  1. huge goal there, yaaaaaaassss!! Mon the Well, well done Saunders
  2. Listening to a game with Fraser in goal ISNT good for the health! Mon the Well!!!
  3. Smith + Fitzy are ooc this summer arent they? Fuckin criminal if we waste valuable cash giving them new contracts
  4. Liam Bridcutt from Chelski was a trialist in that bounce game yesterday. In Chelseas own words a "tough tackling holding midfielder who can play full back" .... Sound like anyone we know? depending on which side of the fence you sit either it shows were preparing for life after Hateley, or were looking at our options incase he doesnt sign. wonder which one it is?
  5. Plus, My idea was the likes of a Club Museum,Restaurant,Sports Bar,Dividable Function Suite, all of which generate cash 7 days, not just match days. Office Blocks,Hotels etc are serious expenses and wouldnt really prove cost effective without a serious amount of effort + no little luck. Keep it simple, facilities the fans can use on match days and can re-visit during the week if they wish
  6. on a smaller budget THIS is what id like Fortuna Stadion With a little more cash, THIS would be lovely I reckon Boras Arena
  7. nah, better fun stringing it out. plus on page 2 I was still foaming at the mouth at the thought of his "Goalkeeping"
  8. Nah, I was merely pointing out the flaws in his logic as I see it. Unfortunately I said from the start, having seen Fraser a few times before he signed for us, that he was dodgy. An opinion backed by many guys who watched him every week. Doesnt give me any extra pleasure saying that,at the end of the day im a motherwell fan and hate watching my team lose (youd think id be used to it after 20odd years of going to games ) but the simple fact is the guy is not good enough and will harm my teams chances of future success,be that euro places, cup runs, top 6 or beating relegation so I feel justified in giving my opinion on here. If I make it to another game before the seasons end I wont give him pelters in the ground as thats not gonna do anyone any favours but its not gonna stop me giving my opinion on a debate on an internet messageboard. You are right tho, we are just going in circles now and its boring. Some dont rate him, others wana give him a chance. Thats fine (but lets all at least support the team when were at matches) so lets just put this to bed and get on with it
  9. Scott McDonald was an unknown young striker,NOT a player who had regular 1st team + spl football when he came to us. Chris Porter was slated by Oldham fans for the way he worked his move NOT his ability, they said he was good + had the ability to be a cracking signing. Fraser was dropped for being dodgy and having a nightmare against Rangers,he could have been reinstated when things went tits up,but wasnt due to signing the pre contract but first + foremost he was dropped for being shit!
  10. I said a modified version of that, what exactly is so wrong with it like? What is your opinion of the kinda ground we should have? And as for the numbers, look at any stadium website or info site and itll tell you how much the different types of grounds cost, 4 individual stands are cheaper than multi tier or bowl stadiums, its a simple fact! As for Chucking figures around and not knowing what im talking about? I may not be an employee of Barr Stadium design but the internet is a goldmine of info, im not gonna spend time doing a fuck off search but here are a couple of examples to back up my point of view ReidSteel - show stadium designs etc + they reckon corner seats are 2 or 3 times as expensive, other stuff about costs there as well. Cost Model - shows how different designs contribute to costs
  11. but St Middens, like all these "toytown" "legoland" "soulless boxes" "pop up" "shoe box" etc stadiums are easily extended if need be, want 2000 new seats? fill in corners? couple thousand more? add a top deck, all done simply and cost effectively. What is this pathological hatred of traditional 4 stand stadiums? and apparent need for expensive works of art instead? As I have said earlier, corner seating sections are the least used in new grounds + cost 33% more than straight sections. Extra tiers cost £1m+ more than a single tier stand. Why would many people on here would scoff at the 4 stand type stadium which would cost maybe £8m - £10m in favour of a bowl or 2 tier design that would cost £12m - £15m min? Crazy, personally id rather sit in a so called "Soulless Legoland Toytown ground" watching a decent team than sitting in some wonder ground with a team fit for the 2nd division cause the stadium cost millions more just to keep some people happy
  12. didnt say they went bust cause they were cheap, just saying i was sure they have gone bust since building the stadium. According to the blackpol fans tho it was a job done on the cheap tho which was what i was getting at
