  1. A quote for the fans that think every player should be a hard tackling, back tracking, ball winning, dynamo.
  2. You're just pissed off that you slagged off Higdon as fat and useless not long before he broke the goal scoring record and won player of the year.
  3. I don't think we have been shafted, as such, we're just in the unfortunate position of being a test case that will take time to filter up the system to a final decision by FIFA arbitration. The MLS chose to participate in the compensation fee system prior to Cadden being signed by Columbus, so they will owe us money. The point of contention is "how much". I see Columbus finished 20th out of 24 teams this season, so he should feel quite at home there. Of course, there is still the very good chance that this is all just posturing and he'll be playing at Oxford for the remainder of the season.
  4. Maybe where he sits has more legroom for his bad knee.
  5. I think using Seedorf as the scapegoat is ignoring the garbage from every single player before and after he entered the game.
  6. We stopped competing after 15 mins and fell away even more in the second half. Probably the poorest 45 mins from back to front I have seen from us since the Hearts cup tie.
  7. Accies long ball shitfest tactics succeed with a deflected equaliser. Motherwell players look like they have already headed to the airport.
  8. Only other thing I could suggest is try clicking the Backup Player button on the bottom right of the page. After that I've run out of ideas.
  9. Hearts avoid total self-destruction (despite their best efforts) and do us a favour by holding Aberdeen to a draw. EDIT: The old Texan beat me to it. I must have lost reaction time in the cold weather.
  10. I thought Scott had a decent first half (and Hylton should have scored from the ball that he chased down and put on a plate for him). We lost the tempo a wee bit though, and need to step it up again to the same intensity we had in the first 20 mins. Otherwise Accies might do what Chelsea have just done to Arsenal.
  11. If you're getting the commentary but not the pictures (I think) it thinks you have a paid subscription, but are viewing from the UK or Ireland. It might be cookies that are doing that (which is why I suggested the private or icognito windows - as that gets rid of the cookies). Or it might be that for whatever reason you are showing up as connected to a UK or Irish server. Try going to https://www.where-am-i.co/my-ip-location to see what is being identified as your current location.
  12. Make sure you are connected to a Norwegian server (and not through a UK server). Try running it in a private window (in Firefox) or Icognito window (in Chrome).
  13. Hearts taken the lead against Aberdeen, too.
  14. Goooal! The ref's having a mare already. Missed the Accies striker's hand ball. Missed Gallagher's blatant hand ball and gave us a free kick when Scott slipped.
  15. An early goal is the best way to kill off that game plan.
  16. I think that is probably true - which is why, although I'd hate to see both Carson and Gillespie leave, I'd be confident we could pick up a decent replacement from down south. Carson, Randolph and Ruddy (and even George Long) are good advertisements for how we can boost a career. I certainly wouldn't blame the club if they both leave. We offered them new deals in the summer - we still haven't found a way to force people to sign against their will.
  17. It's the modern game. Full backs aren't expected to tackle or have any defensive nous these days, as long as they are productive going forward. Look at Trent Alexander-Arnold yesterday being touted as the best right back in the world. Undoubtedly an excellent attacking player, but I'd say questionable defensive skills. I prefer my full backs to be good defenders first, but I know that is just the rant of an old man now
  18. It's about time we started charging Aberdeen for leasing our scouting system.
  19. The official site describes him as a "wide forward" who "adds pace and attacking power".
  20. I've always said the "back to haunt us" theory was well founded and made perfect sense; this is just another excellent example.
  21. Who says it's harder to play against 10 men? Great result to come from behind like that.
  22. Seedorf is still young and inexperienced. I have no idea if he will turn into the real deal, but he obviously has potential and I'm happy to have our coaching staff work on his development to see where that takes him. The "no real desire to be a footballer" I think is, at best, nonsense.
  23. Just watched County on Sportscene and apparently they were hit with the norovirus last week and struggling to field a team. So they have some justification for being so poor. We should have enough to win this though, even if they are at full strength. I'd start Polworth, but keep Scott in the line-up. Think we will win by a couple and keep ahead of Aberdeen. No video stream for this (audio only) which is a shame, so will likely end up watching an English game while listening to the game.
