  1. I hope he does well, but I also hoped McLair would do well when he came back.
  2. At his peak he offered much more than Moult. His peak years were probably at Leeds, but he's always been a talent as his transfer fees show (11 million to Fulham, 12 million to Aston Villa). Very skillful footballer and can take a great free kick. Haven't seen him play for a while, so no idea what level he's at these days, but imagine he can still put in a good shift. If you search for him on youtube there are a few compilations of his goals at Leeds and Fulham.
  3. Nobody doubted his ability, the concern was that we needed to replace the pace that we lost when Kipré left. That proved to be even more cruical when Dunne got injured. The goal we conceded today is a perfect example of our lack of pace at the back.

    No Calanders

That's pretty much exactly what I expect from a calendar.
  5. Apart from the general nightmarish injury situation, I'm disappointed we couldn't stick with that starting formation. I was really looking forward to see how that worked out, as it was something new. It's always a struggle to mentally re-adjust when you see a team mate get stretchered off like that, so I hope the half time break helps them.
  6. St Mirren lost again and Accies are 2 - 0 down to Hearts - so there is at least that.
  7. That's probably what Ben Hall thought too and his career in England so far is 5 games on loan for League 2 Notts County. I can see the temptation, of course, but timing is everything at that age.
  8. Main back on (not sure if he's 100%), Mbulu replaced by Grimshaw and Dunne taken to hospital. And all injuries appear to have been our own players clashing with each other.
  9. Last time I was there we turned up 45 mins early. Stewards were still giving out duff information and mishandling the queues.
  10. Now Mbulu took a crack on the head and Main is down injured after a head knock.
  11. Can't catch a break. Dunne / McHugh head clash has seen Dunne stretchered off and McHugh off (looking concusssed). On top of that our 3-4-1-2 shape has had to change and, of course, we used 2 subs already. Bad day all round.
  12. It's the only way those useless stewards can guarantee some work.
  13. That was the plan, wasn't it? But his move out the club fell through, if the stories are to be believed. That leaves us with the option of paying someone to not play, or make use of him as we see fit. I agree his attitude was terrible. Better he admitted it and addressed the issue, however, than he just downed tools until he got a move (looking at you Marvin J).
  14. Turnbull looking the most likely to create something. Main still looking the most likely to miss anything Turnbull creates.
  15. Too many years spent training as a defender to head it away from the goals.
  16. Not just back on the commentary, but for some reason, doing most of the commentary.
  17. The video stream is - it's part of the Motherwell TV package. The Mixlr stream of continuous moans about the ref while ignoring the play on the pitch is available to all.
  18. I've just had to turn it off after another 60 second rant about the ref.
  19. Unlistenable. He's literally moaning about the ref more than once per minute right now.
  20. If you don't know the difference between a conscious decision to rotate, and "not knowing what our best starting 11 is" then it's a pointless discussion. Robinson was very clear last season that mistakes were made with his selections around cup games and when we played Celtic 3 times in a week. He was also very clear that last December, persisting with injured first team starters was a failure, and not having the backups of the necessary quality (and readiness) was another key failing. But don't let all that insight interfere with your spreadsheet.
  21. Probably the same masterminds that were behind their 800,000 bank fraud.
