It was fine before all you free loading season ticket holders joined us. (TBF, it's fine for me now too. Apart from the brief outages yesterday, my streams have been rock solid despite having a less than stellar internet speed).

I think we need to settle on a starting front 2 (or 3) and stick with it for a few games. Starting with a different line-up every week isn't doing anyone any favours. You won't find consistency with an inconsistent team selection.

I noticed that. I thought he'd be 3rd choice when he moved there, but he's only one injury away from an EPL start. I imagine he'll get a run in one of the cups, which seems to be the norm these days.

Depends on a lot of different factors, a there are there are lot of moving parts in between the server and your house. Player 1 has been rock solid for me in the US this morning, but prior weeks 2 and 3 have been better.

If it was just the players' fault we wouldn't be seeing the same pattern repeat itself year after year for 20 years. The issue runs much deeper than that, and starts at the grass roots level. I keep banging on about it , but when France had the problem of under performing teams, they put a ten year plan in place to develop players from the ground up. A plan they stuck with even after an early minor disaster of blowing a World Cup qualification in 1994. They followed it through and ended up with a national team that won the Euros and the World Cup. Meanwhile, when Strachan took over the international job he went on record with his surprise at the squads' poor technical skills and how he had to quickly dumb-down the tactics he wanted to use because the players were incapable of executing. Once the rot sets in, it takes more then swapping in new players to fix it. The whole system needs shaking up and there has been nobody in the SFA with the courage to change it. That's how you end up with Malky Mackay as the performance director for the past 4 years. (Any idea what he does? Me either.) We don't have the infrastructure in place to develop international teams, and I don't see anything that makes me think there is appetite for change.

Isn't the entire point that it's so low risk? The test isn't to verify that 1.5% capacity is safe. The test is to do a first run of the protocols to see if there is anything that needs tweaked when larger numbers are involved. You don't start running tests at 50% and hope nothing goes wrong.

While I don't disagree, if the team was picked on form McTominay shouldn't be anywhere near it, as he is in preseason right now.

I was having the same discussion at the weekend. I'd much rather see a decent player in his natural position than trying to push someone the manager thinks is better out of position. Players are getting drilled every day so their positional tactics become second nature. Asking them to play elsewhere after a couple of days' get together is just looking for problems. Both goals we lost in the past 2 games were entirely avoidable and I doubt if O'Donnell, Gallagher or any natural defender would have been caught out the same way.

I don't know about hopeless, but he's not at his best in a back 3 that Clarke seems to prefer. I wouldn't see being picked as part of the squad as being "career over" though. I'd be more concerned if I was O'Donnell as McTominay is not close to being a decent right-sided defender - not surprising given he is a centre-mid normally - and he has got the nod twice over O'Donnell.
