  1. If we rule out managers that have been sacked (especially if we don't want to pay compensation) it will be a pretty short list.
  2. Duffy would be a good shout. Robinson would be a big risk.

    Boycott ?

I've boycotted every game so far this season and don't expect this will change with a new manager in place at the weekend.
  4. If he loses the next 3, then no.
  5. You're right - I remember that one now. Seriously jammy.
  6. I'm not sure Robinson has the track record we're looking for in turning around a struggling team. I also don't remember us being too clever defensively the last time he was here. I suppose we'll see what he can offer in the next few games.
  7. I'd like to think we'd do a Leicester now and turn in a performance. From memory, however, our record with interim managers seems to be a string of defeats - although I'd be delighted if my memory is failing on that one. Maybe a boring 1 - 1 to settle the nerves.
  8. I did mean that. Just a poor choice of words with "graduate". Jules obviously has the least amount of hours in the U20s, but the other 3 have clocked up a few.
  9. Graduate was the wrong word, but they all have U20 time under their belt - I didn't mean to imply they came through the ranks.
  10. Most of Saturday's defence are current U20 players or very recent graduates.
  11. That's an insightful and detailed opinion. I'd be interested in your legal/financial review of the situation. Any other gems you care to share? I'm guessing you support some other team, because if the Society that owns the club disappears, so does the club.
  12. For all the calamity in the defence yesterday, we have as many problems up the other end of the pitch. From the start of the season we have struggled to score more than 1 goal in a game, and in this league, you aren't winning games like that.
  13. He always had a bit of pace, he was just needing to bulk up a little - which has now. Would be delighted to see him get promoted to the top flight as it would be a great example to our youngsters on how to time and manage moves for success.
  14. Fans are just as bad at assessing managerial talent as they are playing talent. If it ever does come to picking a new gaffer I'd prefer someone based on skills and track record over "I liked him as a player". Some short memories in here regarding the quality of performances under Butcher - not to mention the lies about his departure.

    Boycott ?

We own the club. If there was enough dissent among the owners we could force a change. I don't think there is, and I wouldn't want to at this stage, but not a fan of taking money out of the club when they need are in need of support.
  16. We punch above our weight, but, never rise to the occasion. Ex players always score against us. We never do well against a team with a new manager. Any team on a losing streak always breaks it against us. It's amazing we still exist as a club, never mind get any points. As for our recent 2nd and 3rd league finishes, they were reported by the BBC and obviously fake news.
  17. And they won this one. But apart from that, it was a pretty fair assessment.
  18. You can take the man away from "crap performances against Rangers" but you can't take "crap performances against Rangers" away from the man. (although, TBF, Laing did do OK in the play-off).
  19. It would be if anyone was doing that. A regular poster since 2008 responding to multiple people in multiple threads of interest is hardly stalking, though.
  20. It must be a miserable experience following a team that gives you bad feelings every week.
  21. I'd also leave McHugh in mid. Jules in to replace McManus and Chalmers at left back. I know he's not exactly some fans' favourite, but he's adequate in that slot and I prefer that to putting a right footer in there.
  22. No controversy here - 100% red card for linking to the Daily Mail.
  23. One the reasons it has had so much coverage (outwith the fact it was against Celtic) is the big song and dance we made - not unjustifiably - about the McHugh and Skippy red cards. We were always going to be under more scrutiny after that, waiting for someone to "get away" with one.
