  1. Who says it's harder to play against 10 men? Great result to come from behind like that.
  2. Seedorf is still young and inexperienced. I have no idea if he will turn into the real deal, but he obviously has potential and I'm happy to have our coaching staff work on his development to see where that takes him. The "no real desire to be a footballer" I think is, at best, nonsense.
  3. Just watched County on Sportscene and apparently they were hit with the norovirus last week and struggling to field a team. So they have some justification for being so poor. We should have enough to win this though, even if they are at full strength. I'd start Polworth, but keep Scott in the line-up. Think we will win by a couple and keep ahead of Aberdeen. No video stream for this (audio only) which is a shame, so will likely end up watching an English game while listening to the game.
  4. We'll be 3 up by that time in Dingwall, so no worries there To be fair, I think you need to stand off opponents a little more on plastic as they often need to take an extra touch to get the ball under control - so I wouldn't be too critical of that. As poorly as we manage the last 10 minutes sometimes, we came away with another clean sheet, so that is pleasing. Although I'm not sure why everyone was surprised at Brophy missing the target. He's only scored 3 league goals this season and even last season managed 5 less than Turnbull. Not that he's a bad player by any means. He's young and has potential - but with only one double digit season (11 goals) in his career to date, he's not what you'd call prolific at this stage.
  5. Also, to be fair, if Long hadn't touched the goal-bound shot when he was offside, we would have killed it off sooner.
  6. To be honest, I don't think Killie missed several great chances - despite some media reports to the contrary. They had to go for it after we went a goal up, but I thought our defence was OK overall. Probably missed Donnelly's influence at the end when we needed to defend a bit more.
  7. Never an easy place to win. Beat the team below us to leapfrog the team above us is a fine day at the office - and all while avoiding the new manager bounce.
  8. Scott showing how it's done there. Walk it to the flag, win the corner.
  9. I don't mind the high press. It's when we're in possession we seem to give it away too cheaply instead of playing the high percentage pass, and keeping it to the low risk areas of the pitch.
  10. It's no wonder Robinson is banging on every week about needing to see out games properly.
  11. Get in. Well deserved after Killie seem to have resorted to just hacking us in the 2nd half.
  12. Because there has to be at least 2 players between him and the goal. Usually one is the keeper, but it doesn't have to be. If you're interested in latest IFAB law:
  13. I think that would have been a goal if Long had left it.
  14. One of the problems with a plastic pitch. One minute a ball over the top skids miles way, the next it gets stuck in your feet.
  15. Pretty much going as I expected, with Killie defending tight and deep and scoring chances at a premium. We've looked most threatening when Scott and Hylton ran at their defence, so hopfeully we can step that up in the second half.
  16. Might mean we stop hitting every single corner into the same place now, too.
  17. Twice now we've opened them up with an injection of pace. Need a bit more of that.
  18. I have no problem with Murphy as a player or person. I would have concerns that someone his age, out for such a long time, and with zero game time, zero match fitness and questionable actual fitness could offer us much in the second half of the season. If we were taking him at the start of a pre-season it would be a different story.
  19. I imagine Turnbull will be fit again before Murphy. If we did take him, I hope it's a pay-for-play kind of deal because there is no evidence he will ever recover to anywhere near the level he was at before his injury.
  20. Scott has blown a bit hot (St Mirren) and cold (Hearts), but I'd start him for this game. In part, because he has spent half his youth career playing on plastic pitches.
  21. I was shocked at how poor Tait was in the Hearts cup game this season, as he had been one of our most consistent players. I had thought it was just a bad day at the office, but his subsequent appearances have been well below the standards he had set in previous years. He seems a bit young for age to have caught up with him, but there's no arguing he's been a yard off the pace any time he's played this season. (And I say this as someone who has been a big fan of Tait since he joined the club).
