  1. The number of times we have players receiving the ball in the box with their back to the goal must be some kind of world record.
  2. With Accies sitting in we need to spend less time passing the ball in front of them and more time hitting the by-line to get some crosses in.
  3. Bevis playing short passes to the man beside him has made a difference today - at least to my stress levels.
  4. Apart from 5 mins in the Dundee Utd game they've all been rock solid for me. Even the Rangers friendly.
  5. Been like that every week for me. Annoying enough that I need to turn down the sound.
  6. Each stream uses a different kind of player - some browsers support one type better than others. It's possible there is actually a backup video stream too that is available on these players, but it's not clear if that's the case.
  7. According to wikipedia, for the 2019/20 competition the payouts were as follows: Preliminary round: €220,000 First qualifying round: €240,000 Second qualifying round: €260,000 Third qualifying round: €280,000 Play-off round elimination: €300,000 Base fee for group stage: €2,920,000 Group match victory: €570,000 Group match draw: €190,000 Group winners: €1,000,000 Group runners-up: €500,000 Round of 32: €500,000 Round of 16: €1,100,000 Quarter-finals: €1,500,000 Semi-finals: €2,400,000 Runner-ups: €4,500,000 Champions: €8,500,000
  8. Anything with a plastic pitch is a downgrade for me. I'd rather stand on a wobbly step to watch a game on grass than sit in an armchair to watch a game on plastic.
  9. Has any Scottish club ever moved to a better stadium? I'm struggling to think of any.
  10. Also a board that knows when we won our last competitive game.
  11. The Hull deal seemed to happen pretty quickly and close to the end of the window, so I think they got a jump on their competitors. As you say, no doubt that at least some of those other clubs were also tracking him. Now that Hull are dropping down a league maybe they think they can entice him away. I have no idea how he'll develop, but Scott always looked like a footballer to me. Craigan used to complain he didn't shoot often enough and Robinson would get frustrated that he didn't use his size to his best advantage, but those are things that can be coached. He drifted in and out of games sometimes like youngsters are prone to do, but we definitely missed him when he moved on.
  12. Not just those two. I think we started getting our act together as far back as the Marvin Johnson deal.
  13. Not sure how European games factor into the mix for MFC TV. It's not listed as one of the upcoming fixtures yet (although that might be due to not knowing opponents). Given the issues there are with domestic cup games, however, I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's available for streaming.
  14. £3 million base for Turnbull plus £750k for his new and improved knee.
  15. Also, kudos to Lamie who I thought was poor on Wednesday, but did a good job on Saturday.
  16. Turnbull is getting back to his old self, which is great to see - but he needs a bit more practice with his dead balls. Some really poor corners in the last couple of games which is unusual for him.
  17. Seedorf was clearly offside. When he jumped and flicked his leg in the air he was either trying to deflect the ball or get out of the way of the shot. If he was trying to deflect the ball then he falls foul of: clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent If he was trying to get out of the way of the shot he falls foul of: making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball And look at where he's standing in relation to the keeper just before the ball is deflected. Looks like he's obstructing vision to me.
  18. Well one of us was right. I'll leave working out who that was as an exercise for the interested reader
  19. Sadly, the replays confirm it was a good call.
  20. I don't really care if my defenders are good footballers, but they do need to keep passes simple and safe. First priority is defence, though.
  21. If we can just drill it into him to keep his passing short and simple it would be fine.
  22. Looking forward to see what Lang can do as a starter.
