what they didn't say was that MFC built their new main stand with the proceeds of the unpopular sale of St John and Pat Quinn ........... that is why to this day the FP Main Stand has remained a sparsely populated area of the ground.

always looked for a nice wee away tie on the 3rd round, (now the 4th), but beyond that it's generally favourable to get a home tie. Pretty dull draw I have to admit. Who they gonna pick for their live game ???

But it's the long term future of MFC at stake MJ, and that don't look too rosey at a crumbling Ark. The state of Motherwell towncentre and lack of inward investment has been an issue for decades as politicians squandered £'s on jollies all over the place and paying folk for 25hr days................... yet they continue to get re-elected, so blame the electorate not the football club.

Quinn91, you should be commended for describing many discussed issues as progress, even those where you have offered compromise. can only be good for all parties concerned, and now that contacts have been made and opinions swapped hopefully trust and respect will be earned and Motherwell fans will be able to "enjoy" the Fir Park experience again. game was eventually played at Tannadice as a last resort, think Brechin won the toss to land a home tie after 2 draws but it had been postponed 3 times at Glebe or something like that.

sheet sheet sheet .......... I thought BK was at the wynd up when he txt me the news this morning, almost drove into the Spey FFS. The frost up north has been deep these last few weeks but I had got my hopes up the game would be on with the recent thaw. My cynical side asked why an am inspection ? watch out for this being a repeat of the Brechin fiasco of the mid 80's.

Och MJ, I love you dearly (and we do go back a hell of long way), but it's time you changed the record please. The politicians may have craved the New Town status to ensure euro funding, but Ravenscraig lay within the old Burgh of Motherwell & Wishaw and always will be considered Motherwell IMHO.

I'm talking about experiences from over 20 years working, (8 living), in Edinburgh, going on football trips with colleagues, day to day life in the capital, nights out on the town, pub crawls in Leith, the South side, the west end, following Motherwell to Swynecastle, etc.., Jambos have an attitude and self inflated aloofness akin to the We Are The People merchants and equally sectarian on many counts. You have obviously experienced different, but I am merely relaying my experiences from life in the capital 1982 - 2003.

as I said a few weeks ago, I can see this game being moved to Pittodrie ............. to get it played.
