Parking the bus against Celtic is pretty pointless. Their strength is up top. We need to protect the ball with smart possession and take the game to them. Any time we beat them it's been with controlled aggression. Plus, it makes for a more entertaining game.

People think he's useless based on a couple of U20 appearances.

He was a first team regular last season, but any time I have checked this season he seems to be coming off the bench.

I don't think he's being clever, I think he's genuinely unsure what the best formation is with the new players. Having said that, I think he's proved the current front 3 doesn't work. If he wants to persist with that formation, I think one of them needs to be a wide man with a bit of pace - which means Ainsworth. Seemed to be pretty poor across the board tonight, though.

The authorities are very consistent. They always take a softer line against Rangers and Celtic than they do against smaller clubs. The reason for that are many but include the fact that a significant number of those in power are fans of the clubs in question and/or don't want to upset them for various reasons. It will always be that way.

Another one of those players we moved on and disappeared of the radar until he came crawling back for a 2nd spell.

Skippy's tactic seems to be miss preseason while negotiating a new deal then not get fully fit until November. Still happy to have him in the team, though. McFadden, I'm not too concerned about as he is only ever going to be a bit-part player at best.

Do we know it ws definitely offside that was given and not some other weird offence? Any decision would be poor, but offside seems so wrong, maybe he flagged for an obstruction or something (still wrong, but not as wrong as the offside)

Just in case your not sure about Moult, hesis a goal scorer. He wasn't fit when he scored 4, so not an unreasonable risk to play him again, even unfit. Chalmers stepping up is a good thing. As injured players return, were going to have strength on the bench too.

Pretty much on the same page. With the early League Cup games, international break and ins and outs of the transfer window - not to mention the unfortunate injuries to Blyth, McHugh, Kennedy, Moult etc. its been a bit of a stop/start season. I think McGhee was right when he said after the window closed that it's almost like we are starting the season again at that stage. Looking forward to see how the new guys bed in over the coming weeks and seeing if we are able to promote one or two of our youngsters.

I think we missed Chalmers yesterday too.

McGhee said Moult injured a hammy when he stepped on his wean's toy and couldn't train all week. Didn't even expect him to play today.
