  1. A quick summary for you from a Dingwall source .................. pyrotechnics were set off in a Dingwall hotel, which was also vandalised. Intelligence from cops in the town was relayed to Match Commander, who along with MFC Security Officer, identified a number of "high risk" individuals who were then prohibited from entering the stadium. Seems there are 2 sides to every story.
  2. I was in The Mallard, and never saw any of what Shooie describes. Some singing from a dozen or so guys apart it was a rather quiet place to be pre-match.
  3. The major "embarrassment" on Saturday was the utter shyte served up by those in Motherwell strips. In the space of 2 days we've experienced 2 time served mechanisms to disenfranchise fans ------ a gutless lack of commitment on the pitch and a Club statement akin to what we've seen today. 2 substantial OG's just ahead of Well Society renewal time.
  4. Agree with that. When I got to the ticket portacabin several lads were being obstructed by Jobsworths, asking how much they'd had to drink and that pre-match drinking was not allowed. I shouted over that he better go and shutdown the Mallard then and throw everyone out who has been enjoying County's pre-match corporate hospitality. Suppose being 6'7" has its advantages - I got no reply. Intervene where stadium legislation is being breached, by all means, but indiscriminate targetting of football fans is bang out of order - I do hope you make a statement on that MFC. The behaviour of Stewards and cops was chalk and cheese compared to the opening day of the season, and as a result I doubt I'll be back at Victoria Park. Celtic visit in a couple of weeks, and I bet Saturday's brave Stewards wont be nearly as brave :wank:
  5. Good shout Buxe. Despite being in my 50's I'm in the "smoke pellets don't bother me" camp. Its not as if these lads are smashing up seats, mugging pensioners or fighting with rival fans. Their support of the team was the only positive to take from Sarurday's game. Vocal backing very few in C&A deserved.
  6. They were smoke pellets - you know the kinda thing an engineer woud use to test air flow, and the Stewards were imposing their "attention" long before the air was clouded.
  7. Its reasoned debate mate, and you are perfectly entitled to your opinion - and you make a wonderful Temperor in my eyes. All my comments post 8pm last night are based on me spending close to £100 to watch the 2nd top team in the SPL.
  8. I think my comments are fare, and based on what I see. I post credit, where credit's due, (as you quoted), and will be scathing when they deserve it. Fuck nows how/why the team can go from A+ to Z- in the space of a week but they managed it and there's no way I'll be wrapping my comments up in cotton wool for anyone's sake. My outlook has got sod all to do with our League placing, (for that they get my praise), its about yesterday's performance and where we'll end up if we can't do better........... given how little pts difference there is between 2nd and 9th.
  9. I can only comment on what I see Iain, and believe I have every right to do so whither I go every week or not. The result was inconsequential. It was 3-0 but could so easily have been 6-0. I saw players in C & A with little desire for the game. We barely won a 50-50 challenge, and when we had the ball we either didn't know what to do with it or got rid of it as quick as pssible. I have the utmost respect for those that continue to follow Motherwell, beit week-in week-out or whatever. However, there is no dressing up of yesterday's performance, and should this continue then Top-6 is a pipedream.
  10. And in terms of commitment and tactical accumen it's between us and no-one else for Relegation. thankfully we are capable of the odd decent performance/run else we'd be Hamilton bound next season.
  11. Several smoke pellets were activated during the game, but I didn't see any being thrown at or in the direction of Stewards. However, to use the Bradford fire as a metaphor is like comparing Deep Impact to Michael Bentine's Potty Time. In general Stewards/Cops have it very easy at football matches, however for some reason the Hi-Vizers at Dingwall chose to make life difficult for themselves and us. Were they trying to justify their positions. No matter the reason I witnessed unjustified targetting and victimisation of young lads who merely wished to attend a football match. All the chest-beating, posturing and incidents were caused by over-zealous stewarding, and I do hope as many folks as possible lodge complaints. Heavy Hands Empty Stands
  12. On that showing today, we'll be lucky to finish 9th !!!!
  13. Agree, prevented it from being 5 or 6 nil.
  14. Don't know what game you were at today. The performance from many of County's stewards was appalling. Confrontational, aggressive and cheeky is how I would describe the aresholes in hi-viz jackets. refusing entry to anyone they chose to victimise, alcohol fuelled or not. They almost caused a riot when manhandling a young lad who was getting Faddy's autograph down at the wall. Confiscating unoffensive flags and in general acting like over-zealous prix. Would love to see them try those tactics when the Beggarz visit.
  15. Spineless and devoid of desire today ....................... utter pissh in fact. Absolute waste of a day.
  16. ha-ha, was one of then long-haired scarfeez in the Shed surrounded by 20,000 nasty Buns
  17. Just read your full post. You can get the 19:12 from Dingwall to Aberdeen, without changing at Inverness.
  18. I cant believe Scotrail haven't changed their timetable to accommodate football fans heading back to Inverness for last trains
  19. My preferred train is out of Inverness at 18:15, (although not my last one). I coulld wait for the 19:15 out of Dingwall but the 8mins connect time at Inv is kinda tight so am contemplating getting a taxi from the Mallard back of 5(ish). Intend to book an Inverness taxi tomorrow. You are welcome to join us, (my nephew and I).
  20. For those heading up by train, and struggling to get back to Sneckie for their train back south - might be worthwhile pooling together for taxis back to Inverness.
  21. Great result, (just watched it on Alba), great 3 pts, and a damn fine performance - Well done Stu and the boys
  22. Local radio reports low morale at ICTFC. Butcher is slating locals for not turning out, barely 2.500 on Wednesday, saying the city does not deserve a high flying team. So the stage is set ......................
  23. Aye, that report is missleading. Traffic volumes are down with the school hols, but plenty folks from the Black Isle and beyond reporting grim delays. Heading north, the last stretch of the A9 before the bridge is bad enough on a normal Saturday. With traffic from the south side of town merging with A9 northbound and A96 traffic then that from the north of town all contesting for 1 lane over the bridge.
