  1. Given the projected weather forecast for Sunday and into next week, I doubt we'll get the tie played next week. Have to remember also that while day-time temps may rise to the tropical heights of Inverness's 9degs, by 20:00hrs it's f-f-f-f-f-f-f freezin again. Afternoon kick-off a possibility ? If no go next Mon or Wed, does that mean a reschedule to the Sat 7th Feb ?
  2. Fickle .............. Bottom-6
  3. From a previous thread .......... My design, but Malf's artwork. 3 sided arena with 2 tier'd stands, seating 10,000 - 11,000. On the 4th side is a complex encorporating Club offices/suites, Club Officials'/guests/dignatories/VP's seating (250ish), supporters facilities, (bars/restaurants/shop), corporate boxes/suites, media suite, leisure/hotel/retail outlets. No retractable roof tho, sorry
  4. Yes it's frustrating, (I've been able to attend the 1st 3 scheduled dates but alas Wednesday looks a tad difficult), but lets not kid ourselves here or point any fingers at Locos .... who I believe have done the right thing all along. Finger of blame can only be pointed at the good old Scottish weather
  5. A more thick and illiterate eejit you'd be hard pushed to find in the game than the Granton Gadgie
  6. It's gonna need decent temp to thaw the grass out enough to host the tie, and I fear a max of 4degs aint enough. When we take into account the drop in temp when the sun sets, a midweek 2pm kick-off may be a possible solution. Besides why should Locos worry about such a kick-off time, they already have the sales from 2,500 tickets in their bank account ?
  7. OK, I'm a fair few miles north west of Inverurie, and on the coast to boot, but it's still frosty here too. Certainly not confident game will go ahead on Monday.
  8. but it wasn't, and we're unbeaten in 5 now after an absolutely hellish run ............ so lets look for positives folks.
  9. it's another point more than ICTFC 4 points from Are Shite away and Falkirk at home ............ I'd have snatched yer hand off for that 4 weeks ago.
  10. c'mon c'mon c'mon ................... 3 pts keeps the momentum going nicely and closer to a european spot
  11. has this happened anywhere else ? and what are the implications of Euro games when (I believe) 1-11 is required to start game ?
  12. when we gonna get a fair Ref let alone one on our side FFS
  13. could end up getting played on Sat the 7th Feb then ?
  14. £5,500 a week wages ........ what fekkin idiot sanctioned that ?
  15. Echo those thoughts. Great MFC team then, sadly no silverware though. Only down side ......... me with long hair then
  16. Indeed it turned out to be a lovely day yesterday north of the Dee, but the sun can't get high enough to thaw out the grass at the ssouth end of Harlaw Park enough to host a Scottish Cup Tie ........ sorry.
  17. covered goalmouth .................. and just look at the frost cover
  18. Agree .................. Locos aint to blame for this, and hindsight is a wonderful thing...had the game gone ahead on the original date we'd still be trying to dry out our jeans I was in the town today and cup fever has gripped them big-time. Let them have their day, they deserve it.
  19. Right folks, just to confirm ............ I travelled down to Inverurie this morning and the temp didn't get above -2, until early afternoon in Bridge of Don. When I took this video (at 11am), there was no cover on the pitch other than over the south end goalmouth, (that's not to say that it had not been covered overnight), however would it really have protected it from such cold temperatures ? Jack Frost visits Harlaw Park ....... Tuesday 20th Jan 2009 I sent txts to Gaag, BK, EoSMSC & Flow .......... (perhaps that's what brought the inspection forward).
  20. Oh the town is still buzzing alright. Aint a shop window without a red/black Locos display. Then there's Mitchell's Coo
  21. Correction: Grampian weather forecast clear skies tomorrow with a max temp of 4-degrees, however heavy snow showers moving north east on the Wednesday. I'm due in Inverurie late tomorrow morning and will txt Gaag to detail an update for you all.
