  1. Watson's team was terrible - played 36, won 4... and I'm not sure how we managed that many wins. Although, to be fair, the slide started when Wallace was in charge. It did lead to wee Tommy taking over too, so it ended well.
  2. It's no skin of their nose - they just build it in to the selling price.
  3. It's also quite telling you think "Kilmarnock was our last home win on the 26th of August 2023".
  4. Nicholson plays wide left, and Gent and Halliday can fill the left back spot if needed. So I'd say less of a need there than striker (if we're prioritising). Given that no team is going to hand over a productive first team striker, I'm hoping we are looking at more Biereth-type loan options.
  5. It's the internet equivalent of sitting in the East Stand or, for people my age, standing in the East Terrace. Luckily we didn't have the internet during the first Premier League season of Tommy McLean or any of our relegation seasons. You don't know what a bad team is until you've seen a team get relegated and then finish 6th in the First Division.
  6. No point relying on VAR to cover up our terrible defending at the corner. Played better after that though, despite St Johnstone's usual anti-football efforts. If we can bring in another striker or two we should be in decent shape.
  7. In one game, Bair equals his season total for Saints. Discuss (without using the word 'haunt') Also, take your pick...
  8. If Levein was playing tomorrow his immediate plan would be to try and crock Bair. I'd guess he'll be instructing his team to do the same.
  9. We're also here because Biereth was unexpectedly recalled from a season long loan. An excellent striker who was also a signing made by SK.
  10. We've got Gent, Halliday and Nicholson that can operate on the left side of the team in various full back/wing back combos. O'Donnell can play there at a push too. So while it would be a blow, it's not as bad as if we ended the window with one striker. On a related note, I heard the other day that hamstring injuries in the EPL are up around 47% this season. There is a theory that VAR is responsible to some degree. Partly, because players are having to stop for a few minutes multiple times per game and stand around without warming up again, and partly because games are being extended to 100+ minutes putting extra strain on tired muscles and ligaments.
  11. Rarely seen? I'm pretty sure you have posted the exact same complaint about McGhee, McCall, Baraclough, Robinson, Alexander and Hammell (to name just a few). You must be raging that you can't blame this on 'Flow.
  12. While SK and the team relax in their cigar smoke filled board room, drinking cocktails and cackling manically as their master plan comes to fruition. Of course, they might be working on finalising deals for a couple more strikers, but that makes for a pretty boring social media narrative.
  13. Missed out on that deal - he signed for Calais Thistle.
  14. But we are the Motherwell FC. We hate the Hearts AND we hate Dundee!!
  15. There's a rumour we are keen to sign him However, that linked article also reports that St Mirren, Dundee and Ross County are in the hunt.
  16. I think SK might be aware, but after losing Slattery and Spencer, we also needed to fill those spots.
  17. Just tell them you're a new signing and you'll get a seat on the bench.
  18. A statistician, Dr Ian Graham, made the claim that, statistically speaking, over 50% of ‘big transfers’—defined in this case as those over £10m in terms of fee—fail. I'd bet that in our market that number is even higher.
  19. A few posters on here need some lessons on reverse image searching.
  20. Would be the most boring cup in football if lower league teams never beat higher league opposition. In England, the FA Cup throws up those kind of results every season. Even teams like Man City have suffered that fate in recent times.
  21. My prediction for this game is that it will rain.
  22. Yir either too young to be drinking or too auld to be reading The Beano...
