This thread has turned into Fox News and Pizzagate.

The officials' performances are reviewed and can result in corrective action. They just don't make it very public.

I don't believe Thomson smirked because he sent off Cedric (if he smirked at all). That is well into the realm of paranoia that I think we need to avoid. Better to focus on what we can control, and that involves things like stringing a few passes together and scoring goals. Both of which we struggled with on Sunday.
-
If we'd scored a goal before they did, we might have got on better - regardless of the referee.
-
Video evidence would make no difference. It would just mean there was a 2 minute delay before the OF were awarded their dodgy penalties.
-
Mind you, if I call it "On the Ball" instead of "Off the Ball" I'm starting to doubt my general mental state.
-
As someone mentioned earlier, it feels like refs just won't give a penalty unless a player goes down. The message that sends is "go down every time there's contact." Personally, I'd apply retroactive bans to all divers - starting at about 10 games. That's how much I hate it.
-
You're right. I either misheard the them saying that on On The Ball at the weekend, or they were talking bollocks. Next question is if you had to choose a game to beat them, would it be at Fir Par or on their turf?
-
Nah, different game under different circumstances (and probably different line-ups). Would be nice if we ended their unbeaten run, as we were the last team to beat them before it started. I'm a big fan of symmetry,

The time to take a stand against diving was about 40 years ago. It's part of the game now, and will be difficult to stamp out even with draconian measures like retrospective bans. There are obvious exceptions, but there are so many grey areas it makes it difficult to police. Falling over when your shirt is tugged, intentionally tripping over a defender's outstretched leg, knocking the ball past a player then running into them etc. It's my number one pet peeve in the game, especially as we know which teams are going to get more benefits of the doubt in their favour.

I often disagree with Ya Bezzer's comments, but I'm with him on this. We coped reasonably well with Celtic in the first half, but didn't really threaten. Dodgy pen or not, when they scored the first we were in trouble. Didn't quite hit the heights we have in some other games this season and looked like the occasion got to a few as we struggled to string consecutive passes together at times. Played well enough not to get hammered, but not quite well enough to look like we'd nick it. Onwards and upwards to the next crack at them. Will require a little more guile, but we have players that offer that if we play them.
-
Aye, definite signs of nerves in possession. Hopefully we'll grow into it the second half like we did against Rangers.
-
Did you fix it? Now it's half-time I had time to upload a picture of what I'm talking about.

There should be a small 'x' on the video somewhere you can click. On that site I normally get 2. One grey and white above the HD ad to the right. And one red and white above the ad to the left. Clicking might open a new tab or window (which you can immediately close).

If Celtic play their best, they could score 5 or 6. It's no coincidence, however, that when we have been beating teams like Aberdeen or Rangers the match reports are full of how bad they were. We have players and tactics that make good teams struggle. We are rightly the underdogs, but I can't imagine many pundits thought Scotland would score 53 points against the Australians today. That's the beauty of sport - you always have a chance.

A good adblocker is something like "ublock origin" - it works on Chrome and Firefox. Download before the game and you should be good to go.

The step up between the Championship and the Premiership is one quite a few players struggle to make. Right now Moore is playing well in League One. He looked like he had the talent when he was banging them in for our U20s, and would be happy for him if he does get back up to the top flight. Time will tell if he can finally breakthrough at that level.

I seem to recall that after a few posters chastised him over the sectarain use of "Taig" we finally pushed him over the edge by suggesting drug addicts should be rehabilitated rather than sent to an island and never allowed to return.

There are many share issues that offer no dividends or financial rewards. There are even some that don't even offer voting rights. As far as I can tell, you do get voting rights with the Motherwell shares. In the future, the club could offer to buy them back - in which case you might make a profit on them. Although that's less likely.

cricfree.sc works for me on my laptop - there will be a game link on there, or you can just hit the BT Sport 1 link in the left menu. Use of an adblocker highly recommended. If you have an Android Phone or Tablet, the Mobdro app is my streaming app of choice.

I think you're right. The conditions he has put around his loan and the repayments have all been very much to the benefit of the club. From the restructuring of the operations, the business model and the community works, to encouraging more members and donations to the Well Society. The success we're having this season is due to a few factors. The biggest one, in my opinion, is the foundation Les has built when he injected his cash.

I'm not deluding myself. Celtic are comfortably the best team in the league and will beat us 7 or 8 times out of 10. Just hoping this game is one of the other 2.
-
I disagree. There will be more Celtic fans moaning when we win the Cup than are moaning about tonight.
-
The only game that matters there is their home game against Anderlecht next month (where a draw will guarantee Europa League).
-
Meaningless game for Celtic tonight. They are more concerned about the Cup Final. Will be a different proposition at Hampden. (Still funny to see them ship 7, right enough).
