  1. That is true given our current circumstances.
  2. My point is he should be "the forwards" (or one of) and our midfielders should be linking with him. His main job should be receiving the ball inside the box and scoring goals.
  3. For me, if Watt's starting, he needs to be up top. I'm not a fan of putting strikers in "advanced midfield" positions.
  4. I was only joking, of course. However, there are many intelligent and football savvy people I know who would never post on social media, so I would personally never factor that in to a voting decision. There are lots of business that fail because the founders are passionate, intelligent and have a great product - but lack the skills to execute.
  5. Isn't ignoring a person's qualifications and choosing to vote for someone who is vocal on social media how Trump managed to become President ?

    POD Stand

If you take advantage of one of the hospitality packages that includes a ticket in the POD it's a great day out, even if (when) the result goes against us.
  7. Shame, as @texanwellfan already voted for him as MOTM.
  8. Don't know if you're going senile, but the stats show you submitted a vote for the keeper 18 hours ago.
  9. Or not fit yet and was only on the bench as emergency cover.
  10. One scenario is where we score more goals than them. At this stage it's difficult to tell how good they are, but I expected to see more from them against Celtic. Like every season since the early League Cup groups began, you don't get an idea of how good or bad teams are until a few weeks after the window closes (i.e. around mid-September).
  11. Did the loss of Apostolos Costusaloss? Take your pick...
  12. There's a difference between "not injured" and "fit" It's the recovery in between that determines when you're ready for a start. Nice construction of a post though, finding something to rage about, but only if certain conditions that you are 100% speculating about are true.
  13. Yes. I often skip the match threads after a poor performance or defeat as I don't need to read any more "SK/Paton/Slattery/Davor/Casey/SOD is shite” posts. Likewise, it's easy to not watch Sportscene (or fast forward through our match) and don't bother reading the match reports in the media. By Wednesday, all focus will be on the Killie game.
  14. Robinson knew how to get the best out of Hastie, but wingers seems to have gone out of fashion in recent years. He may well have had a better career if he had stayed on at Fir Park for another season - or he may have faded once the opposition figured him out. Brown looks like he wants to play 2 wide men at Ayr, so if he can kickstart his career anywhere it might be at Somerset Park.
  15. For anyone that undertstands American betting odds*, Rangers are -500 and Motherwell are +1140 (* I am not one of those people)
  16. Jake Hastie on as a sub to replace Jamie Murphy in the Ayr Utd game this evening. Murphy had a good game, Hastie didn't do much.
  17. We quite regularly pick up points against St Johnstone, Hearts and Aberdeen so even if we get nothing against Rangers I'm not sharing the fear.
  18. "To be honest, and I've said this before, I'm not here to complain or want anybody to feel sorry for me, we've got to perform at our best or we won't take anything from the game" (Although I usually enjoy listening to his pressers during my tea break).

I think that was 100% dependent on a sponsor (or "partner") paying for it.
  21. And I don't get the love for Blaney, as he makes just as many mistakes. He passes straight to opponents in danger areas 2 or 3 times a game, loses his man too often for my liking and has the same brain fart ratio as all our central defenders from last season.
  22. On the plus side, we are a much more solvent club. I read that in 2023, Everton hit the impressive debt of £1 billion, even with their dodgy accountants.
