  1. When we signed Shaw, I thought that was to let us get back to starting with 2 strikers up top. Four successive games playing a lone striker and (barring biblical proportional miracles) four defeats on the trot surely confirms it doesn't suit us.
  2. Have you had that sitting in your cut and paste buffer for 6 months waiting for a chance to use it?
  3. If you look at Davies' track record, Nevin is spot on.
  4. So at least Livi's plans to keep the plastic sticky won't work.
  5. Muscat was a thug of a player, so could be an ideal fit.
  6. I see Gary McAllister linked as well. I really hope he doesn't get it.
  7. Celtic were at Peak Ange when we drew with them at Parkhead last season in their first loss of home points for a year.
  8. Karma making an appearance in Glasgow this evening.
  9. With all strikers fully fit I suspect Bair/Wilkinson is our biggest mismatch. Either of those 2 paired up with Obika, Biereth or Shaw is likely to be more effective. Of course, while we play one up top, it's a moot point.
  10. I think we need to be playing 2 strikers as soon as we have 2 fit strikers available.
  11. We lost Butcher because of that joke of a playing surface. No doubt they will keep it dry and sticky to reduce the possibility of making any kind of pass. I hope we beat them and they don't win another home game all season.
  12. I think's Turnbull's game is tailor-made for some of the European leagues where they aren't hell bent on high tempo, high press tactics. Doubt he'll choose that as an option, but hope he finds a regular start somewhere.
  13. Don't mind a bit of pantomime booing when an ex-player is on the field for the opposition. When DT has been in the stand as a spectator on a few occasions, however, I think he was given a warmer welcome.
  14. Less stressful if we'd just been mince. Discuss, but only after taking your pick..
  15. It's on the monthly subscription too. The PPV is for anyone, including people in Scotland who are normally excluded.
  16. Can Celtic just send us a cheque now for the trashed seats or do we need to wait until after the game?
  17. I'd prefer it if we started with two strikers. I know we have had injuries, but only fielding one recognised striker isn't ideal.
  18. SK is hanging his hat on Bair as his "project" so we'll should wait and see how that develops once he actually has a striking partner available. While it's easy to speculate on how good/bad this season's strikers are it's been impossible to make an informed decision while most of them have been injured. Of course, that won't stop plenty making uninformed decisions. This is the internet after all. Given how many people have slated, for example, Spittal, Slattery and Mugabi, in the past I'd rather wait to see the evidence on the pitch before jumping to rash conclusions.
  19. It's an old cliché, but we'll definitely play worse this season and win.
  20. Keeping our Ibrox record intact Make your choice...
  21. 23 mins instead of the usual 15 mins, but aye
  22. Not sure I could cope with back to back losses. That's the sort of thing that only happens to wee teams. Or Man Utd.
  23. Agree. It was the straight knockout that made it great and the fact that "big" teams could get knocked out early was part of the attraction. These days it's just a money making exercise where you can lose a couple of games and still progress.
