  1. Ditto .............. had to be well over 30,000. Was up at the fence and I've never been in such a packed terrace. The sways were amazing
  2. Viewed from the Enclosure that day, as it wasn't safe for C&A clad teenagers in the ground when these fukkers took over the place.
  3. Well put Yoshi. Here's to you Auld Yin
  4. Exactly ............. and my justification for my posts in the 'other' thread.
  5. 2031 ? I'll have had my one way trip to Daldowie by then
  6. No worries mate, I haven't. It is interesting to see how a debate evolves tho ....... as it grows arms and legs. I said I'd swap those 3 recent Euro variables for a National Cup win, not embrace St Mirren's recent League record. I do wonder tho, if St Mirren fans are saying, "see Motherwell, a good 6 years, but they've won fuck all. we've got silverware". Something fans of Kilmarnock, Hearts, Dundee Utd can also say.
  7. You absolutely would had it been Motherwell, and you'd still be buzzin today - 2 days after the Final. At 51 I've never thought more rationally about things than I do nowadays. A 9yr old will have a totally different take on events leading up to 18th May 1991 and thereafter to that of a 29yr old. That perhaps explains our contrasting stance on this, but its sod all to do with being irrational or otherwise.
  8. Like the Seasider, I've ridden the rollercoaster since the 60's, and as far as League status is concerned recent times have been quite remarkable. However, the main reason for that is the competition is a lot poorer than in the last quarter of the 20th C. The fans march in Nancy was something else, seeing my one and only euro goal in Odense was almost orgasmic, and witnessing my team in the CL was beyond my wildest imagination ------ but, without any hesitation, I'd swap all that for a National Cup win at Hampden
  9. I think the votes so far show that our hardcore support are pretty much there for the duration, regardless of what utter shambles the earless SPL/SFL create. I'd imagine this will be the case at most clubs. The trouble is that our hardcore is not overly sizeable, nor is it elsewhere really, and I do not see anything from the reconstruction proposals that will encourage floating fans to attend more regularly or attract new fans to the game. I couldn't give a monkeys about the SPL/SFL anymore, or any other Club for that matter. I used to attend games as a neutral, was a real football fan - but I'm lost to the game now. If the administrators don't care about fans' opinions then fuck them. Motherwell is my team, always has been, and always will be regardless of the League structures.
