  1. Aye, no doubt on the ESPN stream I was watching. They had a replay that should him getting a finger to it.
  2. That's a sign you've been living in America too long.
  3. And not a bad save to help them win. Was watching the Accrington v Ipswich FA Cup game at the weekend and Conor Ripley help Accrington to a victory. (Ripley is on loan while Randolph keeps him out the Middlesborough team).
  4. The Oxford Guide to English Usage and Fowler's also prefer "ize". I know I'm old, but I was actually taught "ize" spellings at primary school.
  5. Once McCormack is fit, of course. Robinson was saying in the papers that he might not be available for the next few games.
  6. The good news is it's easier to teach someone to cross a ball than it is to teach them how to be fast.
  7. "Boi" originates from the comic collector world (where "Fanboi" was coined). So no problems with that either.
  8. Seems to fall under our "spent a chunk of his career injured, but has lots of potential" category.
  9. Oxford English Dictionary recommends "ize" due to the Latin and Greek origins of the suffix , so I'm happy to use them as a style guide.
  10. If fans are misbehaving "we" get to ban them from our ground. As fans, we also get to point them out to stewards if they cross the line (like the coin throwers and racist abusers at Tynecastle). But if you are OK with that behaviour, you can keep sitting on your hands.
  11. You're assuming that he's playing as a striker and not a defensive left wingback.
  12. You're right that we don't get to ask them not to vandalize stadiums. We get to tell them not to do that, and get to take action if they continue.
  13. Would have been safer for Hutchinson if he'd just skipped it.
  14. From his perspective, he's as well sitting on our bench as Hearts' bench.
  15. So he didn't just "refuse" to play?
  16. More the fact his contract renewal discussions have stalled.
  17. Apart from the constant abuse some fans feel the need to dish out every time he plays against us? The last Accies game I was at, the guy in front of me was screaming "Haw Imrie, yir Maw's a mattress" literally every 2 or 3 minutes. Of course, like any player, Imrie doesn't give a crap. On the other hand, I was ready to deck the guy by half-time.
  18. Was there not also the matter of canceling the loan deal in Australia?
  19. I know nothing about Lyndon Dykes other than what it says in Wikipedia, but 10 goals in 80+ doesn't fill me with confidence (even as an attacking midfielder) . Is he any good?
  20. If it's the same incident you are referring to, I heard the stand fiasco was a drunk Accies fan throwing a few haymakers without coming close to making a connection.
  21. If only there was a way we could take a break from playing for a few weeks and let him recover from any injuries and get back to fitness...
  22. It's all part of the fun of American sports franchises and salary rules. Nothing as simple as players having contracts with teams. I don't know all the gory details, but Vancouver had apparently to secure Rose's "MLS rights from Seattle" which they did by giving them $50,000 in "General Allocation Money." Aye, exactly. (I know even less about this than I do about baseball players being put on the waiver wire).
  23. I'm OK with the idea of a winter break - especially with the transfer window in action. Gives teams some time to regroup for the 2nd half of the season and let new signings bed in to a team. I think packing so many games into December instead, is stupid though. They could be spaced out more equally across the season (although the international breaks are making that more difficult I suppose). I'd rather get rid of the split than the winter break, but I think I'm in the minority there.
  24. I hope he does well, but I also hoped McLair would do well when he came back.
