Never have a problem about a player being frustrated when subbed. As long as it doesn't carry over I see it as a sign they care.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't fancy a rebuilding job seeing as that was exactly the requirements before he signed his new contract. I'm not saying I'd be surprised if he moved on, but if that is the reason, then it seems strange that he signed a new contract under those conditions.

Two things here. 1) The authorities are 100% guaranteed to overreact to these incidents. 2) Every man and his dog that has been within 100 miles of a football match knows this It's not worth the risk, so why bother.

Exactly. There are exceptions, but these days (especially at our level) there are plenty of available players out there looking for clubs - so a Board usually has plenty of options and can afford to wait to see. Look at the quality of guys we have brought in on frees (from Randolph and Ojamaa to Law and McFadden) and you can see why there isn't a mad rush to pay hard cash these days.

Saw a few emails talking about that and I think an evening to discuss the options was planned. The idea being that, instead of the one-size-fits-all of 25k, there was going to be different price levels of corporate memberships too (plus installment plans).

Gordon's still injured and, by his own admission, has no idea if/when he is likely to be fit. I can't imagine any club signing him until that is clear.

Like I posted earlier, I really don't care what players do with their career after they leave us. However, "good move" depends on whether you are looking at finances or developing as a player. Best case, a couple of seasons in the Scottish lower divisions is going to leave any decent players' development pretty static. Worst case it could set them back. Great players become great by competing against the best.

It doesn't really matter if you are playing in front of 50,000 if you are playing Stenhousemuir. You aren't going to develop as a player unless you are up against equal or better players every week. Secondly, if The Rangers hit a sticky patch next campaign you can guarantee that 50k will soon drop to 10k. I don't think Law is stupid enough to join them (although his haircut suggests otherwise), but if he does, it's his loss. I have never been one to worry about where our ex-players end up. It's all about who is pulling on the claret and amber - the rest are just teams to beat.

Higdon was an OK'ish SPL player when we signed him However, depending on how many we lose, I expect we'll see a few guys from down south come in too.

In his post match, McCall said he took Higgy off because he didn't look like he was going to score today. How accurate that is, of course, is up for debate.

Credit to McCall too. He has found a system that suits his players, entertains the fans and wins games.

I think we'll be up for it. Looking to beat our record points total, Higgy looking for 30 goals and last home game of the season all should keep the edge on our team.

With the players leaving at the start of the season I thought we'd be doing OK if we finished top 6. To not only do that, but step it up a notch with record breaking performances along the way, has been outstanding.

Exactly what I was thinking. Lacks any real connection to the club and something Puma could sell to any of its customers and only need to change the badge.

Totally agree, and one of the reasons I think re-naming of stands (or stadiums) is pointless. Fans will tend to go with the original.

Yes, I think one game is irrelevant when you are voting for performance over a season - otherwise Higgy would have lost thanks to his (and the r4est of the teams') performance in Dingwall. Because of his performance over a season rather than just one game, and because if they didn't give it to Lennon they wanted to keep the award away from the SPL altogether (because they are feart).

I doubt his fellow managers are as narrow minded as some of our fans.
