  1. Not a big fan of all-claret tops. Look too much like Hearts shirts. Good choice for just the keeper, though.
  2. Bevis would edge that battle for me purely for his dribble into box in the first half.
  3. Cast your votes for Dean Cornelius here...
  4. And we don't say that very often in December.
  5. Another good result to move us further up the table.
  6. Big Bevis showing that defenders can't dive for pens as well as strikers.
  7. Tactical genius midfield selection from GA
  8. Given the line up in midfield, you'd have to think there are some injuries/illnesses we are dealing with.
  9. It's not if he hits the ground running, but most new signings take a few months to bed in. There might be a team willing to give it a punt, but they are more likely to be struggling for goals so less likely to be an attractive move. So now I've said that, expect an announcement from Hearts in the next couple of weeks.
  10. Any club that wants him can sign him on a pre-contract and get him for free in June.
  11. Devante Cole on the bench for Barnsley against Cedric Kipré's WBA this evening. Cedric unlucky to see a header come back off the post.
  12. Liam Kelly took a cut in wages to come to Fir Park because he wanted to play every week and he wanted to boost his chances of international football. Football is different from most jobs because in most jobs you don't need to be in the first team every week or winning trophies to get job satisfaction. Ask James Scott, Declan Gallagher or Jake Hastie if they are enjoying their football as much this season as when they were playing for us, regardless of their bank balance. That's what makes the choice of moving on a tougher one than in most jobs. Money might well win in the end, but the choices aren't as simple as they are for regular employment.
  13. It would have to be silly money to get him January. Especially, as you say, when a pre-contract and a free in the summer is available. Of course, if someone came in with James Scott type money we might be tempted.
  14. If you didn't have to look that up I'm seriously impressed!
  15. I'm not sure Oxford Utd or even Hibs are better things in term of football quality - certainly not this year's Hibs so far. Better money, definitely, and that could be a major factor for Watt when he is making his decision. Campbell's move is still in its early days, but I do expect he will go on to good things there and he is likely to be successful. McKinstry has top flight potential, but it's very much still potential at this stage in his career. We all know how quickly these things can turn sour. Would be great to have an academy product starring the in the EPL every week.
  16. I remember a game against them years ago when they were also bottom of the league. It was a nice sunny evening towards the end of the season, and if St Johnstone lost, their relegation was confirmed. Standing on the East Terrace, I watched us stroll to a 4 - 0 victory. This game will be nothing like that one - but I think we'll win,
  17. It's the same pool of refs that review the VAR video, so I have zero confidence things will get any better against the OF in that regard. You'll never hear as many "no clear and obvious error" calls from any VAR other than Ibrox or Parkhead.
  18. Votes please, thoughts optional...
  19. If they give those, Kelly would be conceding about 50% of his kicks from hand when he strays out his box. Glad to see we're not parking the bus.
  20. He actually returned quicker than expected. I read an article that said it was perhaps too quick and after a couple of games on the bench he dropped back out of the squad for a couple of games. However, Wee Al being Wee Al, he was back as a starter for Luton in early November and pretty much played the full 90 mins in all 5 of their game since.
  21. Maybe or maybe not. I was just giving a possible reason why he might struggle to recapture this level of form elsewhere - and his prior dips in form suggest it's something he has struggled to deal with in the past. Of course, his current experiences might have better prepared him for a move, so we'll just need to wait and see.
  22. Moved up a position in the league today. If we don't play for another month we might end up top.
  23. Because he says he puts his current form to being comfortable in his current surroundings and that will change if he moves?
