  1. Not many of us there that night, but I was one them. And it was on Scotsport later (mainly because the rules at the time meant if they wanted to show highlights of an English game they also had to show the highlights of a Scottish game too). Of course, this week's game won't be at Boghead.
  2. That's very true. Skippy nagged, bullied and encouraged (mostly nagged) Erwin constantly through every minute he played. That can't be underestimated.
  3. Might be that or might be we've worked out how to better integrate the needs of preseason training with the (different) needs of competitive games in the middle of it. (Or it could be that AND that we've signed better players)
  4. Very early stages yet, but I wasn't overly impressed with St Johnstone or Ross County today.
  5. And we loaned Erwin out (to Arbroath) to get him first team football.
  6. That was the first squad I remember.
  7. He apologised later. I can't say it bothered me any more than thinking "that wasn't a smart thing to say" for about 2 seconds and then forgetting about it.
  8. Fell out with the management at Swindon when he got his chance, and now is in our classic mould of a player with "a point to prove"
  9. Correct - I only posted the very specific clause that deals with last night's situation. The second part of the law is:
  10. There is. Only the opponents have to be outside the box. The ball is in play "when it is kicked and clearly moves" - and as soon as it's in play the opponents can also enter the box. The idea being it speeds up play and reduces time wasting.
  11. With his 22 goals, a key part of McCall's side that finished 2nd in the league (while losing to Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup).
  12. Scott has improved because of a consistent starting spot at the end of last season and this. If he's not going to be the regular starter in the league, I think he'd be better off getting first team football as a loanee. Much better for development than playing in the half-baked Reserve league. Strikers, probably more than any other position, benefit from keeping sharp by playing competitive games.
  13. EDIT: let me try and get the formatting right this time The latest version of the relevant rule (Rule 9) I found on the IFAB website reads as follows: And the Procedure as per Rule 8 for a drop ball is now: So, the ref made the correct decision.
  14. Fake News!! Fake News!! Little "Al B Wrong" and his lies are polluting journalism. Lock him up!!!!
  15. Alan Hansen-esque (and I'm only half joking).
  16. I think Craggs summed up our 3 wide players. Seedorf has pace, Hylton is a dribbler that likes to take men on and Ilić has the class.
  17. Tanner is also a wide player (although the jury is obviously still out on if we'll see him again).
  18. To be honest, if we can bring in a striker or a winger better than what we have now, either one would be a good addition. Never any harm in improving your strike force.
  19. Robinson already said there is no chance of Aryibi coming back - because Aryibi didn't want to come back. (Although I take any transfer talk from any player, club, manager or agent with a huge grain of salt as we all know how quickly things change).
  20. And still have Sloth, Long and Cole to come.
  21. Gallagher looked excellent. I haven't seen much of him, but very impressed with his distribution from the back.
  22. And Morton still haven't scored at Fir Park since 1990, apparently.
  23. Very comfortable win without being overly stretched by Morton.
  24. Ilic denied by a goal line clearance.
  25. He does. Not quite in synch with a few of his new teammates couple of times, but already looks like he can find the pass in tight spaces around the box.
