I'm surprised all the Rose haters still haven't noticed Robinson actually likes him as a player and has made him a regular starter. Obviously he is rated by the gaffer and there is zero chance of him being punted. He might choose to leave, of ocurse, but that's a different story.

I suspect the Motherwell FC video captured it too. I don't know what TV evidence was required though. Hartley received a red card and nobody else did. If the referee and linesman submitted a report to that effect that they saw the incident and deemed no other action necessary, that's case closed. I also don't buy in to the conspiracy theory that the Compliance Officers only review things highlighted by Sportscene. Time to move on from this one and hope Hartley has learned his lesson. If you publicly and intentionally wind players up in interviews prior to games (and, let's face it, he obviously dishes out the verbals during games too), you need to be able to handle it when your opponent got the better of you and dishes it back.

From what I saw at the game, Hartley was the only one that should have been punished. He should have been down the tunnel by that point, not getting involved in the Accies celebrations in the Accies half. It was 100% his fault he was suspended - nothing to do with the BBC.

You know Frear was signed in January 2017? Before Robinson took over in Feb 2017 and was made permanent in March 2017? Also, it takes 2 to 3 years to rebuild a team. Also also, targets are identified by our scouting system - and some of them (like Ciftci) have been on our radar since McCall was in charge?

Cadden shouldn't be allowed anywhere near right back. Not that he can't manage to fill that role, just that our midfield is much weaker without him and we miss his forward runs.

There has been zero indication we're bringing in a left back. The only time I have heard full backs mentioned by Robinson, it has always been for the right side.

If you want to play stats - Docherty has 8 goals in 108 games, Cadden has 13 goals in 102 games. Not sure what that says about either, but stats are fun.

Exactly this. If you think OF bias is bad now (which it is), when Joe was at his peak, the bias was 10 times worse. If there was a Rangers or Celtic option for the national team, they were always going to be preferred. If there wasn't, then it was off to the English leagues to pick someone. Not that guys like Sandy Jardine and Danny McGrain were bad players - but they were both right backs, and Joe was easily their equal at worst.

I guess who comes in next depends on our targets' immediate availability. If we have guys lined up for the summer window, it might mean more short term loan-type deals this window. Looking forward to see what Ciftci can offer. If he wants to put himself in the shop window, he could be quite productive.
