  1. We never play well after a break - we're the kind of team that needs to be playing competitive games every week. Not unique in that by any means, but not totally surprised we were slow starters today. I also suspect that, as Wimmer said after the first game, the players were still thinking about their additional instructions rather than playing instinctively, and that leads to hesitation and errors. Robinson, however, continues to drag football into the 19th Century.
  2. Looks like Robinson's teams still haven't earned the right to "play football" Meanwhile, take your pick...
  3. "If true" is the classic phrase of the internet troll. "I just heard Keir Starmer is going to ban Scottish football fans from attending live games. Outrageous, if true". Basically just a mechanism for spouting nonsense. Given that Maswanhise played 25 minutes at Dundee and zero minutes at Ibrox, it's a pretty long rest he's getting.

    Retro Kits

It was. Almost completely "amber", with a claret trim and the cursive MFC for a badge.

    Retro Kits

I started going to games in the 1970-71 season and we only had one season with a hoop (73 - 74) between then and 1984. And, of course, no hoop when we won the cup. The diagonal stripe is the most memorable one from my formative 'Well supporting seasons, and many of my favourite players wore it. I also liked the white Admiral change kit form the 1970's with the vertical claret and amber stripe. So while I like to see a hoop, it never formed a part of my original Fir Park experiences.
  6. I broke my wrist years ago when I fell over in the snow. So little pain involved that I thought I had just sprained it. Turned out the scaphoid bone was fractured and required a bone graft and a titanium screw, because that bone doesn't have much of a blood supply and often won't heal on it own. It was in a cast for 4 or 5 weeks and the surgery damaged all the nerves in my hand - I couldn't even touch the tip of my thumb to the tip of my index finger. I couldn't have played football for about a month after that as any contact to my hand, or worse, falling on it, might have damaged the recovery. And that was a nothing break.
  7. So you're prediciting a St Mirren win, then?
  8. Page turned the day he left. Let it go.
  9. If he can find us another Mika Biereth, I'm OK with that. I doubt it's too difficult for a scout to identify individuals that suit different managers' preferences, so while I'm not against a change, I'm not sure it would make a whole lot of difference. Especially with the data driven approach clubs like to take these days.
  10. We dodged a bullet as no doubt Rangers would have insisted on jnstallsments and then stiffed us when they were liquidated.
  11. Ben Hall and Henri Anier made up for that shortfall.
  12. No doubt. I'm under no illusion that Miller or Johnston will get any game time, but from a selfish perspective just being in the squad should add a few more quid to Miller's value.
  13. Max Johnston back in the squad too.
  14. He was, but as he was young academy product and under 21 it meant, if the clubs were agreeable, we could make that kind of deal I believe. Else, they would use the dreaded formula to give us a development fee. Or I could be a mile oot.
  15. Didn't McCormack make us a few quid too? Kipré did I believe. And a big move for Max Johnston likely will. Not sure about Turnbull.
  16. True about add-ons. I was thinking more about initial fees. I agree 10 million is nothing to EPL clubs, but given that Mika left Arsenal for 4 million there can be quite a of variation in valuations.
  17. 10 million likely too high, but 4 million is defintely too low.
  18. I'm starting to think there must be a version of Winter Wonderland I've never heard of.
  19. My biggest fear that season was when we won the away game against Celtic shortly before the cup semi. I was concerned we wouldn't win two games in Glasgow on the bounce. When Ferguson hit the bar in the first semi I thought that was our chance gone. Thankfully, I was proved very wrong.
  20. Two wins, one draw and one loss, in our league games against Celtic that season too. One draw and win against Celtic in the Cup. Not too shabby.
  21. The way UEFA and FIFA are hellbent on expanding every competition, it won't be long until East Fife are qualified to play in Europa 2.0 Challenge Trophy League Medal Shield.
  22. But Barry does just enough to be appointed on a full time basis
