  1. We'll probably end up signing another 2 left backs. And then wait for the news they both picked up long term injuries during their first week of training.
  2. Nice! 70's collar just deep enough to show off your gold medallion.
  3. I'd rather he becomes Celtic best player as quickly as possible and earns a multi-million pound move to a different league.
  4. He's on the record as recently as Friday saying he is planning to bring in new players, offload a few (and looking to extend O'Donnell's contract).
  5. I feel like we got it the wrong way round. Are you not supposed to defend like this to keep it at 0 - 0 then score in the last minute?
  6. I'm delighted we just won a half. I watched the Liverpool game before this one and had visions of a similar scoreline
  7. I thought he was only a reserve because he fell out with the manager.
  8. I've started checking my watch already.
  9. "Sorry Nicola. It just disappeared from our bank account. I know, I know - you'd never think it would happen twice. Can I interest you in some CBD Vindaloo?"
  10. If only the other common theme for the last 2 decades wasn't "they could field their U12 team with their best 3 players out and we'd still find a way to lose". One day, though.
  11. St. Mirren doing a fine job of setting us up for an even bigger than normal rebound doing.
  12. He obviously had some potential as he came up through the Feyenoord system for 7 years and then the Nike Academy before signing for Wolves. While fans love to think they know all about players, I'm pretty sure the coaches and clubs involved in his early development know more than me. It may well be that he doesn't fulfill that potential, but I doubt he's completely useless. Robinson likes speedy players because you can coach fast player to pass a ball, but you can't coach speed into ball players. It may not have worked out in this case, but I hope we stick to this approach as I enjoy seeing a speedy winger too.
  13. Even when we were getting into the Champions League there were still a large number of posters on here complaining about the style we played, how poorly McCall used his subs, how he was too loyal to under-performing players and how he never had a Plan B. I remember saying at the time to enjoy it while it lasted as challenging for the top 2 (or 3) was by the far the exception to our league performances and when it was over things would be much less exciting.
  14. No. While I liked Johnson, and he scored some excellent goals, he was about as consistent as the current strikers. If you look at his track record, League Two and the Conference are where he has thrived.
  15. Billy Gilmour league appearances = 6 Euan Henderson league apperances = 6 Nathan Paterson league appearances = 1 Barry Maguire league appearances = 18th today Of course, Maguire will come in for his usual stick on here, but when fans say they want our youngsters to play, what they really mean is they expect our youngsters to be as good as senior pros with 5 years behind them.
  16. Cole's still recovering from injury, presumably, so it was him or White - and Long has at least shown he can score.
  17. I know we needed a bit of a shakeup, but not sure that line-up is the answer. Seems to be lacking in creativity.
  18. Kille and St Mirren couldn't fulfill their scheduled fixtures down to their severe breach of the Covid protocols. That was what was investigated and punished. Utd and Celtic are fulfilling their fixtures (although I thought Utd were being investigated). Calling off games is the key difference. Not taking action is unfair punishment on ourselves and Accies as we'd have to fit the games into the tight schedule and play them when they are back to full strength. Not only is that rewarding them for breaching the protocols, it would encourage other teams to call of games when it suited them, knowing there would be no consequence. This is a unique season where unique rules need to be applied. They need to suck it up and move on - and be grateful they didn't have to pay the fine.
  19. Most disciplinary systems allow an appeal. I expect the same outcome as Hearts relegation appeal, however, as the published decisions seemed to cover every point of contention pretty well.
  20. Have they hired Rudy Giuliani as their lawyer?
  21. We both know the answer to that. We've fallen back into our early season habit of not taking our chances. That needs to change soon and this game is as good as any for the strikers to get back into the groove.
  22. I see we decided not to put anyone in the left back slot again. Terrible defending on both side of the box for that goal.
  23. Checked the half times to see how Scott and Gorrin are doing in the Oxford v Hull game. Scott on the bench today and Gorrin's been booked.
  24. Better all-round performance than last week apart from our ability to score.
