  1. Semple and MacIver maybe (and/or Starrs)?
  2. Basically, there needs to be a "number zone" that provides sufficient contrast between the number and the shirt colour. The claret band doesn't meet that requirement.
  3. For the interested reader:
  4. Very smart. Would have preferred the black socks, but that's a minor niggle.
  5. I still remember the quote I saw from a Rangers fan after they signed Hastie. His prediction was "another youngster we'll loan out for 2 seasons before offloading him to Oldham"
  6. I've obviously no idea, but I take the original point. If Polworth or Turnbull leaves we'd need a completely different style of replacement than if Donnelly or Campbell leaves.
  7. Andy Robertson has been found wanting at international level too. Not because he's a bad player (he's obviously excellent), but because the international squad has deep issues that you can see have a negative influence on even our best players.

Even more if it's a family of 3 or 4 full price season ticket holders. It's great if you can afford to let it go. It's also great that you can get a refund if you need it. Only on here would you get an argument about why having both options is a bad thing.

It's nice to be a fan of a club that does the right thing.

Aye, it's not obvious from the website, but if you download the brochure it says:
  11. I always liked the white shorts/white collar combos from the 30s and 50s. And the black socks that were part of the kit too.
  12. I didn't mind the pawnbroker side of the Cash Converters business -that's an unfortunate, but necessary service for a lot of people in hard times. They also provided payday loans, though, which I'm less enthusiastic about.
  13. It's not so much having a sponsor that can make or break a shirt for me, but who the sponsor happens to be. Ian Skelly was pretty iconic, Cash Converters not so much.
  14. He was also Edinburgh based for years and is on record recently saying that he plans to recruit young Scottish players in his new role (or, at least, young players from the Scottish leagues).
  15. A piece from the Scotsman earlier in the week about Tony Watt.
  16. That would be a good move for both parties as Hladky is moving on and I assume Gordon is looking for a first team starting spot (which I doubt he'd get at Fir Park).
  17. It's easy to forget that Campbell's only 21 despite over a century of appearances for us. I think people tend to overlook his technical ability because of his hard tackling and good engine, but he is pretty decent in that department too. He still has room for development, and he has plenty of time on his side. Having Donnelly as holding mid last season let Campbell forward more often and I thought he (and the team) was better for it.
  18. Tough choice, but Gallagher has been pure class all season , so went for the big man. Polworth a narrow second - partly because he's the kind of player I enjoy watching and partly to annoy the people that can't see how good he is.
  19. Unless we're losing another defender in the transfer window I'm not sure we need Gogic. Especially if the Lamie story is accurate.
  20. Classic example is Frank Lampard. Played for West Ham for 6 years while his dad was assistant manager. And the manger, Harry Rednapp was his uncle.
  21. To be fair, I was screaming abuse at him from my sofa this season every time he tried one of his Hollywood passes instead of keeping it short and simple His contributions on and off the park have been significant and I can imagine his influence among the players will be missed.
  22. Have you actually seen him play or did a pal of yours get punted this season and you're ragin'?
  23. Partially that, and partially playing for Man City where Joe Corrigan was never going to be dropped.
  24. I don't think my sanity could cope with lockdown + another 6 month Turnbull transfer saga.
  25. This, plus what ourselves (and all other clubs) end up doing in the way of transfers also depends heavily on what the new season looks like. Even if it does start in August, I imagine there will be a lot free agents available in the next month or two as clubs offload players to save money.
