  1. Try being 6'7" ..... no effin head room either
  2. I thought he was a Gannon signing, but not adamant about it. (Jennings, Hutchy, Hateley, Humph, Coke, Ruddy, Juke).
  3. Echo the sentiments above. Well done Iain for organising, and to everyone who contributes. Mon the Well.
  4. Like Sutton before him, Higdon owes us nothing. He and the Club honoured his contract, and he made a damn fine contribution this season. If he moves on, he'll go with my best wishes.
  5. Hutchy ?? We are victims of our own success. Perform well and we get raped. Perform shyte and no-one wants our players and we stay shyte. SM's got a very tricky task ahead in the next few weeks. there's plenty 'free agents' out there, just depends how little they are prepared to play for.
  6. Bluddy BRILLIANT I had some great times in the Shed in the 70's/80's, and delighted to see this generation making the most of their days in there and away from home. I just hope the enthusiasm and numbers doesn't suffer if/when success on the park does.
  7. I'd imagine that's the case ......... and that's fine by me.
  8. Am inclined to agree with this. However, if the seed pots turn out as detailed above there are at least 2 attractive, (and by that I mean: feasible, attendible, accessible, etcible), in each pot. Put us in a pot with Vitesse, Brugge, Estoril, St Etienne, Utrecht and Liege and I'll be delighted and going
  9. Its a buyers market out there now ............. plenty payers clambering for a contract, and with all Clubs tightening the belt then league status and european football might just be the deciding factor to attract a better quality of player.
  10. Vitesse for me, or is that a bridge too far I would however prefer to know our opponents at the time of draw on the 19th, rather than be dealt an "either or" and have to wait till the 25th for the outcome .... which could leave us with 5 days to organise and get there
  11. Hey, you wear what you want and I'll wear what I want. A kilt offers excellent ventilation in all weathers. Besides, it facilitates the evacuation of sweat rather than have it congregate in yer Aquascutum underpants
  12. I don't know, I walked in the shop and all I heard was ...... "has signed for Motherwell" !!!!!
  13. Caught the end of a sports report snippet on MFR that ######### has signed for Motherwell. Could they have been talking about Lawson ------ or have they a scoop ?
  14. I've followed Motherwell to 6 different continental stadiums, none of which offer fan comfort and/or facilities to rival the Cooper or South Stands at FP. Don't think any of them even had pop-up seats. As a very young youngster I loved reading about ancient Greek history. Shame modern Athens is an overpopulated, polluted and unbearably hot furnace of a shitehole. The Olympic stadium is a concrete and plastic monstrosity, so far out of town it might as well have been in Turkey. No proper toilets and one gypo with a pallet of water meant we were treated with utter contempt and thats before mentioning 1 riot cop each !!!! Nice hotel, great roof pool and views ------ but £8 for a vodka n coke :wallbash::wallbash: and sun screen was extra !
  15. How about some Firefox addons Flow ?
  16. Good points Graeme. We can play as much fancy football and dominate games all we like, (Dortmund for example), but its the game events --- goals, pen saves --- that I enjoyed the most and will remember longest. That and march to stadiums and a right good old sing-song party with fellow Well fans. Highlights:- Katowice - getting there, albeit with only 10mins to go. Dortmund - Yellow Submarine. Utrecht - Amsterdam's Red Light District. Nancy - the march and Buzz's pen save. Odense - Tom's goal. Panathanshitos - Tuesday night in the Wee Dram. I krave a decent draw and being able to go and krave even more getting something memorable on the pitch.
  17. Grandson of former MFC Director and his dad played in Dalziel High's Scottish Cup winning team, and is a Well fan.
  18. Am more positive than negative. The Fir Trees tidy-up is excellent. However, why use the Ravenscraig silhouette ? In 1886 the Craig didn't exist, but I do see why its there. I like the white ball. I have a Motherwell FC lapel badge somewhere with a similar white ball in the middle. I would like to see what the claret diagonals across the centre turned into one solid claret band would look like. Alternatively ..................... why not totally simplify: an amber round with a claret band across the centre and Motherwell FC Est. 1886 within the band in amber text.
  19. I can just hear them growling at you, (in Welsh), as we speak
  20. Ok for most of our potential opponents ==== with its proximity to Weegieland, Motherwell is fairly simple to get to. Zilina, Kazan, Odessa, Trondheim ?? We are gonna have to be very lucky out the pot.
  21. How come they seeded then ???
  22. Kazan !!!!! nearer fukken Mongolia than Motherwell
  23. Jeez, there's a stack of undesirable destinations in that list
  24. Why not offer varying levels of discount. Outwith UK = 25%, outwith 150miles = 15% say ?
