  1. I was surprised we let him play on after his initial injury when he clashed with the keeper. I know he's been an important player in recent weeks, but I'd have hooked him at that stage as a precaution.
  2. Totally agree. There is no way we get zero points in the next 4 games and even less chance Accies, Killie and Ross County each win 3.
  3. Of course, it so unlikely, you might want to stick a tenner on that sequence of events so that if we did finish bottom, you could retire to a small island with your winnings.
  4. Given there will be no crowds, we could pretty much play it any time over that weekend starting on Friday evening without causing any problems for the teams or the SFA Lodge Meeting.
  5. I think Accies can win 4 and get 39 points. Killie can win 3 (losing to Accies) and get 38 points, but with better goal difference than us. Ross County can win 3 (losing to Accies) and get 39 points. That would be worst case for us if we pick up no more points.
  6. Could it not pan out with Accies winning 4 to get 39 points, Killie winning 3 (losing to Accies) to get 38 points and Ross County winning 3 (losing to Accies) to get 39 points? Leaving us on 38 points, but bottom due to goal difference? (Zero chance of that happening, of course).
  7. For some reason, ESPN were streaming the Accies game here so I was keeping half an eye on that. From what I saw, Accies really should have taken at least a point and gifted Utd their goal with a terrible error from the keeper. That one is going to be tough.
  8. Pretty close, I think. If Accies get max points they end up on 39 and Killie could get 38 max. And Ross County could get 39 max, I think. So Killie and Ross County could avoid the relegation spot on goal difference if we don't pick up another point. If we get a point in our next game then I think that means we are mathematically, arithmetically and Liam Kellically safe. (Or maybe we need 2 points - sums are hard). (I may also have got this completely wrong)
  9. Couldn't have beaten them in a more pleasing way.
  10. Nah. It's been about 5 years since 35 points ended up in the play-off spot and I'm sure we'll end up with more points than that. I predicted a few weeks ago that we'd finish comfortably above the relegation/play-off spots and even a loss today wouldn't change my mind on that. Even with our slightly erratic form I'd be surprised if we don't pick up 6 or 7 points before the end of the season. Which will be plenty. Having said all that, I really want to finish 7th, above St Mirren, (and hopefully see at least one plastic pitch drop out the league). 2 - 0 to the good guys.
  11. Hope there are enough PPV tickets put on sale for 'Well fans. Would hate to miss out.
  12. TBF, most streamed games on a Saturday clash with the 3pm kick-offs. We're operating under different rules this season.
  13. Every season Polworth has played more than 30 league games for us we have finished 3rd.
  14. The ex-Academy team mates linking well for that one.
  15. Getting current players on the commentary team has always been enjoyable. Watt has been excellent - in prior seasons guys like Hartley and Tanner were always good value.
  16. Much brighter start to the second half to get that 3rd goal. (I think Devante was shooting, though).
  17. First half pretty much what I was expecting. Fortmartine up for it in the first half hour, difficult pitch to play any kind of passing game, and us with our usual post-international-game performance. Missing Watt's energy. Lawless our best performer so far.
  18. Is this Liam Polworth posting on here?
  19. If a regular starter takes a knock and is out for a game, I can see the point in mentioning it. For players that are out longer term the medical staff generally don't like making predicitons about when they will be fit again, so I'm not sure what good it would do for the manager to run through the long-term injury list every week and tell us who is still out.
  20. You might be right, but from memory, they said exactly the same thing for the Euro game and when you clicked the button it said "you need to buy a ticket on the PPV site".
  21. Motherwell players playing for the first Scotland team to qualify for the Euros in 20+ years? Booooo. BOOOOOOOO! Get them ooooot!!!!! Don't want all those fancy dan internationalists anywhere near our squad when we can have non-league journeyman to fill the jerseys. Let's get Grimshaw back there and put Lamie at left back!!!!!
