  1. seeing tv pics would be great, damn sure it was feature game that night on BBC.
  2. You not see North Tonight ......... all roads south were shut most of the day. Ice then heavy snow falls then -10 = staying at home if you ask me. Have been up/down that A9 often enough to know that it spring a few surprises when the weather is fine ..... let alone horrendous. Your call mate, but I'm sure your mother would say "be safe"
  3. they're expecting -10 in Aviemore overnight, and on top of all that snow. Guess that's any hope of heading south early on Sat morning scuppered.
  4. I remember walking along Manse Road and seeing bus after bus after bus go up Airbles Road. If the crowd that day was the 27,000 officialy recorded then St Mirren must have brought 12,000. However, I'll be a monkey's uncle if there were only 27,000 inside Fir Park that day. My father was at the Rangers cup tie of 51/52 and at the St Mirren game and he reckoned more was at the latter. Given the Main Stand was bigger and the terraces had been concreted I'd take his word for it ............ so we're talking around 37,000. I was in the shed close to the fence and I've never been so packed in in my life. My feet left the ground time after time as we swayed too and fro. When both goals went in it was utter bedlam. Best bit tho was .................. FERGIE, FERGIE, SHUT YER MOUTH
  5. would you have risked it in that ? Seems the Fife guys stayed put too. Shame so many people missed the opportunity to be part of this tonight.
  6. Hi Mr Hayton jnr ................. my IE no likey Real Player for some reason. Never has.
  7. any mention of the crowd, particularly at our end ?
  8. won't even start for me !!!!!
  9. not sure but I got 5-1 for him scoring at anytime
  10. My ticket is stuck in Edinburgh Absolutely no issues with Welldaft MkII not wishing to risk travel in these weather conditions. Well fan in Aberdeen called to offer 1 back of half-5 but I was home by then and couldn't make the train in time. Drive down A96 in this weather is ill-advised, even in a Shogun, so it's the net for me tonight.
  11. what odds for abandoned before full-time ?
  12. On my soap-box ............................. IMHO decision to play with absolutely no consideration given to the safety of fans of either club who have to travel to game tonight. and home afterwards. Met Office issue Severe Weather Warning & Grampian Police say don't go out on the roads in North East tonight yet the SFA, (in their wisdom), sanction the playing of a Cup-Tie amidst some of the worst weather conditions witnessed/expected in years Just watched a Grampian report from Harlaw Park ........... it's snowing and the ball rolls to a stop covered in snow FFS. Sheer effin madness IMHO
  13. and that dramatic change is being forecast by every weather agency and tv channel !
  14. forecast is overnight snow followed by freezing temperatures and a wind chill factor of -3 followed by more snow on Monday afternoon/evening. IMHO game won't be played tomorrow.
  15. 16 miles away, but several hundred feet higher and no salt air to protect against frost and on a plain frequently visited by heavy snow.
  16. Ditto .......... Dancer was a fantastic player for us. A damn fine left winger in one of the best teams to win sod-all IMHO.
  17. no, but we certainly didn't appreciate the criticism coming from other quarters. I see Locos managed a home HL game today.
  18. An unfortunate quote. It's far more civilised/cultured than Motherwell IMHO, and I know where I'd rather live........ and it's not on the east bank of the M74. Personally I don't believe Locos warrant any stick/abuse from us southern softeez, and are perfectly entitled to hold the game at Harlaw Park no matter how long it takes to come to fruition. As for the few Dossers who are pointing the finger, I can undestand their frustration, but this situation is not of Locos making. People in glass houses mind
  19. snow on Sunday with freezing temp overnight and possibly more snow on Monday ...... Skiball anyone ?
  20. It was also aimed at opposing fans...........we would generally pick on someone thru the fence and give it to them stinkin in the hope that they would over-react and get arrested. It usually worked, especially with the St Johnstone dwarf ........ Stanley
  21. and with no sign of tropical sunshine on the horizon I also reckon we can kiss goodbye to a game on Monday night ...... and Wednesday.
  22. Yeah, we can't say no to that kind of money. Best of luck to you Chris Porter and mega thanks for the near heart-attack celebrating your cup-tie equaliser at Swynecastle last Jan For that goal alone
