  1. And whatever happens against Celtic on Sunday, we'll still end the day in at least 5th place.
  2. Top 3 are easy for me: 1. Wullie Pettigrew 2. Bobby Graham 3. Tommy Coyne Then 4. Higdon (albeit just for his record breaking season) Number 5 is where it gets even harder. Was a big fan of Porter, but I'd go for McLair. Finding his feet in his first season and 16 goals for 37 games in his second season - not to mention his goals defeating the OF in consecutive games at Fir Park. More importantly, though, was you could see he was going to be a player. Although I wouldn't argue if swapped 4 and 5. (In fact I think I would swap them).
  3. There's certainly a feeling among the fans that we should write them off - and that's based on bitter recent experience. I don't think guys like GA are writing them off, however. If you look at the OF record each year, though, they don't lose many at home.
  4. Is this just a subtle way of telling her she's dumped?
  5. I'd say it was lazy journalism, but I don't think they even applied that much effort to link ex-Preston player with Preston job. Usually when the papers say "is linked" they mean a journo came up with the idea. I read the article, and there are literally zero sources or quotes about Alexander. At least the links to Callum Davidson have "reports have suggested" which at a minimum means someone else outside of the writer's imagination has said it too.
  6. I'm certainly not dissing Dougie - and he will always be a cup winning legend who I enjoyed watching. He's just not in my elite top tier of players I've seen play in the past 50+ (fifty? - I'm getting old!) years at Fir Park.
  7. If we're playing that game, I'll see you Alex Fisher, Mike Larnach and Jim Gillespie.
  8. I'd have Bobby Graham in there ahead of Arnott. Class act that is too often overlooked thanks to Wullie P.
  9. Dougie was a legend for obvious cup winning reasons, but I don't think he'd make it into the top 5 strikers I've enjoyed watching at Fir Park.
  10. Parking the bus would be suicidal - especially give our issues with defensive injuries. Pressing high from the start, like we have done in our recent victories, is the best way to defend because as soon as you give their players space to play they will hurt you. Surprised if we pick up any points from this, but I think we'll make a game of it.
  11. Lick the salt 'n' sauce of your fingers and give us your votes please...
  12. So you're saying we should have won?
  13. Proving once again how much easier it is to win a game when you do score.
  14. Proving once again how difficult it is to win a game when you don't score.
  15. Our commentary is in sync for me, but Lewis sounds like he is having to use his mobile phone after the initial technical difficulties.
  16. Lewis has just found his soup cans and string.
  17. Probably not a bad game for Cornelius to start as Hibs aren't as physical as some other sides we come up against.
  18. Not sure about that, as I was 100% sure Sol would be out after GA claimed it was "just a bit of cramp"!
  19. Their LLLWL league performance is definitely enough to give me the fear. On the other hand, if we start on the front foot like we did against Hearts and Dundee Utd, we could take a point or three here.
  20. I'm doing the honours this week for the Utd game. Now you've all dried out, time to make your choice.
  21. Although I should know better by now, I'm more surprised when people judge a new player (or write them off completely) after a couple of appearances. It's not like it's a secret that new players take time to get up to speed in a new team with new training methods, new team mates and new tactics.
  22. Not sure he'd fancy Aberdeen or Paisley.
  23. In previous posts I said that I liked big Bevis, but he was never more than decent cover as a right back. What I obviously meant is that he is a terrific right back that should keep playing there