  13. Have heard that from Blackpool fans, they did the same as us and used a cheap company (think they went bust since) to build the first phase of that stand, they used cheap steel and the stand looks like shit and is rusted to fuck now, its less than 5 years old as well
  14. anything built by Barr etc would be guaranteed for 20-25 years at least, therefor if things started falling apart after 10-15 years, They would be liable to fix,not the club
  15. not really, then you miss out on big matches, it wouldnt cost very much more building stands a bit bigger and it costs nothing to close one for some games where the crowd could be low. Plus 10k-12k could bring in cup semis/u-21 games etc which in turn bring in more money
  16. Not like St Mirren, Look at the link, thats a FAR superior stadium then St Midden Stadium And as for the other point? South Stand - Poorly built, huge stand blocking sunlight onto pitch creating big problems, went for cheap option by designing in house (using Bill Dickie) East Stand - Cheap option, put seats on an old terrace. Now roof is falling apart, pish floods the walkway cause toilets are crap, generally a midden. Also poor sightlines Plus we have extensive, expensive + regular fireproofing to be done in the South,Cooper + Main Stands. If we used good quality instead of cheap quality in construction of the South + Cooper stands, the steel wouldnt be rusting to fuck+ this would not need to be done,or at very worst, done far less regularly,
  17. Ibrox + Hampden have facilities to generate cash for their respective clubs/owners. Plus are among the best stadiums in europe. Peoples problem from Fir Park aint the seats but the amount of money it costs the club to maintain every year due to it being poorly + cheaply built and the problems with the pitch. Fir Park costs Motherwell on average almost 10% of our ANNUAL TURNOVER to maintain, when your turnover is stuck around and below £4m pa that is shocking!! And its killing the club. What do I want from a stadium? 4 single terrace stands of 18-20 rows giving a capacity around the 10k-12k mark steep pitch on stands and close to playing surface A large, dividable hospitality lounge, some boxes,a sports bar + restaurant to generate cash 4th Generation Pitch that can be used by public + youth teams, generating cash car parks (also generate turnover for club) maybe like St Midden + Falkirk,a couple 5-a-side pitches on site (turnover) corner seats are 1/3 more expensive than straight runs so a bowl stadium is out Double tier stands dilute accoustics + cost £1m+ more than a single terrace exterior cantilevers (falkirk/murrayfield/tattiebowl) are more expensive + get seriously expensive to maintain as time goes on so plain flat, internal cantilever roof will do, so my plan above would work a treat (basically Weston Homes Stadium with some little tweaks) plus sell naming rights for the 4 stands + the ground as a whole and whore the life out of the hospitality facilities (a Premier Club, Business Club for corporate packages and maybe something like a Club91 for game by game for normal fans looking for a special occasion, plus push weddings/meetings/conferences/boxing nights and the like)
  18. Ok then, lets stay in a delapidated fossil of a stadium where we have little to no facilities to generate extra cash and are haemorraging money from our tiny turnover every year just to scrape the stadium up to the level of a basic safety certificate. That way we can maybe get down to 2000 supporters when people get fed up paying through the nose to sit in a wet, decaying shitehole. But its ok,we have an emotional attatchment here so its all good! Some people on here live in cloud cukoo land
  19. Coke wasnt dreaming,he was pushed into Dods who blocked him + caused him to trip, nothing to do with bad marking, Fraser caused the corner, then failed to stop the shot which was almost straight at him and he got a full, strong hand on it! 3rd was humphreys mistake to let conway in but the shot was at Fraser and he managed to let it go straight through his arms So really Fraser was really to blame for all 3 goals and his overall performance was awful
  20. yip, but a combo of terrible form, shocking defending, away trips to old firm still to come and Mike Fucking Fraser means were really struggling to nail that place Next week is the biggest game of our season (and how good is our record in those games? )
  21. 1st sensible thing burley has said, How in the fuck is Gomis not sent off?
  22. Debatable yellow for Gomis apparently! Craig Burley, you are the Michael Fraser of the Commentry world
  23. Cum on, lets steal a point from these chunts
  24. Aye, Fraser must be trying cause im not sure its possible for someone to be so shite naturally. Tho maybe I was a bit personal there and for that Ill apologize! Michael Fraser is a fucking horrific excuse for a goalkeeper...... But im sure he`s a nice boy!
