anyone have any snippets of info regarding the 7 trialists playing against Killie today?
-
there was 1 from Hammell? as well that flashed across, Humph was closest at the back post but it was crying out for a striker to take the initiative, story of our play all nite really
-
never mind Bovril, £1 for a fuckin Mars Bar????? that makes those robbing c***s at Scotrail seem quite reasonable!

first time online after thurs. Some people really need to take the hate blinkers off with regards Humphrey, yes he`s no Ronaldo and his final ball can be erratic but I counted 3 or 4 superb crosses put in by him in the first half, its not his fault we have no-one to bury the chances, we had Murphy + Sutton both going front post or both standing off and balls were flying across the face of goal! He has unreal pace and can cross a few decent balls, if he hit a perfect cross or skinned his man with skill every time he would be playing with a far better club than us!! Thought Forbes + Jennings did well too, Jenno played their dangerman out the game + Forbes scored + barely wasted a ball all game. Murph in my eyes was quite poor, lost the ball, not strong + got bullied esp by their big no5 (who looked pretty decent) and looked lost going into the box. He`s good running at people but he`s never a target man. Was quite impressed with Smith when he came on tho! And Randolph I thought looked great, no real saves but fast off his line, safe hands, great kicking and very commanding + vocal

but Hyypia + Kolkka were u-21`s at the time just like several of the Breidablik guys who are being trailed by German,English,French + other clubs around europe, and as u said our team isnt a patch on the one from the Mypa game. my biggest fear isnt their players but our lack of competetive football, that is gonna be the telling factor over the 2 legs, just hope we can explode out the traps instead of performing like we did against Llanelli. (and that game last year should have us on guard,by all accounts Llanelli arent as good as Breidablik + they beat us last year in the 1st leg!)

Im cumin down from Inverness with the family + just phoned the ticket office, Sounds like the reason the 3 stands were looking full is cause as well as tickets sold, the season ticket seats were held on system 2 so those guys could book their own seat if they want. The woman said theres plenty seats in the Cooper + East but the Main is filling up

Thats what worries me but it is do-able, tho as the cash we have is minimal, id prefer the 2 loanees to be a striker and a winger as we have more chance of loaning a quality premiership youngster like Lukas than signing a quality striker for 50p + a chomp
-
Just imagine how much we could do with the £600k+ weve spent on that shitehole of a park over the last 2 summers + having to play euro games at Airdrie last year. Weve replaced Ruddy, Coke shouldnt be missed too badly with Hateley staying + Jennings,Forbes + Lasley competing in the middle as well. We Must replace O`Brien + Lukas which we should be able to do with the cash + 2 loans Brown has spoken about and a right back or proper left winger would help, so we should be there or there abouts. What people also need to remember, our turnover hasnt risen at all,if anything its shrunk! (it was one of the smallest in the league to start with as well!) Within those limits weve signed McHugh,Hutch,Forbes,Hateley,Murphy,Saunders to long term deals on what would surely be higher money so were not doing too badly.

with a bumper £5 price attatched as well?
-
Charaloumbis, Page, Hateley + Saunders can all play rb tho none are "natural" full backs, the thing is, with our financial limitations can we afford to bring in a "proper" right back + have 2 or 3 of these guys sitting doing nothing every week? all the time being unable to replace Lukas + O`Brien due to that signing?
-
decent young right back just released by Everton, Dan Gosling, wonder if we could use our toffee connections? would be a cracking pick up, although im pretty sure he will end up at a championship team edit : looks like he will end up at a premiership team never mind championship, Newcastle,Sunderland + West Ham after him already, just a little out our league then lol, didnt realize he was quite that highly rated!
-
I completely agree with you mate, Id say that once were up to full strength and playing regularly in our own league then we should and would win through comfortably over two legs. However, the fact remains while we may have replaced Ruddy,we have not replaced O`Brien,Coke + Lukas, arguably our most influential players last season! coupled with us being at the very beginning of our pre season and you guys flying in your league and id be absolutely delighted with a 1 goal win over the 2 legs!
-
so Forbes playing left wing again tonite? hmm, hopefully good showings from Randolph,Gazapo + Shuker
-
any news on the African right back Simeon Masaba? is he still on trial or away now? Hoping for a good show from Gazapa in this weeks friendlies. When is the signing deadline for next weeks euro game again?
-
have seen Shuker play a couple times before, decent but tiny winger (5`4-5`6) and also right sided, strange one considering we already have Humphrey there, Id have thought we`d be looking for a left sided winger.
-
Id be delighted with that, Clarkson couldnt lace Stokes`s boots! that wld be 10 goals less for them easily.
-
yeah but they can afford to sit and wait for the right deal, they have £40m+ per year coming in from the premiership and £20-£30m in parachuts payments when they dropped, so a year or two without a sponsor wont hurt them financially, im sure if they had wanted a sponsor and were only looking for £50k pa theyd have had a queue of companies a mile long. We have a pitiful turnover of less than £3.8m pa (one of the lowest in the league) and are haemorraging cash due to a shite hole stadium/dodgy ground staff. We need ANY cash going in this climate so Its worrying that we cant sort something out,no matter how small + insignificant it may be!
-
i doubt the club has anything lined up or it`d be announced already, why wait so long? when do the new kits go on sale?, thatll be another reason were running around with the poor cap looking for 50p for Reynolds! Worrying that a team in scotlands national league with tv games during the season cant get a shirt sponsor
-
its simple,Forbes is not a left winger. with his shooting + passing he`d be dynamite in the holw btwn mid + att. He`s a victim of us playing a system where his best attributes are hampered, thats all
-
Reynolds is worth around £1.5m - £2m in a normal market,in this climate it`d prob drop to £1m - £1.3m,last year of his contract? Id say £500k and a sell on clause is all we`ll get. What really worries me is how that Brown interview just smacked of desparation and coupled with the fact were skint and we have no shirt sponsor, any club who saw it will bend us over + shaft us properly. Therefore Rangers (or anyone) for £100k is not entirely unrealistic!
-
the simple fact is we aint getting another euro tie after Breidabik unless we sign 2 or 3 quality players. is that gonna happen? we got 10 days or so to find out
-
These 2 may be involved in the first team but I doubt being 17 / Recently 18 is too old for the u-19s squad
-
with the right developer you could get HUNDREDS of flats/apartments at Fir Park. Barrat had a planning ap for 300 flats at the old bus depot in Motherwell, although it was turned down as the planners felt it was too concentrated that was on a site of only 2 or 3 acres. Arsenal built the Highbury Square development at their old ground, a 2 acre garden where the pitch used to be then 4 blocks of apartments where the stands were and managed 711 Units on a space on a par or maybe slightly bigger than ours. With the prices for similar areas of land in the local area and the potential capacity for flats in the Fir Park footprint you`d be looking at around the £5m - £7m mark, prob closer to the £5m mark due to the current climate. But in this climate, who`d want to buy it?

thats what ive heard from my Caley supporting mates!, apparently its all over their messageboard as well
