  1. Good stuff from back in the days when Raith Rovers were in the top flight.
  2. Looks great, so far. You've far more patience than me.
  3. Jutkiewicz is exactly the kind of centre forward Robinson has been looking for. He always looked the part at Fir Park and it was no surprise that he has thrived in the Championship.
  4. The Riordan / Stokes combo always gave me the fear. Never seemed to have a bad game against us.
  5. You could grow potatoes at the corner flag.
  6. Not been his happiest season at St Johnstone and it sounded like there was going to be pretty substantial wage trimming even before the current situation. Sounds like a combination of his time coming to an end and the NI job opening up. That must increase his chances of taking up the international spot.
  7. I don't think there is any issues with the players doing what is asked of them. The issue is that the Government may decide not to pay their wages if they feel they aren't really furloughed during that period if they are performing duties normally associated with their employment.
  8. Training is a football player's job, though. In a busy Sat - Wed - Sat, they might play football for 4.5 hours. The rest of their job is training. That's completely different from somebody who works in a office or on a shop floor and spends a few hours a year in training. I'm not saying that should be the case, but I can easily imagine the Government deciding that is the case. Especially the current mob.
  9. I could be misremembering, but I thought one of the papers said Peterborough were willing to let him go on a free. Regardless - I think we should pay HMRC anyway. No point in messing (even legitimately) with the tax man.
  10. I would imagine sports are a bit of grey area in that respect where training is 95% of the job.
  11. They can play in an old Hearts top if they like, as long as they start playing!
  12. I see what you mean. The stripe ends up being a bit wider than I imagined too. Still a fine effort, though. How about a pin stripe width hoop (about the same width as the collar) just under the sponsor logo?
  13. Looks great, but think it might work even better with the main stripe as the old 1970's diagonal.
  14. It doesn't mean the story came from the club, though. Sadly, the days of journalists only publishing an article when they have 2 independently confirmed sources are long gone; especially on the internet. Onthefringes has consistently proved to be a much more reliable source.
  15. The three stripes remind me of the classic Adidas Stefan Edberg 90s tennis shirt.
  16. Given his comments on his recent BT Sport interview, it sounded like he didn't want it yet. (Of course, the alternative view is that he would say that, wouldn't he).

Was that you telling me off for having an opinion we're all entitled to?

Can I suggest the "buy nothing and shut up" option?

It would be ridiculous if you were forced to buy one. Or they promised you 20 home games. As neither is the case, the only ridiculous thing is you trying to tell fans how they should spend your money.

Why is it ridiculous? If fans want to support their club now, and have the money to do so, they can buy a season ticket in full knowledge that next season could/will be altered. If fans don't want to take the risk of buying a season ticket now, or can't afford it in current climate, they can wait. Both perfectly reasonable options. It's not like anyone is being forced to buy tickets.
  21. I think that depends on what UEFA come up with. I read a week or two ago they were open to automatically extending existing contracts to cover seasons being completed and extending the transfer window if necessary. Another option being considered was letting clubs do their regular transfer business now, but not activating the new contracts until the new season officially starts. What the logistics would be regarding payment of wages for that gap in the middle, however, wasn't explained.

    I like your thinking.

I heard back from Wendy at the club and this is how I managed to register. It seems that it recognises my Well Society membership number. So I had to do the following: - On the sign-in page, click on the "Forgot your login details" link - For Customer Number, enter your Well Society membership number. It needs to be 5 digits, so add 0 or 00 at the front if necessary. - Click the Reset Password button - that sends a reset password email to the email address on file - Use the reset password link from the email - Sorted

I tried US number with country code and without country code. I tried a (real) UK number and fake UK number after choosing UK as a location. And a combination of all of these on a UK VPN, all from my desktop. Still no luck. I pinged support to see if they could assist, but no reply yet.
  25. I'm pleasantly surprised we managed to keep both Carson and Gillespie for so long (albeit, Carson was out for a while). The fact that Trevor extended his contract suggested that Gillespie would be moving on and, as you say, an EPL move would be great for Gillespie and another great advert for the club.
