your answer. Jones + Gunning came in and Fitzy + Gow left, We had Reynolds + Blackmans combined wages to finance other signings and couldnt manage 1? with bringing in £100/150k cash for Reynolds + £150/200k for the cup semi,as well as the extra £80k for our Dundee cup game on sky there must have been a few pennies to cover a loan fee or two? amazed there was no budget for this. And very fucked off McCall couldnt do his job either, doesnt bode well for the future
  3. excuses excuses, McCall was brought in due to his "extensive contacts" etc down south and couldnt even get us 1 striker? Either McCall is not being backed by the board or he`s going after the wrong players but someones making a c**t of it here. And now were left praying nothing happens to Sutton + Murphy or were faced with the prospect of depending on 17 + 19 year olds to score the goals for the team (id add Casagolda but as he`s STILL not getting a decent chance Im assuming McCall thinks he`s shite and not worth a game)

Webster would be a great signing, left sided centre back to replace Craggs! Doubt we could afford him tho

    Rangers

Jennings was the best player on the park, praying we pull a rabbit out the hat and get him signed up to a long term deal

    Semi Final

the exact same challenge happened (think it was by jenno) about 5 mins after the pen shout and Collum couldnt wait ti get the whistle to his lips for a Gers free kick, fuckin sick of those c***s gettin everything, not only do they have far better + more expensive teams, they get all the fucking luck (Alexander save) and fucking decisions (Weirs rear naked choke on Sutton in the pen box), hate the scummy c***s

    Semi Final

noticed that today as well, looked very comfortable + composed on the ball, just lacked that final cutting edge but far better than we have managed recently

    Semi Final

why do we always have to lose big games like that? almost makes you want to play shite + get pumped just to reduce the hurt. Craggs lost his man too easily for their 2nd and looked pretty shaky in general, Hutch was immense, Saunders,Murph,Sutton,Hammell + Humph really came onto a game in the 2nd half and Lasley + Jenno in the middle were fantastic from the first whistle. Just highlights our need for someone to score goals unfortunately. Sure Sutts should have had a pen early in 2nd half as well Proud of the team + performance and the fans who were there were fantastic as well. Unlucky guys, onwards + upwards hopefully

    Ins & Outs

That kids got a real big future in the game, came from juniors to Dumbarton and has been a stand out. 17 or 18 year old right back, been down for a trial @ Preston just before xmas

    Ins & Outs

aye got his first start of the season on new years day and scored a brace, started 3 times since. Out of contract in july tho so maybe he is/could be on the way out?

    Ins & Outs

Eh, I thought he was human But I forgot, Hutch won tackles, bullied strikers, played the ball well and won headers all day but made 1 mistake so automatically was poor? even the worlds best players make mistakes, this new guy will make a c**t of things at times as well, just cause he`s with a premiership team doesnt mean his shit dont stink. I do wish the lad well,he`s gonna be playing for my team but its not looking for negativity to put the points I have put across tonight, I havent questioned the guy, only Stuart McCalls judgement if this guy walks in and Hutch ends up getting dropped

    Ins & Outs

Obviously we do,you need a squad to compete. And Im sure McCall will bring in attacking players before deadline but I certainly feel this signing was the wrong kinda player,we needed experience but if this guy is all we can manage its a body in and better than nothing, My only problem with that is it sounds like McCall is gonna stick this guy right in,in place of Hutchinson and I feel that is very wrong and will harm the development of our own guys. I know if I was Hutch and was knocking my pan in week in week out,got in the team and looked the part, got unlucky wi injuries but knocked my pan in to work my way back into the team, got my break again and took it with both hands then I get punted back out the team for some nobody just cause he`s with a premiership team Id tell McCall to get fucked and demand a transfer as Its obvious Id never gonna get anywhere at MFC

    Ins & Outs

Of course we need to strengthen the team,It would be foolish to think otherwise,BUT the defender we needed was someone in the Steve Jones mould to help with experience not some kid for the sake of signing someone. We have not 1 attacking midfielder in our 1st team squad, bring in a premiership kid (or anyone for that matter) in that position, our strikers are struggling to score goals and are short in numbers, bring in a premiership kid to replace Blackman + Gow. Forbes has struggled a bit so bring in another midfielder and let Forbes work on his fitness and develop a bit But in defence, Reynolds has left and Hutchinson has come into the first team and proved himself very capable, Page has also come in and proved himself very capable so how does it benefit us to fuck them out the team to fit in a kid as young/younger than them who will be off in 4 months? whats that gonna do for their confidence?
  14. Shaka

    Ins & Outs

Yip, we have our own young defenders to develop, remember, we need to develop players to sell! I should have been more specific, he better not walk into the team in place of Hutch! (if he`s great and displaces Craggs, who is a bombscare just now, then while not ideal I wouldnt complain) Hutch is OUR PLAYER and has come in and been more than capable so how much of a kick in the balls would it be if he was then punted out the team for some young loan signing who will fuck off back to Blackburn Reserves,Rochdale or wherever else in the summer? As for Halsman, the kid has been a revelation in the 3rd Division this season, surely good enough to be back up incase Hammell gets injured,we also have Page who can be emergency cover
  15. Shaka

    Ins & Outs

not impressed at all with this, this guy better not walk into the team. Jordan Halsman has knocked back another loan to Annan + He is a left back so no idea wtf McCall is on about no left back cover for Hammell, and what must Hutch + Page be thinking? add experience aye but not sign a premiership youngster for the sake of signing a premiership youngster. We need someone to score goals, not some 20 year old defender
  16. ive always said the exact same thing, ok he can hit some shite crosses, even Ronaldo or Beckham do that, but the amount of superb crosses he puts over into space in the back post only to see theres no-one there to meet them is unreal
  17. Shaka

    Ins & Outs

Announce the same with Steve Jennings + John Sutton and we jammin. Still need a new body or 2 desperately tho
  18. Shaka

    Steve Jones

First half all I saw him do was lose the ball time and again trying flicks n tricks. When he settled into the game and played the simple ball or ran at defenders he looked a tidy player. Considering his lack of game time and not knowing his team mates, he looks a useful addition
  19. What about the enigma, Holm Kraska! or £50k for Stephen Halliday we almost signed my best mate for £5k from Nairn County after we played them pre season during Harri Kampmans time. He played centre half and impressed but broke his leg in his next match and after complications, never healed before Kampman got the bullet. My other good m8 was the 17 year old keeper for Nairn and was named man of the match even tho County lost 5-0, Bella pulled off a string of great saves + saved an Owen Coyle pen)
  20. I still greet when I remember Eddie Forrest used to be a Motherwell player!
  21. nah it was the same as any free agent, like Porter,Jenno,Humph,Coke + Randy we wouldve paid a small signing on fee. O`Brien was the same but it was a training fee as he was under 23. The last player we actually paid for was Stevie Hammell im sure
  22. £150k for Andy Roddie, £100k for Stevie Nicholas and £100k + Stevie Kirk & Paul McGrillen for Eddie May, weve had some fantastic dips into the transfer market in the last 10-15 years

didnt mean it to sound that harsh lol, just meant the pen was his fault
