Can someone let me know the score from yesterday cause It turns out I mustve been watching another Well v Hibs game. Several times Humphrey was so fast he had to stop,hold the ball up and beat his man before crossing,not every ball was perfect but most were pretty damn good wether he had time or not. Even in the second half when he was struggling,he carved out 2 of our best chances. Hanlon had a roasting the entire time Humphrey was on the park. And as for being comfortable with Hibs attack in the first half, whos keeper was busiest in that half? cause the game I watched it was Rudolf (our new keeper according to the radio commentry team) Craggs + Reynolds were pulled apart the whole game, on several attacks Hibs had extra men over or acres of space. Im not knocking Craggs cause he`s been solid so far but to overlook his distribution is blinkered in the extreme. Its a defenders job to defend,its also his job to try build attacks + try keep posession. launching the ball out the park or to Hibs players invites pressure! Not as bad as Reynolds performance but cretainly not an 8/10 performance

Thats the same team Id play sunday,however, Sutton + Humphrey wide with Murph up top, 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 style. Hibs will go 4-4-2 / 4-2-4 with Riordan,Pish,Stokes + Wotherspoon up top, having Lasley,Jenno + Hateley will stifle them in midfield + shut off the supply up top, then we have Sutton as an outball + Humph/Murph to offer pace on the counter

I think thats more the way Broon will be thinking, he seems to love playing Sutts wide left

looking at his videos on youtube he seems to have a bit of a spring, there were a few attempts at that and he cut them out, plus positioning and pace can negate a lack of height, the only time it would be a problem is at set pieces but theres ways round that

Its got nothing to do with relegation,St Midden,Hamilton + Killie should have that issue sown up,infact Id bet my house on 1 of those 3, however the thing that is worrying me is if we dont sign anyone and finish 9th, instead of the 4th - 6th we would be capable of, our playing budget will be slashed even more next summer!! Its a slippery slope

We have lost our top scorer + best creative player without replacing them, where else are the goals gonna come from? our squad isnt that big! If for instance we replace Lukas, we have - New Guy, Sutton, Murphy main strikers with Smith + McHugh back up. At the moment we have Sutton,Murphy,McHugh + Smith, a lot of pressure on 3 guys of 22,19+19! If we replace JOB, we have - New Guy, Humphrey ,with guys like Lawless back up. At the Moment we have Humphrey! Sutton + Forbes playing wide weaken other areas + put pressure on guys like McHugh,Meechan etc so whatever way we look at it,they are gonna be needed a lot if we dont make new signings!

I wasnt degrading any Motherwell player there, Id have Sutton before Kyle any day of the week, I was just pointing out, Kyle has a decent strike rate and is something Hearts have been missing, thats all

So you think its right for us to rely massively on 3 untried 19 year olds this season? Come on, yes its great we have youngsters coming through, a real feather in the clubs youth development cap but you blood youngsters in slowly, throwing them into a tough SPL season cause theres no-one else is a recipe for a ruined career. We need a main striker and a left winger of good quality to replace Lukas + JOB, Coke not so much as we have a lot of cover there. But the first two are a must, then we can allow McHugh, Smith,Meechan,Page,Lawless etc time to develop

Kyle also played lone striker for a relatively poor Kilmarnock side in that time,so not really a fair comparison and his game isnt just about goals,he wins the ball + holds up well 2 as he`s a tank, 16 goals in 40 games for killie in those 18 months is prob a better strike rate than any current striker at Fir Park! And Hearts problem has been for the last 2 seasons they havent really had a proper striker, now they have Elliot + Kyle, 2 guys wi a good pedigree and history together,someone to put the ball away has been the difference between the average Hearts team weve seen this last 2 years and a Hearts team qualifying for Europe etc!

I was actually on about our fellow top 6 contenders, St Johnstone,Hearts,Hibs,Aberdeen,Utd are all stronger than last year, Caley will be solid + have made a few good signings as well, of course thats on paper + were still to see if they all gel,but were the only 1 out of those teams to lose arguably their 2 most important players + not replace them, yes we have youngsters but its not fair to heap so much pressure on those guys,esp when they have the East stand waiting to slate them if they dont have a 100% pass completion rate and score a hat-trick every game

may not be a Boyd type, but Kyle will score plenty for Hearts! Everyone has improved player wise this summer apart from us, which is why a left winger + a striker is a minimum must! If neither come in,its gonna be a long season of prayer + a shed load of good luck to get us anywhere near 6th
