  1. It was in the letter with your Membership Card Jay. "Name, address, and details of any experience or qualifications relevant to the position"
  2. Hope you went to see lapdancers mate, better use of your hard-earned
  3. Didn't deserve to lose at Tynecastle today, and I cannot ever remember saying that before. Perhaps a marker of where we are, and what we've come to expect these days. We're not utilising Higgy properly, and until we correct that, goals - and indeed wins - will be very hard to come by.
  4. Jeez, no grass grows on you mate the 1st quote was to do with WS Membership, while the 2nd quote was to do with a place on the WS Board.
  5. Naw, I'm way too far away mate, wouldn't have been able to do any role on the WSB real justice. I would have loved to have been involved but a 9-10hr round trip to FP would seriously inhibit my ability to service the demands an elected position would command. Nominees have to be in it for what they can do for the WS not what the WS can do for them, and I do hope the remaining 21 share that value.
  6. The "weeding out" has started
  7. Yep, that one for me too. Will never forget the drive back to Edinburgh that night, felt utterly sick.
  8. A request for volunteers to put their names forward for positions on the WS Board was included in the letter accompanying the Membership Cards.
  9. The Taylor Report detailed certain specifications regarding seat structures, pitch, leg room etc.. Apparently Rugby Park was one of the 1st post Taylor stadia redevelopments, (built to the minimum specs), which were subsequently modified as a result of the cramped environment created in darkest Ayrshire.
  10. Not a twitter fan, sorry.
  11. Something has to be done about the cost of getting into a football match in Scotland, but not this
  12. From those that bought new issue ............... any constructive feedback on specific articles. What you liked/didn't like and why ???
  13. I think we all appreciate that Fir Park, well 2 sides of it anyway, is dated and costing the Club a fortune in annual maintenance. While we all love the old Shed, it is simply no longer fit for purpose. The roof and its supports are decaying, access/exits are far from ideal while toilet and kiosk facilities are a nightmare. In addition, I have heard that the POD is less than a decade away from being condemned. I hope we all appreciate that we cannot afford to do much about this situation....................... the Club simply does not have the funds to redevelop or relocate. Any works beit at Fir Park, or elsewhere, would require substantial financial input from a partner or partner agencies. Are there any out there ? In this economic climate I'm not sure that they are. If I had a spare £5M, and some influence with the Council Planners & Education authority I would .................... 1. Remove the roof and pillars from the East Stand, and install seats where each pillar was. 2. Extend the rear concourse back about 10 metres into Knowetop Primary playground. This area to contain toilet/kiosk/bar/cafe/ facilities. Stairs to a level below to new turnstyle & exit gates. 3. Build a 2nd tier to accommodate 500/600 seats, with corporate hospitality/restaurant/meeting room facilities at rear and put a new roof over the structure. 4. Shut the POD to all but the Directors' Box and Players' facilities, with ST holders being relocated to the new 2nd tier of the East Stand. Simples
  14. To everyone who has something football related to say, type it up and send it in. One thing about the Ed, he puts all contributions to print, and unedited too. There's absolutely no rules. Just go for it. It's by Us, for Us ----- and I'd hate to see it die. Change is inevitable, not always good but inevitable. Here's hoping we can control/embrace whatever change is required to ensure the continuation of OSB in whatever format it morphs into.
  15. No worries mate, imagine it aint no cakewalk being a 'zine Ed.
  16. Got my Mr Big Pie envelope today, but why don't I get my name in P2 anymore ????
  17. It's the future mate. Would facilitate colour, if you wanted it .............. and what about Kindle ? This would enable subscriptions. Not sure if there are any others, but imagine the prestige of being the 1st Kindle Fanzine. What would you do with your Mr Big Pie envelope template tho ?

If Officials from our Club wish to congratulate/pat the backs of other Clubs then I suggest they have ample opportunity to do so in the Board Room.
  19. Scottish football is very very poor at the moment, but we're 2nd top of SPL on merit, and I don't think we can/should expect anymore than that. The only way therefore is down ......................... here's hoping that wont be the case.
