  1. Confirmed here. (on the Beeb) Always thought he was the front runner given the success he's had in his current role.
  2. For anyone interested, there's a stream for Birmingham v Hull game here. I'm loaded up with ad blockers and malware blockers, so as always, make sure you're protected before streaming.
  3. McCall picked up 7 points in the season he left us. I loved having him at Fir Park, but that was a disaster. A rot like that setting in has condemned many a team to relegation (see Hibs, Hearts, Dundee, Dundee Utd, Partick Thistle) and by turning that around for us I'll happily forgive Baraclough's dodgy start to the following season. The current gaffer was brought in to assist him that season too, so it all worked out in the end.
  4. He also won the league and 2 cups with Sligo Rovers. Not quite as high a standard, but still domestic silverware.
  5. That was the highlight for me. The way handled that game was first class. His enthusiasm for taking on Rangers was contagious
  6. He was a strange one. The team was a shambles when McCall left and Baraclough struggled at first. In the run up to the play-offs we won 5, drew 3 and lost 4 - which is decent form to bring into a game like that. Then we reverted to the McCall shambles at the start of his following season. He seems to really well across the water, winning leagues and trophies domestically and with a good record internationally.
  7. If we do lose Robinson, I'd rather see him taking the NI job than ending up at a rival club - but it would be a loss for the new season I wasn't a fan of his early style, but was a fan of his approach to training and fitness and have enjoyed watching his recent teams. The benchmark for any gaffer is that they leave a club in a better state than when they joined it and he has certainly done that.
  8. Of course - assuming the club make a profit from this. I'd rather see all £22 go directly to the club than a crowd full of Love Island cut outs, but that's just me (a miserable old git). But if it generates extra income and adds to the matchday experience, more power to it.
  9. We'd be paying some of his wages and, if we improve his game, generating a bigger fee for him when Rangers sell him. Both of which give Rangers a financial bonus.
  10. I doubt Murphy will be an option - he has a year left on his contract and Rangers need someone to either buy him or absorb a large chunk of his wages. Hastie, I'm guessing, will be out on tour again next season. (Taking Murphy on loan for a year wouldn't be developing him for Rangers, though, as he'd be out of contract at the end of it).
  11. I have a feeling that all the hilarious cut-outs will be a lot less amusing than the people who submit them think they are.
  12. While that's true, developing a player for a rival in your league is a little counterproductive. I'm sure nobody was too worried that we developed Ruddy for Everton, but developing a player for teams we're competing against is not something I'm a fan of.
  13. It will end up being Derry, Shamrock Rovers or Bala Town.
  14. The Malpas Method? I would be fine if we promote from within, but I'd also like us to cast the net a little wider. No need to restrict our options and it never hurts to test the market.
  15. Fair enough. I am, at best, on the fence as I never saw enough of him last season to be able to judge. If there are youngsters ready for the step up I would definitely prefer they get that chance.
  16. I always thought Polworth was the replacement for Turnbull - before it all went pear shaped. I can see the logic behind O'Hara for Campbell, although Campbell would be a big loss.
  17. Must have rejected that 3 year deal Barry Fry claimed we'd offered. It's almost like he made up that story.
  18. I think for a few posters on here that should definitely be a requirement.
  19. The away version isn't too shabby either.
  20. Not many had heard of Robinson before he joined us.
  21. In one of his interviews he also said he thought it was probably a bit too soon for him. Of course, that it is the correct thing to say when you're dealing with speculation, so I took that with the necessary grain of salt.
  22. If they had added an iceberg it would make perfect sense.
  23. I'd be surprised if Robinson wanted the NI job at this stage. But then again, I thought there was zero chance Hearts would poach Neilson from United.

Don't feel bad it took you this long to realise how much sense I make.
