  1. It'll come to you; just keep taking the tablets.
  2. That comment deserved more.
  3. Maybe just use VAR in OF derbies with a panel of ex-players, and let the rest of us ditch it completely.
  4. As bad as Nevin was as CEO, the man who appointed him should take most of the blame.
  5. Fans are becoming more and more impatient when comes to giving time for players to develop (and coaches to develop them). Watching players develop over the course of a season is one of my favourite parts of supporting a team like ours. I shouldn't be surprised when fans complain about a new recruit after 2 or 3 games, but sometimes it feels like they have no idea about the game - even though we have countless examples of players that turned out to be good (or great) after months of good coaching and first team exposure. There's always lots of chat about how we need to give youngsters a chance, yet guys like Bair and Slattery who were 22 and 23 when they joined us are expected to be at their peak, despite accepting Motherwell level wages. Of course, there are times when it doesn't work out. Even players with bags of skill and potential can fail; especially when they aren't prepared to learn (looking at you Dom Thomas), but there's needs to be a bit more realism when it comes to recruitment. It's different when we are signing a 27 year old, but when we are signing players with only a season (or less) behind them it's never going to be about instant success. And having written all that, I know nothing will change and 2 or 3 of our summer recruits will be written off as useless by September.
  6. It certainly was. The manner of defeat was just a bonus.
  7. The Aberdeen result was pretty hilarious too.
  8. "What first attracted you to millionaire John Boyle?"
  9. The lunchtime beer was particularly sweet today. Also glad to see Sportscene didn't give the Casey tackle any more time than it deserved.
  10. Almost like the good old days when McLair beat the Old Firm twice in eleven days.
  11. Take your time, we're open until next Saturday.
  12. Even from 3000 miles away I can hear the scribbles of furious letter writing in the Rangers board room.
  13. Nice try, Rangers VAR, nice try. Take your pick...
  14. Maybe they didn't care one way or the other. I don't remember seeing an "Either" option.
  15. That's pretty standard in the club ownership business. The other model is for the owner themselves to run it into the ground.
  16. I wasn't that surprised in the turnout. When the Society was launched, I recall a lot of members saying they were joining to support the club, but had no real desire to participate in the running (which is fair enough). I was a little surprised by the nearly 2 to 1 vote in favour of giving up ownership. Unless we find some generous benefactor who isn't expecting much of a return of investment, it feels like the road to a new Morrison's and an Excelsior Stadium ground share. Boyle just about killed us off, and he was a fan.
  17. Lucky he had that secret extension then or we could have had a Warnock or Levein making no difference whatsoever to our performances.
  18. Life in plastic, it's fantastic... Take your pick
  19. We're 3rd (joint) highest scorers in the league. That's not the root of our problems.
  20. If St Mirrren keep performing at that level they'll be down beside us soon.
  21. Whoever selected this for a Sky broadcast must have been sniffing the pellets from Livi's pitch. Zero entertainment and a narrow win for us.
  22. Ah, the fine margins between an afternoon of happiness and a week of unreadable complaints. Take your pick...
