Thats exactly it, It should have been no1 priority to get in someone with a little creativity from the day after the Breidablik first leg but nothing, not replacing the 2 straight away is understandable, but not even replacing 1?. We now have a fantastic chance of making a money spinning game against a real Euro power (or even drawing a lesser name and possibly fluking our way into the group stage!) and In my opinion we are in serious danger of blowing it. I just cannot believe that in this economic climate, we could be within touching distance of £300k - £1m+ (our annual club turnover is £3.6m) and we could blow it due to an inability to bring in even 1 player in 4 weeks!
-
we should just grow a set and tell the Old Firm to split the money more evenly or get to fuck, then we`d be able to lower prices a bit! £12m pa for a tv deal, £4.5m each for them and the other 10 split £3m? piss off! Those c***y parasites have raped our game for long enough, time to call their bluff and tell them to help us all or piss off. They aint going to England, they aint going to some European jackanory league theyre stuck here so time to help instead of bleed our game more.

I dont like saying what I said, but even Stevie Wonder could see were crying out for those replacements, coupled with our tendancy to defend cross balls, set pieces + corners like a primary school team (and were playing a team who will try do that for 180 minutes!) and I just feel were gonna struggle, I really feel our best hope is to play Humphrey and counter them with his pace but with Humph playing in that friendly I dont think he is in Broons plans. If we go with Sutton through the middle and Murph + Humph wide we could do it but I cant see Pa Broon going with that. Of course I could be talking out a hole in my arse + this team is really shite and we turn them over, but going by the fact theyre full time,in the middle of their league, play to their strength(which is our major weakness) and play at a far better level that Breidablik, I think were gonna need all the luck in the world or 2 amazing performances to make it through
-
no chance we will go for it and no chance Humph will play unfortunately. we will go 4-5-1 (Sutton wide left,Hateley right + Murph as target man) with zero creativity and nothing up front, this team may not be world beaters but they will be fitter + stronger than Breidablik and as much as I really want us to go through, our lack of replacing O`Brien + Lukas means the best we can hope for is to fluke a draw or lose but get an away goal.
-
cut off the supply! 3 at the back, with Hutch man marking him, 5 to flood midfield and 2 to pester the defence + stop them shelling long balls! Also defend the second ball, let him flick on,just make sure it goes to no-one Plan B, pray we dont let them have 1 cross or corner + that we have the same luck as weve had against this icelandic mob Plan C , sign the Big Show on an emergency loan!

Wonder how possible it would be to charter a fishing boat + sail from Peterhead/Aberdeen straight over to Aalesund?
-
no goals conceded over 2 games but that has more to do with shocking finishing than good defending, with just a little luck / composure,Breidablick could have scored 5 over the 2 legs. Yet again, we crying out for a Lukas + an O`Brien type, and unless we sign at least 1 of those types by nxt thur weve blown an amazing chance at a real money spinner cause Aalesund will pump us, we will not be as lucky next round as we have been this!
-
yas, breakthrough
-
sounds like we missing Humphrey out wide, were doing fuck all attack wise
-
we sound fuckin shocking
-
poor start then, lucky not to be behind.
-
Hateley + Sutton werent great but I was quite happy with Humph last week,if we`d had a poacher in the middle we`d have scored 3 or 4 by half time with his crosses,ok not every single cross is perfect but his pace causes problems + 3 or 4 top quality crosses in 45 mins aint to be sniffed at,not his fault our "strikers" looked clueless when making runs
-
fully understand the situation with Fraser, but if we werent sure of getting rid + need to hawk him around, why did we sign Hollis? again we have a tiny budget already, lose our 4 best players of last year as well as a couple other squad players and need as many replacements as poss and so we give a 6 month extension to Fitzpatrick who will play 0 minutes of football + now have 3 full time goalkeepers, it beggars belief
-
my guess is Coventry will be paying a higher percentage of his wages! and maybe even a loan fee
-
if money is as tight as Broon is making out, why in the blue fuck did we give Fitzpatrick a new contract? ok it wont be a lot of money and its for 6 months but the guy is pish + will not play a single minute of football! In this climate, every penny counts! Really worrying the mixed messages coming out of Fir Park, Unless we replace O`Brien + Lukas minimum,we can kiss goodbye to any hope of top 6, I believe Killie,St Midden + Hamilton will be the bottom 3 but without any more firepower + creativity,we will be dragged into that scrap! money for Reynolds may help us but its well known the financial troubles of scottish football and were only encouraging vultures to circle by running around with the begging cap! Also, if we dont manage to qualify for europe and finish bottom 6, just how shite is our budget gonna be next year? worrying times.
-
Aye , he`ll offer £250k in 4 annual installments + we`ll still take it!
-
IF we get there, Dortmund,Stuttgart or Bayer Leverkusen would be my ideal picks, big teams so guarantees full house at Fir Park + TV Coverage here plus German tv coverage, were not gonna go through no matter who we`d play so whore as much cash out it as possible!
-
90% of those players are already fixed up now, and 99% of them are out of our wage reach
-
its not being shown by Icelandic or Scottish tv,so wheres the live feed coming from? Wd watch it myself so wd love a feed somehow, but it aint happening
-
Nope, it shows our scouting network is good and we cast our net far in search of good players. We watched Saunders + Smith for a couple years + have a good relationship woth Queens Park, so when we wanted to sign them we negotiated a deal, prob paying buttons yes but doing right by them. We didnt poach them, string the club along for a year and fuck them over!
-
Nope Hutch + page were released from Wallsend + Portsmouth respectively and were signed after impressing at Exit trials! Stevie Saunders + Gary Smith moved from Queens Park but both were paid compo.
-
Severin could be a very useful signing if and only if we sell Reynolds. With regards to Slane,no chance, not now + not ever! 1. He had a chance to make the club who`d spent 7 years developing him money, even if it was just a couple of hundred grand. He strung us along long enough to get his Sellik contract and we received something like £50k 2. He played during the summer to get himself noticed, then was apparently mortally wounded for 6 months miraculously regaining fitness the second he signed for them. For those reasons, the wee prick should never darken our doorstep again! Jon Page,Shaun Hutchinson,Steven Saunders,Jamie Murphy,Bob McHugh,Tom Hateley and the other 19`s boys promoted this year have pledged their futures to Motherwell, they deserve our full efforts to develop them, Slane can rot in the Celtic reserves + go to Lincoln or Yeovil in 2 years time!
-
Aye cause in all his years at Motherwell Fitzy has been known as a regular midfield goalscorer! Fitzy couldnt lace Forbes boots, the boy may be a first division or second division player but an spl regular he is not. Ross Forbes may not be the total athlete but in the 25 or so games he has played for us, he has scored more than all our other midfield players combined in the last 3 seasons, for a club like us,that just cannot be ignored
-
Pollock is a striker/attacking mid, sure its Stevie Lawless whos the left winger
-
Twitter says it ended 1-1 against practically the Killie first team, Jamie Pollock scored for us,Danny Invincible for them
