  1. The English lower non-leagues even have sponsorship, so for us to have none is pathetic.
  2. Guys like McCall talk up our game far more than Doncaster. I can't see how the top tier think he is doing a good job, but I can see how the lower tiers are fine with it as they have probably seen some benefit from the new structure and financing.
  3. TBF, the first 2 on that list had the talent - unfortunately, they are complete bangers (even by footballing IQ standards).
  4. I'm no Doncaster fan, but to be fair he had some sucess with Norwich. However, I'm afraid he came north with a fairly typical (or stereotypical) English view of the Scottish game as being diddy, where only the OF were important. We really needed an evangelist, but we ended up with an apologist.
  5. MBA, solicitor, Chief Exec at Norwich when they were promoted to the EPL and board member of the FA and the Football League.
  6. Is that a real 6ft or a "height for the official stats" 6ft that keepers have been known to tell porkies about.
  7. That's called the "Nielsen Effect".
  8. Michael Fraser released by Ross County for all those on here looking for a replacement keeper.
  9. I was a fan of big Chris, but a Porter/Sutton strike force would not fill me with confidence.
  10. Once you go mak, you never go back.
  11. It's crazy, but why would Sky (or BT) up their deal if they get what they want at a discount?
  12. Guys like Doncaster need to shoulder the blame for the latest deal. Their English counterparts do a great job talking up their product. What did Doncaster do? Spent his time spreading scare stories about how the SPL without Rangers would be a disaster and unsaleable, and how the quality of our game would take a hit etc. etc.
  13. Was that Stuart Rafferty that scored in that game? I think I was there.
  14. Paul Mills against Dunfermline at East End Park after going down to 10 men and a horror show from the ref.
  15. Given Big Gunnar's contacts at Man City, maybe that's who we should adopt as a partner.
  16. Good news, and a promising start to the summer signings. Seems like, as promised, we have been making our offers earlier and setting the deadlines so we can take care of business ASAP.
  17. If I have this correct, I think the answer to your question is 'No'. Our post-split sequences since it was first introduced: 2000-01: LLLWD (4 pts) 2001-02: DLLWW (7 pts) 2002-03: DLLLW (4 pts) 2003-04: LLLDL (1 pt) 2004-05: LDDLW (5 pts) 2005-06: LDLWD (5 pts) 2006-07: LDLLD (2 pts) 2007-08: LLWDW (7 pts) 2008-09: LWDWL (7 pts) 2009-10: LWLDD (5 pts) 2010-11: DLLDL (2 pts) 2011-12: LWWDL (7 pts) 2012-13: WWLWL (9 pts) 2013-14: DLWWW (10 pts)
  18. Lucky Craig Reid didn't cop the same attitude when we bounced him and then invited him back.
  19. Forget all that. The week Aberdeen kick off their Europa Cup campaign, just have a few 'Well players send them a postcard from a beach somewhere with a friendly "Wish You Were Here?"
  20. Seem to be too old (and too expensive) to fit in to the new strategy at Tynecastle.
  21. Ins and Outs is a fine place to talk about ins and outs. Moaning in a match thread about a keeper who has just kept a clean sheet in our most important league game of the season is just being miserable for the sake of it.
  22. 100% agree and it's one of my pet peeves that in recent seasons that kind of incident goes unpunished much more often than not. Thankfully, it didn't cost us this time.
  23. I'd love to know who you regard as being a happy clapper.
  24. McCall said he learned from last year and everyone offered a new deal will have to respond by a deadline or walk on.
