I was thinking when I read it that it could have done with a good editor review before it was published.

Very true. I doubt any 'Well fan would be too surprised if we got something out of tonight's game then lose on Saturday.

I've seen Gorrin a few times since he moved to Oxford and he's usually had a good game (and seems highly rated by the commentators and pundits).

They would be daft to blindly buy any guy. But we know he'll be subjected to at least the same rigourous level of medical tests that identified the issue in the first place. I'd be happier if nobody wanted him until he gets another full season under his belt at Fir Park, but I can't see that happening. I fully expect a club will be happy to take a relatively low risk on him. If not Celtic, then an English club.

I wasn't a big fan of the Watt option before we sold Scott (as I'd prefer if we had been able to develop him for the remainder of the season). Now that Scott's moved on, I agree it's a low risk option to take a look and see if he can do a job for the remainder.

With the way the negotiations happened and the comments in the aftermath, I'd be surprised if they don't still have the first option to buy. If they decline, I'd still be surprised to see Turnbull at Fir Park next season in role other than "back for a visit". I'd be delighted, however, if he is in our line-up next season.

I heard a rumour he scored the winner against Barcelona. He's managed to keep that quiet.

He was terrible in the Hearts cup tie I mentioned.

The most noticeable thing about our team this season (and to a certain extent last season) is that when we are bad, every single player is bad - nobody seems capable of pulling us out of the nosedive during the 90 minutes. Livi being the most recent example, but Accies and the Hearts cup tie are other examples. We have bounced back each time, so hopefully that will continue.

The big difference when you play Celtic is that they are better at taking advantage of your mistakes. If you make 2 slip-ups in defence, they are likely to score 2 goals. Likewise, up front, clear chances will be limited and we need to be clinical. I completely agree we better off going for it than sitting in.

Of course, we'll put in a performance in this game that could have earned us at least at point against Livingston, but will probably see us lose by a couple of goals to Celtic.

Clearly that is a valid statistical analysis of an appropriate sample size over an appropriate time frame accounting for external variables. You might was well use today's game as a sample and extrapolate that "we lose every game and only former players score against us"

Playing Long in the lone striker role seems to be having the exact impact you'd expect.

Overall these days I feel more comfortable having Grimshaw in a right back than Tait, but Tait does offer more quality when he's attacking. Livi do have a bit of pace up front, so he might struggle there. Not a fan of Long up front on his own. He needs someone to play off.

I might watch the Wales game. The Scotland team give me the fear.

The official site says it will let Ndjoli play in his more natural central position (although I'm sure when he signed he was touted as a wide player). First of all, I have nothing against Scott leaving - if he felt it was a good deal, more power to the guy. Given that he was in and out of the team (and form) for us, I'd be surprised of he gets much of a sniff of Hull's first team at this stage, but stranger things happen in football. Last moan on the subject - selling a developing youngster with two and a half years left on his contract and bringing in two short term loans to develop for other teams to sell on, is not the way to develop the team at the grass roots level. If we just want to make money, we could scrap the academy and focus on recruitment of guys like Johnson, Moult, Hall and Kipre to flip for a quick profit. I hope, we are better than that, but for a club that keeps saying we are in good financial shape and don't "need" to sell anyone, there's not much locally sourced produce left in stock. I'm shutting up now.

If that was the case, why would Hull bid £750k instead of enough to trigger the release clause? Or is your assumption that the club had to say YES a load of shite?
