  1. To be fair, I think 5 minutes with Boris and Truss would do that to most of us.
  2. I didn't buy any training tops this year, but I did buy a home and away kit. When Macron first became our supplier XL was my size, and the XL tops fitted me perfectly this season too.
  3. Last 5 league games vs Hearts at Fir Park we have won 4 lost 1. And the loss was 0 - 1. Some teams are just a good match up and Hearts at home has been one of those in recent times.
  4. There's a couple of teams that seem that way. For me, Livi is the other one. I know we have a good record against them, even away from home, but it never quite feels like that.
  5. I think early kick-offs make a lot of sense this year. The only complication would be the live games, as the TV companies and the league have rules about not having live games broadcast at the same time as other matches are playing. Maybe they could play those later and contribute to the additional costs incurred for that time of day. I'm sure they could figure something out, the same was as they manged to figured out deals during the lock down. Would be a bit of a pain having kick-offs early morning US time, but I'd cope.
  6. I've seen nothing to suggest we can't take points off Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd. In fact, I'd be looking for 3 pts from at least 2 of those.
  7. That was the thing that most frustrated me about GA. In the few minutes a game where we played some football you could see there were players there, but GA seemed to be completely addicted to the launching it and playing off second balls.
  8. You would have loved the John Reilly and Mike Larnach seasons. And Steve McLelland before we moved him into defence. Sounds like you missed all the Jordan White and Curtis Main games though.
  9. Take your pick from the "wish we'd played them last week" extravaganza...
  10. It's old school. In Scotland, it used to be the home team that changed. Fir Park, midweek under the lights, white kit. Classic. Still, it's nice that you managed to find something else to moan about even before kick off.
  11. It's certainly a low risk, high reward option. As a loan I presume we are only picking up part of his wages and if for some reason it doesn't work out we can look at other options in the next window. If it does work out, then everybody wins. There is no chance a club like ours is can afford an on-form, first choice striker so we either need to take a chance with someone from a lower league hoping they can step up or someone with a decent record looking to get back on track.
  12. Not while they keep winning in Europe. He seems to get them set up exactly right in those games, but struggles sometimes in Premiership games.
  13. Turnbull scoring the easiest goal of his career.
  14. Can't really judge his recruitment given how recently he was appointed, and the amount of time he had before the window closed. For all we know there were other deals in progress with GA that were nixed because Hammy didn't want them or the player changed their mind after GA left. It should be our scouts that are finding targets anyway rather than the manager.
  15. We certainly need some perspective. He made 10 appearance last season and hasn't started a game for Burton Albion this season. I think the most minutes he has is 35. If we can get up him to speed and keep him fit he'll, of course, be an asset. With his recent record, however, he could be keeping Jake company.
  16. I certainly hope it works out, but my head says it's a big risk. Disappointed grizzlyg didn't hit us with a "Motherwell gone for a Burton" though.
  17. The team we fielded against ICT was set up to attack a struggling Championship team. While I hope we are still going to field a team designed for attacking, we need to be a bit more tactically astute against Utd and be prepared to defend more often.
  18. Do you have some insight into the legal negotiations between the clubs, player, agent, league rules or are you just throwing out a kneejerk reaction to journo talk?
  19. Stuttgart finished 15th last season (missing the relegation playoffs on goal difference it seems), so I don't think they'll be troubling the hoop measurers in Euro competition this season.
