  1. No more reading Ins & Outs until August.

  2. They'd be mad if they did given the jersey is probably the most visible part of any deal.
  3. Yes, it seems the new owner is on board with spending relatively small amounts of money on prospects that we can sell on for a profit.
  4. We should let him out of his contract with the agreement that St. Johnstone give us 5k for every Euro goal Sutton scores, plus a 50k payment if they make it to the group stages.
  5. Would be nice if we could bring back Marinello, Graham and Pettigrew along with the diagonal. (You can keep the ploughed field version of Parkhead, though).
  6. Needs a full summer of trolling behind them to sharpen up the hooks.
  7. You'd think they would at least make a few posts before fishing.
  8. The way McCall set us up, any decent striker should have been picking up double figures every season. He had his faults tactically, but he typically set his team up with pace and width to supply plenty of crosses for Higdon and Sutton. Baraclough likes his wide men too, so I imagine any new striker should be able to capitalize on that.
  9. An asterisk shirt? That would be a real sign of the times.
  10. Did Sutton not score goals under Baraclough? Regardless, the McDonald / Erwin combination worked quite well from the perspective of developing our youngsters (and winning the play off), and I expect to see more of that in the next couple of seasons. So be prepared to be disappointed if you are expecting to see a barrel load of the finished article being signed over the summer.
  11. As others have said, it's really a diagonal rather than a sash because it doesn't continue round the back.
  12. Sorry, didn't meant to get anyone's hopes up or be all secret squirrel; just meant Pearson extending his contract.
  13. Well, we have one new signing and one re-signing already. But most players and agents are away on holiday this time in June and decisions don't start getting made until after that.
  14. Porter was probably the most recent. Edit: it's early here too and I didn't notice the 3,456 other people that beat me to it. I have no idea if the Johnson rumours are true, but our past transfer dealings are irrelevant now that Les is running the show. He has a complete different business model in place and I expect to see a few more money making deals over the coming months,
  15. He just signed a new contract with Partick Thiftle
  16. A youngster had one bad game. An experienced forum member has multiple poor posts. Which one should we punt?
  17. Aye, it was a great interview - complete contrast from the "We need some luck and hope Rangers aren't at their best" approach we typically got from McCall. The fact Baraclough had experience of competing and winning in these situations, I think, is something that was overlooked in the pre-match. His enthusiasm and positivity definitely rubbed off on the team and helped them rise to the occasion.

Better players like Billy Sharp (33 games, 5 goals)? Skippy could get a game with that Leeds team no problem.
  19. MFC Twitter, in response to a question, hinted Skippy was one of the individuals we were speaking to.

It's not that it won't happen. It's that it will more likely be slower and higher risk.

At the Q&A the club said the Development Fee formula includes a % for each future transfer.

Well he won't be playing against St Mirren, but he will develop from playing first team football as opposed to sitting on the bench or playing-non competitive reserve matches. That's why we'd rather have our youngsters play competitive games for Alloa than U20 games.

I think it's far too soon for the boy to be moving on. He's still very raw and needed the old head of a Skippy to keep him on the right track. He'd have been much better off with first team football for another season at least. Add to that that the current Leeds ownership is pretty sketchy and there will likely be a new manager in there 6 months from now who might not take a shine to Erwin, and it's a big risk. Also, as I mentioned in other threads, disappointed he bolts at the first opportunity after we stood by him through 2 long term injuries. But, we'll take the money, move on and see if he's one of those rare early transfers that makes a name for themselves.
