I think you might be right.
-
The fitness team will be taking care of that.
-
I would have thought their respective agents came calling too. That's how it usually works these days.

From what he said in interviews, he had contact with Skippy and Pearo during his time down south. Whether that counts as his signing or not I don't know. A couple of thing that stand out for me though are that he is more willing to give our youngsters a chance, and he'll make subs or change tactics early enough in a game to make a difference. Was always going to take time for new signings to bed down - time will tell if it was soon enough.

Aye, it's nice to see the gaffer set the team up to go out and win "must-win" games by attacking.
-
To quote JJ (again) - the boy has continental feet.
-
If County and 'Well keep winning, we'll both be safe. Starting to close the gap on 9th.
-
Amazing what a we bit of confidence does to a team. A yard quicker and more options available for every pass.
-
You can have bucket loads of skill or be Kenny Miller. You can't be both.
-
Step it up the 2nd half see if we can make a bigger dent on goal difference - give Ross County something to think about.
-
Now we've stopped punting high balls to him, he can do his thing.
-
I'm watching on the BT stream on Mobdro and seeing the same.

Johnson returns to starting 11. Motherwell: Long, McManus, Ainsworth, Lasley, Law, Erwin, Johnson, Straker, Laing, Pearson, McDonald Motherwell subs: Twardzik, Ramsden, Sutton, O'Brien, Moore, D.Thomas, Grant

I don't care if Gow scores a hat trick - as long as we win.
-
Nope. It's like selective amnesia. We haven't had an easy game this season. No reason this will be any different.
-
Hey - 50+ doesn't mean you have to be miserable.

This. Plus, sometimes the opposition has good players that can beat ours. The upside from all this is we made adjustments and went on to win. Was interesting to hear Gary Locke say how bringing on Sutton changed the game too, as he proved to be a handful for his defence. Overall, enjoyed watching the highlights on Alba last night.

If our central defenders can't deal with high balls being pumped into the box all night, they should take up knitting. Should be meat and drink for them.
-
Too much whataboutery going on to be worried at this stage. Could still be Hibs or whoever that make it through - especially if McCall adopts his 'big match' tactics in the play-off rounds.
-
The common factor for Nielsen, Long, Twardzik and Hollis is that they have all played behind a dodgy defence. I'm sure that doesn't help them any more than their errors help any of our defenders. McCall set us up to score more goals than we lost. When we stopped scoring we were never a team that could shut down a game and keep things tight.

Dan isn't as good as people made him out to be and was disappointed when we signed him. Long isn't as bad a some make him out to be. Between the 2 it's a tough call, but as quick as people are to point out his mistakes he has his moments too - his save against ICT just before half time probably won the game for us and helped us on our current run. Just on the principal of not changing a winning team, I'd keep him in for now.
-
A win would be ideal, but even if we do win, the dog fight starts for real after the split. Think we'll be good for 3 points though, and I'd rather be playing St. Mirren now, when their nerves might kick in, than when they are definitely relegated and the pressure is off and letting them play without fear.
-
That is a great example of my post earlier in tbe thread. Erwin's play there cost us a goal as much as Long's mistake. Long will take pelters for his error, but Erwin gets MotM. For me, they should both be cut a break. Glad to see big Lee get his goal though - well deserved.
-
I'm sure they think the same about us.
-
Forget County. We can look to catch them after the split. We need to focus on winning this game today.
