  1. Commentary is there, but I think he's doing it without a mic from Morrison's car park.
  2. Given the sales figures, there seems to be a demand. Right now, it's just the trend that clubs, or more accurate their kit suppliers, create all the different styles of shirts and training gear. Celtic might keep the same fundamental design, but there is still a huge demand for their latest version very season, and their second kit, and their third kit, and their new training gear etc. As I've said in other posts, and I'm not joking, older fans are not the demographic. The majority of fans seem to like a new design every season. I'm not one of them, but not buying them is a pretty easy problem to solve.
  3. I'd say the fluorescent yellow and all the black ones have been worse. Like the first team kit, I'm in the "not bothered" camp.
  4. It's like Tom Baker's character in Black Adder. "There's two schools of thought on that. Everyone else does, but I don't" Now I'll sit back and wait for the Black Adder geeks to correct my recollection.
  5. Suited to a golf course will be another selling point from a Macron perspective. The good thing about Bay City Rollers shirts is that if you don't like this one there will be a new one (Shang)a-lang soon.
  6. 59 quid from Toffs
  7. Like me, and most others posting, you aren't the target market. And make no mistake, the kit is designed to sell to the kit, not for the benefit of the team. Kit manufacturers care more about how a short looks with jeans, because that is where they make their money. Keeping traditional every season would reduce sales.
  8. Different colours, same idea.
  9. I've tried to block out everything from the Alexander term, filed away beside M for Malpas.
  10. We'll find out (relatively) soon enough if we can attract new investors, but for now - even without the additional income from Theo's transfer - no investment is better than a bad investment.
  11. I'd also point out that running a football club is very different from running a traditional business for many reasons. Being good at running a bank at a profit for the benefit of shareholders is not the same as running a football club for the benefit of the community. That's why many clubs with experienced businessmen at the helm can still struggle.
  12. I did read McMahon's CV at the time he was appointed. It was certainly good, but not the most impressive I've seen. Although I'm an computer geek by profession, my work has brought me into contact with many business people at many levels, including some that work in Mergers and Acquisitions. There is a huge difference between running a business day-to-day and negotiating a takeover deal, and in my experience, that's the time to bring in the experts. McMahon definitely did not appear to be someone with experience in those kinds of deals.
  13. For the few moments of creative passing I'd go with Miller. His ball to Halliday in the first half was a thing of beauty.
  14. Worst season ever! Stick on for relegation! SK OUT! Every player is absolute garbage! Bring back Theo! It's still pre-season! Good to get more minutes in the legs! We'll still win our group! (copy and paste to your favourite social media feed, then take your pick...)
  15. The colour of grass, the bounce of a council car park.
  16. Sounds like a man that needs more competitve minutes.
  17. Some rotation in the squad this evening. Nice to be in a position to have that option.
  18. I wonder if the Well Society lighting up fivers from Bair's fee and waving them in Barmack's face had anything to do with him withdrawing his offer.
  19. Dundee and Ross county have owners with deep pockets who are happy to fork out wads for specific players e.g. Charlie Adam. The exact opposite of the model we are currently operating. And a model that has put Dundee into administration twice in recent years - including a 23 million pound debt and having to sell their stadium. If the choice is between that and developing another Bair, I know my preference.

That would certainly be ideal, but even in better economic times, I agree there would be no chance of that happening. (Or worse, they'd want to open it up to the community by laying an artificial pitch).
  21. If there is a 15-20 goals a season out there who is available and who we have heard of, you can guarantee we can't afford him. Whoever we sign will be someone with potential, not an impressive track record.

I'm getting old, but I'd rather have a half full 10,000 seater than a full 7,000 seater. I like a wee bit of space to move around and get in and out.

I use AI to do that for me.

It would, but looking at the details is cost about 11.5 million to build 20 years ago. Unless we find some serious cash or a generous partner, we'd struggle to afford that - and no doubt that price would be about 20 million now. We could probably recoup some from the sale of Fir Park, but would still leave a large wad to find.
  25. If that's the snidest SK comment you have left today, you need a lie down.
