  1. MFC TV typically has their own footage, although once in a while they just post BBC Alba's video up instead. The Ross County highlights looked like they were from the club's camera, but I didn't see the Vigurs piece on there either.
  2. It would have been great for McCall to add a Cup win with us to his CV, but he has certainly exceeded all my expectations with his time at the club. His entire approach to the game has made us an attractive team to watch - of course, with the downside that when it's not working it can be painful. I believe, however, that statistically he is now our most successful postwar manager for the top division. His other great attribute is his media relations. He always comes across upbeat and enthusiastic, and he continually tries to talk up the Scottish game - both at our club and our opponents. He has certainly made mistakes (learned from some and not from others) but his successes outweigh those and I would be very happy for him to sign an extension for another year or two.
  3. He's certainly made all the right noises about wanting to stay and seems to have found a place where he can secure regular first team football - so still hopeful he will be here next season.
  4. In all the interviews I have seen/heard Ainsworth give he has been saying how much he is enjoying his football here and how he would like to extend his time at the club. Given how much McCall likes to play with a pacy winger, I'm hopeful Lionel will take a deal for next season.
  5. Cooper was a great asset to that team, no doubt. Wee Tommy assembled that squad from back to front and started off making us hard to beat. Adding guys like Russell transitioned us to a more attacking force, and DC was icing on the cake. I remember when he became available that a move to Hearts seemed most likely. Then, I was reading the Evening Times at Argyle Street station and saw he had joined us. Was delighted at the time, and the Russell/Cooper combination was a joy to watch at times.
  6. Here you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExVZHRiE3Zk&list=PLAmNSUlUap5sNWgDy9_dL5HkD7mwHgEII
  7. Just watched the highlights. Vigurs strike was a screamer and Faddy did well to finish it off as he had to hit it back across himself with his weaker foot. Not as easy as he made it look. Moore's shot totally deceived Brown with the movement he got on it. Nice to see quality efforts from outside the box.
  8. Like Law, Higdon, Randolph, Hateley, Henrik etc. when he goes, he goes and the club will carry on regardless. And if he goes to Sevco, we can make fun of him when we finish above them on their return to the SPFL (or administration -whatever comes first).
  9. Sevco wanting Hutch is not the same as Hutch wanting Sevco.
  10. The world will end and there will be no more European football.
  11. Some pass for the first goal. Ainsworth running at full speed didn't even have to break his stride.
  12. I don't think they are hiding anything. The month estimate was before they operated and could see the extent of the damage. Since then, McCall has given fairly regular updates that the injury was more serious than they originally thought and Ramsden would be out for longer that first hoped.
  13. Any game Motherwell game I have seen, if the opposition puts it in their own net, it means we have scored.
  14. So you are saying that in the last 20 years, we have had no teams with character?
  15. That's generally the best way to win a game.
  16. It would hurt even more if Albion Rovers picked up the other trophy.
  17. I think we used up all our luck avoiding relegation/liquidation in the last 20 years.
  18. I waited a long time to see us win a Cup and, to be honest, when I did see it, one the reasons I was so happy was because I wasn't sure I'd be lucky enough to see it again. (Not because I'm an auld fart, but because I experienced so many disappointments in the 21 seasons prior to 91).
  19. Seems like the answer is to return to being dross.
  20. He's a kid and he makes the mistakes of an inexperienced keeper (that cost goals). The problem is, unlike outfield players, you can't really bring him on for 10 minutes here and 20 minutes there during a game to build up experience. Having seen him (albeit from highlights of the U20s) I'm not convinced he's ready for the step up yet. Not my call though, and whoever ends up between the sticks will get my support - even if it's the fans' favourite Neilsen ("the best option", "get him in now instead of Hollis", etc. etc.) Hopefully, we will have more first team regulars back in the defence, as I think that will make a big difference too.
  21. The other factor are our fans. They have been brutal in their support (or lack of) for both our keepers. If the youngster makes the same kind of mistake he made against Falkirk, there are plenty that would rip him a new one.
  22. It could ruin his confidence, set his progress back months and cost us points. That's the risk. The management team has to decide if the return is worth it.
  23. A couple of points to note. Even by U20s standards, he is a youngster - just turned 18 if the official site is accurate. The management may not think he's quite ready for the step up. JJ mentioned last night that he has had a dip in form recently and the Falkirk game was the first time in a while he was playing at his best. I'd imagine that has also influenced his promotion. I expect both parties entered the contract situation aware of the payments required to Celtic and the potential consequences, so you would hope that wouldn't be a factor.
  24. He's normally been OK from the U20 highlights I have seen, but he literally dropped a clanger in the Falkirk game last night. Put his name on a cross, and then floppy hands took over for Falkirk's 3rd.
