  1. Absolutely, however you would expect Rangers are more likely to punish us than Dundee whilst still in early stages learning the new approach. Fingers crossed we fill that gap in the middle on Saturday
  2. I liked that he pulls guys aside during the game quite a lot to give them info as well when time allows
  3. In the first half Dundee managed to play quickly right through the middle of us with ease playing through the gaps of the high press midfield, that was also a concern.
  4. The zipped ball at knee height from the goalie to miller was impressive, the goalie is decent with his distribution
  5. I don't mind managers having an ethos and a style of play, but they need to have a plan B, C, D and good in game management, will be interesting to see if he has that in his locker. I also thought SOD looked a bit nervy in the interview, think its just be as big a culture shock for the players as it will be for the new management team, hope they all find their feet together soon, don't think it will be a quick transition so expecting a tough run until the end of the season.
  6. I think Paton's energy will be enough to get him a start this week, I reckon he will show up quite well in training, also think Davor in with a shout if looking to play a pressing game
  7. The club and whoever is in the inner circles have played a blinder keeping everyone guessing......can u imagine the meltdown if the big reveal doesn't take place before lunchtime tomorrow.....it's been fun if nothing else to detract from the current shambles on the pitch

  9. Disappointing if Sparrow has an injury?....a lot of talk about midfield and need options in January....that is true but we have a full midfield on the injury table...Callaghan, Slattery, Paton, Nicholson.....not saying they are the answer but we have done remarkably well with the midfield 3 and Sparrow's sub appearances as far as league position goes. Hopefully second half of season see's is with a lot more options in midfield to change things up a bit, particularly with Nicholson and Paton being a bit more creative and attack minded letting Miller sit a bit deeper again....
  10. The new African forward, Kettlewell referred to him as TJ during an interview after the match
  11. I think this is our best starting 11 given our fit squad Ox McGinn Gordon O'Donnel Seddon Zdravkovksi Miller Sparrow Watt TJ Moses
  12. @Dee regarding the new plan the society board are working on, is it a pick one or the other type scenario or is it shaped that both EB (or another investor/partner) and society plans can co-exist bringing in 2 sets of additional/improved revenue or flexibility so both plans can be reviewed and merged into one with the 2 parties having roles and commitments to play in delivering one new merged plan?
  13. He does come across pretty decent and hopefully a solution can be found where the WS can carry forward their funding proposals alongside Erik investing and working on new revenue streams, projects and amending his original proposal to be one that is good enough to unite everyone instead of spilt opinion.... That would be the ideal outcome
  14. That's the problem, they voted personally on the club board instead of discussing with their ws board counterparts before voting..... I would expect WS club board members are representing the WS board and it's members, not there to vote with their personal viewpoint on such important matters......that is fundamentally wrong and needs to change going forward for any new WS club board representatives....a lot of this situation could have been avoided if this policy was in place
  15. Regarding Well Society representatives on the club board....what is their remit and obligation regarding voting on matters such as this? Surely they should at least go back to the WS board, discuss the information at hand, provide details of the club board discussions then go back with a vote that represents the wider WS board position? It looks like they have made a vote based on personal opinion which hasn't represented the wider WS board's views? It may not be workable to do that for every vote but for important ones then that should surely be the case? It is madness we are in a position where the WS board have come out with a statement totally different to what the representatives on the club board voted for. Lessons learned regarding guidelines and process the WS representatives on the club board need to follow when being voted onto the club board as WS representatives given there will need to be new ones voted in to replace the resigned ones shortly. It was embarrassing to have the WS board issue a statement that contradicts what their club board representatives voted for.
  16. A positive I have seen today is that Barmack is definitely not hung up on the shareholding %'s....he seems up for reshaping the deal so WS remains at minimum 51% ..... That seems to be a big box ticker...... Another positive is that the WS board are spending time to put together a proposal and plan to increase funds coming into the WS and in turn benefit the club..... Surely the third positive would be that we find a way both proposals/parties work together as both proposals are working on bringing additional funds into the club with the aim of ensuring we remain competitive so surely both can co-exist and doesn't need to be one or the other? That for me would be the big win and best way forward
  17. Regarding fee's I am sure I seen online that we were offering no up front fee's for some targets but instead payments going forward based on appearance criteria etc so when we see a fee it doesn't mean an up front payment, could be a few via other methods/criteria on an ongoing basis
  18. Charlton also rumoured to be interested....let the bid war commence
  19. Last pre season was a huge learning curve for what transfer targets he can realistically aim and plan for....I am sure he is lucky if he got any of his first or second choice targets last season and was basically scrambling at the end to see who would actually come here hence we end up with last minute signings like Shaw. I expect this pre season SK will be much better prepared and will have been planning accordingly for the last few months and had the chance to sound out potential targets that he wouldn't have been able to do last season. This pre season we can find out how good he really is...or how bad... A huge pre season ahead but SK more than deserves to be here to do it and fingers crossed it works out as every signing at our level is a gamble. For me there is not much to dislike about SK's performance in his first full season other than the poor run and poor goals against, he sorts out the defence and replaces Spittal and potentially Bair well then he is the right person to take us into next season and top 6 certainly achievable. He has never lost the dressing room and we still play decent attacking football given the number of goals we have scored. Off the pitch seeing what happens with investors is going to only be a bonus if extra money and public exposure comes to the club..... interesting times ahead but should all be positive just now anyway.
  20. That is an interesting and surprising stat.... amazing that Biereth leaving and Obika being out all season has had such a positive impact and we have a very high sellable asset on our hands now.... hopefully continues progress next season ideally with us... Regarding next season worrying Halliday is signed on, a reasonable signing on paper but looks a few yards off Premiership pace, a drop down to Championship would suit him better I think.
  21. Regarding figures what would be deemed sufficient to even offer 49% of club to potential buyers given the ground Fir Park is on must have decent value, the player assets also have decent value and the business as a whole has some value...?
  22. Nicholson could possibly fill Spital's role next season, with a good pre season he looks like he could be decent, Tierney also really young and loan move and hopefully some game time has benefited him so might also be a contender to fill the gap
  23. Is Spittal not out of contract at end of season so if he leaves we get zero benefit other than his wages to spend (gamble) on someone else?
  24. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/moses-ebiye-set-motherwell-transfer-32278625 Interesting, long term replacement for Obika?
