  1. Despite Long's hat trick, I thought Campbell and Gallagher kept their form for the full 90. I don't vote for games I only watch on telly, but Campbell would have edged it for me. He drove a lot of our best play with his runs from deep, and had his usual quota of strong tackles.
  2. Sad to say that Tait still looks off the pace, and not the player he was last season.
  3. That's a decent shout. I always enjoyed a trip to Somerset Park.
  4. I expected Dundee to start the 1st half that way rather than 2nd half, but a decent showing and can't complain about a 3 - 0 cup win away from home against one of the better Championship teams. Hope Polworth's injury isn't too bad. It looked nasty in the replay.
  5. I don't think Gallagher has had to move any faster than a jog. He's strolled through the game again this evening.
  6. The new perfect hat trick - 1 massive deflection, 1 massively good finish, 1 massive goalkeeping error. Dundee are playing the same way this half as the season they were relegated. Some decent half chances without looking like scoring.
  7. Maybe because we have spent most of it defending (poorly) in our half - and Seedorf doesn't give him the service Hylton provides.
  8. Tait and Hartley both looking a bit rusty in defence.
  9. Perfect examples of what Polworth and Long are best at.
  10. Can Hartley stop trying to pass or shoot? Cheers.
  11. With Donnelly on the bench, I assume Campbell will drop a bit deeper instead. Almost time to get the bacon on for the rolls.
  12. I think that is a generous interpretation. The Record has inserted Rangers and Celtic in all its football articles as often as it can for as long as I can remember - and I remember reading it in the 70s. The OF has always been their target audience.
  13. Also, we did have games scheduled last season during the break, but for various reasons were called off leaving us high and dry. Dundee's game being cancelled last week has also levelled the playing field a bit more.
  14. I expect they have been training with tactics in mind to address this situation (maybe Campbell playing deeper, or Mugabi - or even Gallagher - taking over Donnelly's role). Danny Johnson scoring a late consolation in our 4 - 1 win, however, isn't too much of a concern
  15. That would make sense, although Randolph's latest move is to be the backup at West Ham.
  16. Official Twitter saying the game will be on MFC TV.
  17. Will probably end up like Randolph. Leave for free at the end of his contract then follow that up with a £5 million move and a £4 million move.
  18. Have you seen the footage? What's on it? Is the judge allowing it as evidence? What defence is being put up against it? Is video evidence sufficient for this specific charge or is corroboration required? Etc. etc. But keep speculating - it's really helpful.
  19. I know this is an crazy thought, but maybe wait for a trial (with facts and evidence and stuff) and an actual verdict, before sacking him.
  20. Agreed. But given he has plead not guilty, police confirmed there were no injuries and there hasn't been a trial or a verdict yet - I'd still contend that potentially life-changing injuries dished out by Gallagher and Quinn are more serious (from a criminal perspective. I'm not advocating in favour of domestic violence here!) Regardless, I hate the rush to judgement of the torch wielding social media mobs. The recent Carl Beech debacle is one extreme example of how these things turn into witch hunts. If he's found guilty, then we can start discussing his future.
  21. Paul Quinn was found guilty of beating a guy unconscious - and we made him club captain and let him keep playing. So history suggests we wouldn't let him go.
  22. Randolph completes his £4 million return to West Ham.
  23. No idea but we usually do a good job of injuring our own players during the break.
  24. Long's only on a one year deal, so any discussions with English clubs could be pre-contract for a Bosman in the summer.
